Assimilation is the opposite of separation. Islam wants world assimilation into Sharia law. Socialism wants assimilation into a borderless world and economic control. The devil wants assimilation into his evil system. The Bible forbids Jews from assimilating into the nations when they were scattered. (Ezekiel 11:16) The Bible demands that Christians don’t assimilate into the world and remain separate. (2 Corinthians 6:17)
Zechariah 10:9 “I will sow them (Israel) among the peoples, and they shall remember Me in the far countries. They shall live together with their children, and they shall return.”
Shabbat (Sabbath) begins on Fridays at 6pm and ends on Saturdays at 6pm. The purpose is to help the church and Israel become reconciled in Messiah and to identify the rift, and the needed restoration. There is much in the church that needs to change before it can be fully reconciled with the Jew. Likewise, changes in Jewish thinking are also needed.

Shabbat Shalom to all:
The Bible reveals a controversy in the heart of the born-again believer. We are dead to self and sin, yet we keep arising, like dead men, to sin. (Romans 7:19) The work of the flesh wants to keep resurrecting sin in our lives, but when we see and understand the depth and power of the cross, self and sin stay dead.
You can’t beat sin’s power! That is a great revelation. You can only die to it.
Trying not to sin is the way of useless religion. It is the way of defeat and makes people subservient to the power of self / flesh.
Sin is a law, which always wins, just like gravity. You will be defeated and demoralised by trying to overcome it! It can only be overcome by a superior law – the law of life.
Romans 6:7 “He who has died has been freed from sin.”
Yes it’s all done for us in the spirit. But in the soul is the sneaky, sin-loving swine that needs to be defeated as we go forward.
The great exchange of our life for His life through the cross is only found in the New Covenant epistles. When it is at work, God’s way, it yields peace and many other glorious, good fruits.
A good measure of your progress in the Lord is seen in how often you say “thank you”, “please” and how often you yield, apologise and forgive others. It is also seen in how immovable you are on basic Bible truth. It is also seen in who your friends are and are not.
Getting slapped in the face is good for your progress. Actually, the slap is God’s doing, but turning the other cheek after being slapped, is our business. Turning the other cheek is our great opportunity for progress and service. It yields results.
The works of the law are about doing and not doing things. The law of life is all about being!
Many believers remain defeated at the foot of the cross. They believe in and apply the blood, which forgives sin, but they do not apply the cross, or their own daily cross, which strikes at the very root of sin. So they end up forgiven and burnt out from always trying to be holy.
The tragedy of superficiality today, is that many have tasted, received and applied some truth, but have not progressed far enough. Be careful out there, because not going far enough with our Lord is the first giant step to going backwards!
I love the Latin term, “Quo Vadis,” which means: “Where are you off to?” This was what our Lord said to Peter, who had basically given up following Him.
John 6:67 “Then Yeshua said to the twelve, do you also want to go away? Then Simon Peter said, ‘Lord to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.’”
We all need to progress beyond this devastating situation and the sooner the better! We have nowhere else to go, but to the devil and his world of perpetual, worsening evil. No way, no way! We must reach out always to our Lord, looking back with great thankfulness for His saving grace, and forward to the glory that lies before us.
►To the unsaved: Your time to reach out to our Lord for salvation is running out fast. What terrible regret there will be for those who miss their true golden opportunity! If God would allow you to come back and be saved after death, that would make the cross a mockery! Now is the time!
►To the backslider: Be careful...you are on very thin ice. Yes, the Lord loves the backslider, but He loves them to return. There are many big, hidden dangers for the backslider, especially in these days.
2 Peter 2:21 “It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from it.”
For the pilgrim’s progress, many times our will must be crushed because we are not weak enough in and of our own strength. “O wretched man that I am” (Romans 7:24) and “I must decrease” (John 3:30) are powerful biblical proclamations! Out of that comes: “I am more than a conqueror in Him.” (Romans 8:37)
The essence of the Christian life is not a changed life, but an exchanged life.
Our end is God’s beginning, for us, and for His kingdom, and for the eternal universe!
When you effectively die to self, you are free to progress fast, motivated by the approval of God alone and not man.
Psalm 62:5 (Amp) “My soul, wait only upon God and silently submit to Him; for my hope and expectation is from Him.”
When you get your doctrine right, with a right heart, and the leading of the Spirit, it will fast-track and streamline your progress to perfection and victory, which will even be evident in your own thought life, which leads to your words and actions.
There is great importance in being tested. Every academic student gets tested. God tests the faith of His own. The end result of the test is pass or fail.
