- ”America has finally decided the Bible is not illegal!” (Jerusalem Post) The US, in a historic move has declared that it will not use the term “settlements” anymore, legalising and legitimising Jewish control over Judea and Samaria.
- Ironically, the UN passed a resolution yesterday with 154 nations voting in favour of the Temple Mount falling under full Muslim control, rejecting Israel’s ownership.
- Israel attacks numerous Syrian targets near Damascus in response to Syria / Iran rocket attacks on Israel - all shot down by Israel's Iron Dome (20th Nov.) Israel says will now respond to every attack. "Its a new day."
- Iran continues to break all rules in pursuit of nuclear weapons. Very soon, someone (US and Israel) will bring her to book!
These will change on Sundays or as the Lord leads.
The following verses apply well to the mass media:
Job 9:4 “Who has hardened his heart against Him and prospered?”
Isaiah 43:13 “...I work and who can reverse it?”
Philippians 1:9 “I pray that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and all discernment...”
Jeremiah 7:28 “You shall say to them, ‘This is a nation that does not obey the voice of the Lord their God, nor receive correction. Truth has perished and been cut off from their mouth.”
Shabbat (Sabbath) begins on Fridays at 6pm and ends on Saturdays at 6pm. The purpose is to help the church and Israel become reconciled in Messiah and to identify the rift, and the needed restoration. There is much in the church that needs to change before it can be fully reconciled with the Jew. Likewise, changes in Jewish thinking are also needed.

Shabbat Shalom to all!
The evil “I am”:
This is the ‘me now’ generation, ruled by ‘me, myself, I.’ It is the generation where the cry of the masses is “I am, and there is no other”. Here it is written in ages past:
Isaiah 47:10 “You have trusted in your wickedness. You have said, ‘no one sees me.’ Your wisdom and your knowledge have warped you; and you have said in your heart, ‘I am, and there is no one else besides me.’”
One of the titles of our Messiah is “I am.” So, which ‘I am’ are you going to serve?
In the last few weeks I had two dramatic, most insightful encounters with two individuals, who had professed to be believers for years. Let’s call them Mr A. and Miss B.
Mr A has a foul mouth. I asked him to watch his language, and then spoke of something I had written here in The Prophetic Scroll (TPS). Well, Mr. A exploded and condemned me and TPS, with a tirade of swearing. To be honest, I was shocked to see the sudden extent of his antagonism.
Miss B then came along and exploded because I pointed out that the Bible condemned some of her witchcraft practises which she had tried to mix into her so-called Christianity. She instantly yelled like an electrified Jezebel, rejecting everything I said including the words of the Bible.
These two events are indicative and symptomatic of the world today, including some of the modern compromised churches.
Firstly, let’s analyse the events:
Both Mr A and Miss B were challenged to repent of sin. Both had a violent reaction to the conviction. It was not me or TPS or the Bible that they were offended at, but the personal application of conviction repentance and change, which was now on the table.
It was the conviction that they tried to get rid of by choosing the way of confrontation, and hostility. The way of spineless love would be to say nothing and tolerate it. The way of real godly love is the way of rebuke, and correction. (2 Timothy 3:16) If the individual will not receive it, so be it.
In the light you see the truth, but you also see sin. The light of God will reveal it and what to do about it. The darkness will hide it and attack the light! You can only repent from sin. If you remove what is called sin, re-name it, or water it down, no repentance is required and anything goes.
A hazy spiritual light will give you unclear half truths.
There are a number of bad things at work within many people. They want nothing standing in the way of self’s sin. They want no conviction. They are their own “I am.”
They want to bring people, ministries and the Bible down because it correctly identifies sin and opposes their participation in it. They try to exalt themselves above all authority.
They must tear down the things of God to give expression to their sin-nature.
The world and its god, fallen man and his god, are speeding down the road to soon coming doom.
●These end-times are bringing our Lord closer. ●The antichrist is also getting closer.
●The Man of holiness is drawing near. ●The man of sin is drawing near.
But for sin to flourish, holiness must be cast down. This is the state of the world today.
The problem with many today is that they are deceived, ignorant, don’t care, are proud, with no knowledge of God, and no restraint and discipline.
Most people today are a living offence to God. Of course, they can’t see that, because they are in the dark. It is the responsibility of the church to shed God’s light into this fallen world now.
As the end of the age approaches, the true church is becoming clearly visible in the light of God’s truth, and so is the false church! The eternal glorious kingdom of God, which will be the real survivor, is becoming more evident all the time, but it is exclusive.
By the way, the false church is not destroyed by God in the tribulation. It is destroyed, by its own god, the false Messiah!
The false church is becoming easier to spot. It is designed to make you comfortable in the world and in sin. It hides and obscures sin and its consequences. When the cross is obscured, sin is elevated.