God sent Israel into the wilderness to “test them to humble them, to see what was in their heart, to do them good in the end. But they tested God in the wilderness, so He gave them their desires but sent leanness into their soul!” (Deuteronomy 8:2, 16, Psalm 106: 14-15)
2+2 = anything you want it to, if there is no truth. If there is, it is dogmatically: 2+2=4!
We must be especially on guard now in these times against the spirit of error within the church. It is becoming a fast moving plague in many churches. Just as the Bible predicts, there is also a great many progressing well and flying high with the Lord.
If you follow false teachers for any amount of time you will become a false Christian and you will soon become incapable of knowing the truth. Evil spirits of error will distort you.
It is most important who you receive from and who’s teaching you must reject. The spirit of error is very powerful, don’t underestimate it. Even its “truth” is pride-filled error.
Be careful of those who repeatedly come up with “private interpretations” which is condemned, or those who always go for fringe doctrines. (2 Peter 1:20)
Beloved brethren, you have arrived already and are arriving daily as you progress to soon coming glory!

The Secrets of Prophecy:
The secrets of prophecy:
Deuteronomy 29:29 “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of the Lord.”
The verse above reveals that God has His secret things, and that revealed things belonging to us. It really is a waste of time even trying to find out what God’s secrets are. But the tragedy of our day is that even the revealed things are secret and hidden to today’s sleeping church.
Please note the very important last part of the verse above. The purpose of revelation and prophecy is that “we may do all the words of our Lord.”
Signs are not for our amusement and not to puff us up in pride or draw attention to ourselves. Signs, in our context, and in these days are to show many things about the soon coming of the Lord. The purpose of this is not to have knowledge so that you can put others down and exalt yourself. It IS so that you can be brought down in humility, brokenness and repentance; so that you may see and know the things of God so that you may be ready for our soon coming great, majestic, all knowing, all powerful, all glorious, all holy Lord, at His coming.
As prophecy unfolds it means our Lord is coming soon. Do you understand what that means? Do you really? My friends, it means that you and I are getting ever closer to the day when it’s all over. It means we are getting ever closer to the day when we will stand before God for reward and loss of reward! It means our eternal state is soon to be forever sealed and set.
The unfolding of Bible prophecy means that judgement is coming very soon upon the Messiah-rejecting world! It means that the wrath of God, the wrath of the Lamb, the wrath of man and the wrath of Satan are all about to explode onto the world stage.
Do you know who this great God is that you and I will stand before? If that knowledge does not bring you down in humility, you do not know God!
There are far too many out there who have plenty of head knowledge and a hard, rotten heart.
Bible prophecy is the eyes of the Church. Each one is a secret gem. Do you know why Bible prophecy is so ignored in the church today? It is because you need the Holy Spirit, alive and active in your heart to see, know and understand the deep things of God. To the Spirit-less, divided church, prophecy is meaningless.
The very purpose of prophecy is to reveal Yeshua, to warn, to guide and to encourage and lead us into victory. It is much more important than most people imagine.
To even begin to understand Bible prophecy we need to come before it with an attitude of humility and surrender. The Bible says that many deep things of God are revealed to babes, and hidden from the wise (in their own eyes).
One third of the Bible is prophecy! Isn’t that interesting?
Today three quarters or more of the church is blind to prophecy- and blind to the gems and secret glorious effects that they have on us. Prophecy and only prophecy produces certain gems in our lives.
We all know that great conflict is coming to the world very soon, but unfortunately there is also great conflict and disagreement in the realm of Bible prophecy and interpretation of it. If you get it right it is like a treasure hunt with glorious rewards. If you get it wrong your spiritual life will be greatly lacking and full of confusion.
Beware the soon coming darkness!
John 9:4 “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.”
John 12:35“...Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you...”
Isaiah 60:2-3 “Behold darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people, but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.”
1 Thessalonians 5:4-5 “you are not in darkness that this Day should overtake you...let us not sleep but watch.”
So much of Bible prophecy is like gems hidden in plain sight. But you need to have supernatural eyes to see and find these gems. You need to have God’s eyes to see through the world-created mists of confusion.
John 16:13 “When He the Spirit of truth has (fully) come, He will lead you into all truth and show you things to come.”
Methods of interpretation:
There are many methods of interpretation of prophecy out there. Be careful here, because these methods also run through into a much wider interpretation of the Bible and even our Lord.
All of the methods of interpretation have the ingredients and principles of one of two methods at work within them.
These are the Allegorical method and the Literal method. All other methods are contained within these two.
Prophecy includes the use of types, symbols, parables, dreams, double reference and much more.