The comfort of the world is not worth the effort of seeking. The world will comfort you in your sin and say, ‘it’s all okay now’. The word of God will not comfort you in your sin. It will condemn and convict you, and then empower you to change and become holy. That is what real true love is all about!
The well used term “There is now no condemnation,” is greatly misused in the church. In reality it is associated with repentance. It is conditional. Here it is:
Romans 8:1 “There is no condemnation to those who are in Messiah, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”
The woman caught in adultery was forgiven by our Lord. (John 8:10-11) But He said to her, ‘Now go and sin no more.’ This was the command of repentance and correction. She was not forgiven to continue in adultery.
Tradition holds that this was the “woman of sin” in Luke 7:37 and in fact was Mary Magdalene. If it was her, that means that her repentance led to her being the first one to see our Lord resurrected. It is a repentant attitude and life that cause spiritual sight.
May I say, that if you want a healthy spiritual life, break from the world’s ways and join and receive the word’s ways. Repent of sin now, but be advised, that a walk of repentance will do you more good than any exercises ever will!
Yes be free in your God-given liberty, but always keep an eye on the old sin nature and its desire to self-resurrect and trip you up.
Above all, in these dangerous days - exalt, uplift, revere and magnify the word of God in your life.
Be encouraged, stand strong – you can and must!
Edition 247. February 18th 2015
The year the greatest drama of all begins:
The year the greatest drama of all begins:
Lord willing, over the next few editions I am going to share with you some earth shattering material! My friends, we have little time left! Let me first of all say that I work for my Lord and Saviour. I do not and am not answerable to anyone at all who repeatedly says “don’t deal with dates.”
I never have and never will set the “day and hour”, but I will deal with signs, times and Bible teachings that fit into everything but the “day and hour”. (Even that has another dimension to it, which we won’t get into now.) So if you are one of those who thinks everything will continue as always, and we should not deal with dates – you’re in the wrong place.
We are in times of escalating dramas on just about all world fronts. In the Middle East things are getting worse not better. So yes we are going to have another look at the prophetic calendar to see where we are.
If you really take to heart what I will present to you in this and the next few editions, you will be shocked, surprised and blessed.
My friend, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, author of New York Times best seller “The Harbinger” has just sent me his new book, “The Mystery of the Shemitah, which I highly recommend. It really is excellent – go and buy it!
In this book Jonathan outlines the coming big economic collapse and the reasons for it, all based on a repeating age old Biblical mystery, which I’ll touch briefly on in this edition.
There are many other notable, reputable watchmen out there saying much the same thing but based on different inputs from our Lord. And of course we have flocks of stupid, gullible wannabe Lord’s spokesmen on Youtube constantly producing and spitting out tons of garbage. (As always, don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater – don’t keepthe bathwater either!)
Deuteronomy 15:1-2 identifies what the Shemitah is and what is to occur. A Shemitah occurs on every seventh year of the seven-year agricultural cycle, ending on Elul 29th. (Hebrew calendar.) It is also known as the year of release because on this last day of the Shemitah year, the people were to release debtors from their debts and return land to the original owners. The Shemitah applies to the whole year and to the last day of that year.
The observance of the Shemitah reveals obedience to God’s law and covenant. Breaking it demonstrates contempt for God and His ways.
If a Shemitah is ignored and debts are not released, God brings judgement on the land.
This judgement falls within the Shemitah year and in most cases on the last day. The judgement always takes the form of economic punishment.
It’s worth bearing in mind that within the last 40 years the greatest financial turning points to the downside have been connected to the Shemitah 100% of the time. The market crashes of 1929, 1987, 2001, 2008 were all connected with a Shemitah. (Jonathan Cahn.)
The reason why these incredible facts have not been picked up by the financial press and analysts is because The Shemiatah is calculated on the Jewish calendar and thus falls on different days and dates on the normal (Gregorian) calendar.
Interestingly this Shemitah year that we are in now ends on Elul 29 as always, but it is September 13th on the Gregorian calendar. That is a Sunday, meaning that the nearest point when the stock markets will be open still within the Shemitah is September 11th! (An ominous date!)
Note: There are contentions on the Jubilee. Some believe that the Jubilee was not counted while Israel was out of favour, which includes much of the last 2000 years. There are other contentions as well. So don’t put undue emphasis on the Jubilee calendar for these reasons.
The Jubilee occurs every 50 years and is recorded in Leviticus 25:8-13. In the Jubilee everyone is to return property to original owners. Because the land belongs to God, no Israeli was allowed to sell his land permanently. All land sales were temporary in nature. (Leviticus 25:23-28). If land was sold it had to be returned on the Jubilee and outstanding debts were cancelled. (It is very similar to the Shemitah here.)