Some methods are interpretive sacrilege, some exalt the men who invented them, some of them are irreconcilable with many other verses. Only one method harmonises perfectly with all scripture, is perfectly logical and is in fact occurring before our eyes in reality.
There is much evidence which I won’t go into now, due to space, that the early church before Constantine adopted the pre-millennial, literal method.
►The allegorical method is dangerous! It essentially disregards the literal meaning of words and gives wing to all manner of fanciful speculation as to meanings. It foists into verses the meaning of the interpreter. It has no consistent law of interpretation running throughout.
The basic authority of the allegorical interpreter ceases to be the Holy Spirit and the scriptures, but the subjective mind of the interpreter and what seems reasonable to him. It therefore makes consistent, sequential interpretation of scripture impossible.
The most dangerous, deceived interpreter of all was an individual called Origen. He invented the allegorical method, believing that no scripture has absolute meanings and must be interpreted or disregarded by the whims of the interpreter.
Bible eisegesis, in contrast to exegesis, involves putting context into verses yourself. Personal interpretation is the order of the day.
2 Peter 1:19-20 “We also have the prophetic word made more sure which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. Knowing this first; that no prophecy of scripture is of any private interpretation.”
►The literal method gives each word the same basic normal consistent meaning as it has in reality.
The literal method does not rule out figures of speech, symbols and allegories, but only if the logical meaning of the verse demands it.
One of the biggest proofs is that the Old Testament, whenever used in the New, is used in the literal sense.
All prophecy of the Old Testament fulfilled in either Testament was done so literally in space and time. Logically all unfulfilled prophecy has to continue in this consistent, literal pattern, in just the same manner. Fulfilled Bible prophecy has a 100% literal fulfilment record. Do you want to gamble against those odds?
Bible exegesis, involves drawing meaning from the text itself and surrounding passages (context) and is the backbone of the literal method.
More all- important issues of interpretation:
This is where the rubber meets the road! This is where there is wonderful victory or alternatively, the very door for Satan to walk right into your life.
All relevant passages must add up. The Bible must interpret the Bible. All portions of prophecy in the entire Bible must harmonise as they do in the literal method. They do not in the various allegorical methods.
Now we come to near and far implications or fulfilment. This is also called the law of double reference. Many times (not always) A Biblical event had immeidtae application in history. Then that same prophecy also has a double reference in that it applies to events much later on.
There are far too many examples to mention. But let’s just use two: The days of Noah occurred back in history, but they have a far-fulfilment for us as well today. The destruction of Babylon was a historical event. It too has many double references to our day.
►I had lunch the other day with a pastor friend of mine. I was amazed at the things he said. He said he now believes that God would not allow an antichrist to “devour” people because He is a God of love. He then had to look for supporting scripture. This led him to the Preterist view of eschatology (end-times).
The Preterist view is one of the offshoots of the allegorical method of interpretation. The word “preter” means “past” in Latin. This view believes that all prophecy of the end times was fulfilled in the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD, and that all things now, will simply continue from day to day as always. There will be no antichrist and Israel in prophecy is meaningless etc.
The preterist view originated with a Catholic Jesuit, Luis de Alcazar in the 1500s. At this time the Catholic popes were in the process of murdering millions of Jews in the inquisitions. These popes were accused of being antichrist because of this mass murder. The Jesuit leader then came up with a method to counteract claims that the pope of the day was the antichrist, because of the mass murder of Jews.
The idiot claimed that all the events of the book of Revelation were fulfilled at and by the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD.He kind-of forgot that the Revelation was only penned around 100AD!
The preterist view has to get rid of, or deny, or explain away one third of the Bible (which it does), simply because one third of the Bible is prophecy and most of this relates to our time now.
Can you see the problem? If you start with your own ideas and thoughts, wrong as they are in this case, and then go and look for supporting scripture, the devil will lead you to find it!
Many, who hold to Preteristerism today, have a common reason to hold the view, and this is that they don’t believe God could possibly be a severe judge, because He is a God of love. Firstly God is not a God of love man’s way. His love includes the removal of all sin, evil and unholiness, which He does through judgement. God's love is counterbalanced by His righteousness.
Secondly, you don’t go to a doctrine born in the heart of a mass murderer, a Jesuit maniac, trying to defend his equally maniacal popes in the midst of the inquisitions which in which millions of Jews were murdered by the Catholic church. The sad thing is that the Preterist view is full of replacement thelogy! (Replacing Israel with the church.) Preterism has to get rid of end-time prophecy. As a result it has to focus on a continuing world with no coming antichrist or wrath of judgment.