Land was never to depart from the family of the lease-hold owners. Even if an urgent sale was needed because the owner had become poor, only a partial sale was allowed by Levitical law so that the land could return to the owner on the Jubilee. People and prisoners were released from slavery. This meant that there was no permanent slavery or that any part of the land could be permanently in the control of others.
When a Jubilee year comes around once every 50 years, it always follows a Shemiath on the very next day.
A Jubilee occurs at the end of every cycle of seven Shemitah years = 49 years. The 50th becomes the year of Jubilee and the start of the next cycle.
If the Shemitah is obeyed, blessing, freedom and release are promised. Freedom and release from debt is also the objective of the Jubilee. If not – judgment comes.
Now take note:
A new Jubilee begins as this Shemitah we are in now ends. This is the 70th Jubilee since they began.
We are now on the verge of the 70th Jubilee. It is also the 40th Jubilee since the death of Messiah.
There are 120 Jubilees in 6000 years. Interestingly, on the Hebrew Torah calendar, we are now at 6000 years since Adam. (The earth is much older, but that is another subject).
●The number 40 is associated with testing, trial, judgement and probation.
●The number 70 is associated with captivity, release, completeness, and perfection.
●The number 120 is associated with repentance and the deliverance from Egypt and the building of the Ark.
►Now, here is the big, all-important question. Who owns the land of Israel?
Pentecost and Jubilee:
The Church began on Pentecost. Is it conceivable that it will end as a year of Jubilee begins? Why Jubilee, what’s that got to do with Pentecost? A Jubilee occurs every 50 years. The word Pentecost means “fifty.” The number “fifty” points to fullness and completion. Do you see the association between Pentecost and Jubilee?
“Sorry God, I gave Your land away!”
I want to draw your attention to a shocking fact which our Lord revealed to me while reading Jonathan Cahn’s book. He didn’t mention this in his book, but it was like a light just came on from our Lord.
We know full well that God owns the land and that He gave it in covenant to the children of Israel. (You’ll find that in numerous verses as well as in the Quran!)
But God did not give the land to the Israeli’s in outright, full, complete, title-deed ownership. It was like a lease-hold agreement of sorts. The ins and outs of this are quite complex but very important to understand. You will shortly see the profound dramatic consequences of it all.
Does Israel have the God-given right to divide the land up and the capital city, Jerusalem, for Islamic Palestinians? – NO! Does Israel have the right to make land-for-peace deals using the land? – NO! Does Israel have the right to build “settlements” anywhere they like within Israel? –YES!
Does Israel have the right to make the big peace deal of Daniel 9:27 between itself, the Palestinians and the world? – NO!
Let me ask you this: If you have some land under a lease-hold agreement do you have the right to sell it without the original owner’s consent? No you don’t!
Do you see what is emerging? Israel has made fateful mistakes with all her land-for-peace deals. She has made disastrous choices by dividing the land without the approval of the land-owner and tile deed holder – God!
Do you see what is coming and where this is all going? Israel continues to make these deals albeit under pressure from the world.
It’s not because appeasement of Islam is the problem or placating the Palestinians, or sucking up to the world, although those are huge problems. It is because Israel has ignored the will and word of the original land - owner. Israel has forsaken many of the details of God’s covenants with her.
How can Israel now allow the whole land to rest and pay back debts as required on a Shemitah and that is part of the requirement for the grand release of debt in the Jubilee? Israel can’t because she has permanently got rid of parts of the land to Islamic Palestinians.
Do you know what God’s response to being left out of all these deals will be? My brother Jonathan Cahn is right – economic collapse is coming. It will begin in “little Israel”, the USA, and feed through to Israel and the world.
But much worse than this; the entire seven-year tribulation period will be God’s pay - back in judgement. Unfortunately it will be the worst time the world including Israel has ever seen.
You see, Shemitah and Jubilee are setting the world up for its greatest time of destruction. At the end of the Jubilee the Millennium will arise and the greatest release from debt ever.
Do you want to side with the world’s two-state solution? You great fool! You are about to see and partake in the greatest drama of all time – on the wrong side of the fence!
You see, Israel has already “sold” too much of the land to the Palestinians for their homeland, against God’s will. They have made too many land concessions. Very soon Israel will sit opposite the person who will become the antichrist, (false Messiah), to sign a peace treaty of sorts. This will most probably be a much larger, peace for land deal.
In terms of a lease-hold arrangement you can’t sell or even give away someone else’s property! You can’t sell or give away God’s property. You can’t sign peace pacts and make land concessions with God’s property!
On the Jubilee, it must go back to Him the rightful owner – God and the lease - holders, the Jews.
Is an economic collapse possible this year, the Shemitah?
Obedience to the requirements of Shemitah brings blessings, and rebellion to it brings financial judgment.