You do NOT approach scripture or prophecy that way! You come before God in humility, in brokenness and surrender, with all your preconceived ideas cast down to the ground. Then you enquire of Him. Then you ask Him to show you truth!
Psalm25:14 “The secret (council) of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant.”
The real Berean is one who “searches the scriptures to see if these things be true.” And NOT one who searches man-made doctrines and interpretations to back up a humanistic ideology. If your basis of interpretation of the Bible is man-made doctrines, or comes from the so-called church fathers or the reformers or any modern doctrine – you are a fool of monumental proportions. You have already been led astray. You need to repent and cast down all your rubbish and come spiritually naked before our Lord. Take off your man-made doctrine-glasses and jump on them until they are forever smashed and unusable.
It’s easy to find a brotherhood of deceived believers and join up with them as they fuel each other’s fires. Let the Spirit of the living God lead you to a brotherhood of true prophets with soft hearts before our Lord and true doctrine in their hearts and heads.
Better still, become your own diligent Berean.
Do you want to find the gems and secrets?
Amos3:7-8 “The Lord does nothing unless He reveals His secrets to His servants the prophets. A lion has roared! Who will not fear?”
Daniel 2:47 “The king answered Daniel and said, ‘Truly your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret.’”
There are so many wonderful things contained in prophecy. Surrendering to our Lord and allowing Him to show you these is a real adventure. It creates in you holiness, excitement, deep satisfaction and inner joy.
Do you want to be shocked? Let me tell you something so politically incorrect but so true. Most people would throw God in jail for this if they could!
Daniel 2:21-22 “...He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals deep and secret things...”
Note in the above verse that it the wise that get more wisdom. It is those with knowledge that get even more! It’s not the ones who really need it that get more from God. In fact there is a principle contained in a few parables of God taking away from those with little and giving more to those with much!
Of course God wants all to be saved. But He wants all to be broken from their curses of poverty and failure first before He blesses them abundantly.
So in this verse we see the wonderful principle of God giving more wisdom, knowledge and understanding to those who have some of it already and want to move forward with our Lord. You can’t exhaust God’s supply of wisdom and knowledge. Do you have some? Good. Have you tasted how good it is and now want more? Good, good, good!
In these days my friends, you need to be right with God to receive more and more from Him and boy O boy! Do we all need it and it is good and great!
Personally if there is more wisdom, knowledge and understanding available and there is a promise to attain it, and conditions to be met, I want it all.
My prayer for you and myself is: God show me Your secret wonders and the gems of your amazing, wonderful word.
The secret gem of Israel
Romans 11:25-27 “For I do not desire brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you shall be wise in your own opinion, that hardening in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.”
The verse above should be well known to our readers. It simply shows that Israel has a glorious future. The hardening is in part, meaning that it will soon be over. The veil of their blindness will soon be lifted.
But this verse reveals a great tragedy as well. It reveals that those who come against the future plan of God for Israel are “wise in their own opinions”. We could also call this tremendous pride and self- importance. These ones are blinded by God in their supposed cleverness.
This verse condemns the ministers, pastors, bishops, priests, reverends, popes, and congregation members of replacement theology. It promises them that they will be “cut off and not spared.” (Romans 11:21-22)
The next edition:
This edition is a preliminary look at some aspects of prophecy and interpretation. I needed to lay this foundation because in the next edition, I will look at some very startling prophecies using the principle of double reference.
I will identify all the major nations of the world in Bible prophecy. You will be very surprised!
What you must do:
●You must beware of interpretations of the Bible rooted in man. Throw out and destroy the allegorical methods of interpretation.
●Get rid of all pride and self-seeking as you approach our Lord.
●You must desire to pay the price to move forward into His deep revelation.
Psalm 36:9 “For with you is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light.”
Jeremiah 33:3 (Amp) “Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know or recognise, or have knowledge of nor understand.”
Colossians 2:8 (Amp) “See to it that no one carries you off or captivates you by so-called philosophy and intellectualism and vain deceit, following human traditions, men’s ideas of the material word, following the elemental teachings of the universe and disregarding the teachings of the Messiah.”
I took this picture in the Chobe area of Botswana. To me the representation is simply the beauty of God’s creation in nature and in His word.
Job 12 7-9 “But now ask the beasts and they will teach you; and the birds of the air and they will tell you; or speak to the earth and it will teach you; and the fish of the sea and they will explain to you. Who among all of these do not know that the hand of the Lord has done this, in whose hand is the life of every living thing?”
Shalom and grow in grace!