So, are we anywhere near an economic collapse? Let’s have a look deep into the heart of the stock markets, which represent the overall health of the economy. Bear in mind that stock markets are always anticipatory looking forward about six to nine months or so.
The US markets more or less lead the world’s markets so we must focus on them. The S&P500 is the most representative of the overall economy of the US and to an extent, the world.
Market history repeats itself. People react the same way to greed and fear all the time. Besides this there are numerous technical indicators that give us a fairly reliable look into the future. Combining important forward looking data and technical indicators gives us a much greater chance of getting our call right.
Having a firm knowledge of Bible prophecy adds further weight to this.
Right now many world markets are making record highs. The upward trend has recently become volatile, but a trend is a trend and presumes a continuation of direction. But markets get to a stage where they become overvalued (or undervalued) and the trend changes.
As a trend change approaches, many charting technical indicators begin to “fire” giving warnings. By the way, I have correctly called every major market trend change since the late 80s. (Not daily moves but the larger longer moves.)
We are now extremely overvalued. Markets are way above their long-term price-earnings ratios. This is a warning sign that the trend will soon change.
I use numerous advanced technical indicators, one of which I developed myself and it works wonderfully. Right now there is a convergence of indicators just beginning to give out warning signals.
Here are two very important fundamental indicators. (Combining fundamental and technical analyses increases your odds of being right even more.)
The Baltic Dry Index (below): (The red arrows mark the 1987 crash, the crash of 2008 and our position now.)
This important leading indicator measures the amount of shipping trade worldwide. It points to the overall health of the world economy. The higher it is the more world trade is going on indicating health. Don’t be fooled by the name, it’s got nothing to do with the Baltic Sea or the US alone for that matter. It’s a world trade indicator.
First quarter US earnings estimates (below):
This graph below shows the sharp downturn in US corporate earnings. This is the estimation for Quarter 1. The previous quarter was much better. This is the opposite of what the stock markets are doing, they are flying high. Something has to give and give it will very soon! Flying record breaking markets pre-suppose very strong future growth. Do you see the problem?
The New York Margin Debt Index (below): (Margin debt is simply the amount of money being borrowed by investors to trade the market.) Note that investor trading debt is now much higher than the levels of the 1987 crash, the 2001 crash, and the 2008 crash.) Guess what’s coming soon?
Whenever margin debt goes above 2.25%, the market always crashes shortly afterwards. This occurred just before the great crashes of 1929, 2001 and 2008. Investors had become too highly geared, with greed ruling. They wanted to take advantage of soaring stocks. They had borrowed too much. This was the underlying cause of the sub-prime market meltdown as well.
The funny thing is that insiders see high margin debt as positive while it is actually a manifestation and measure of pure greed which acts in a contrarian fashion causing the market to deteriorate.
You can see the two previous crashes and where we are now. We can only carry on this upward trend if future prospects and growth are to be very strong and enduring. – It’s not going to be!
The margin debt index is now at 2.4%, which is above crash level!
So now we have some very important indicators. World economic growth is slowing, and investors are far too complacent and leveraged. Nations as a whole are far too debt laden. Very strong future economic growth is needed to sustain these debt levels. Strong economic growth is needed to justify the heady valuations of stocks.
A surging, strong, trending, record - breaking stock market presupposes strong economic growth well into the future and it’s not going to happen.
Either the world economy has to turn tail and fly high quickly or the world’s stock markets have to correct sharply to price in the new forward-looking slow-down.
Markets rise or fall on the engine of perception, and the sentiment of fear or greed. A market making new highs is driven by euphoria, optimism, hope and greed. But this can change in a day. Whatever the reason, suddenly, this sentiment can change to fear, panic and capitulation causing a giant melt-down.
When a market falls 10% or more in no more than a few days, we call it a crash. Less than that, we call a correction. A sustained downward move is called a bear market and a rising market is called a bull market.
Now enter the wild card - the smoking sentiment of geo-political events gone crazy.
This could and will in fact be the trigger to set off the big sentiment change.
Now add to all of this the predictions and warnings from my friend Jonathan Cahn in his New York Times best seller “The Harbinger” and his new book, “The Mystery of the Shemitah”, and can you see the future?
We have a convergence of technical, fundamental and biblical data and events all pointing towards a soon coming world economic melt-down.
My contention is that we are near to an economic collapse, and perhaps the worst the world has ever seen.
Before the tribulation begins, the world economy must be destabilised, in catastrophe and upheaval, so that the antichrist can take it over.
The US / Israel relationship:
We must understand that there is a close relationship between the USA and Israel. The US has always been a safe haven and home for the greatest number of Jews outside of Israel.
The US is also of importance especially in the end-times, simply because of its size and economic influence in the world. God has blessed the US for these things. Let’s not forget that the US has been a world leader in the spread of the gospel worldwide. No nation on earth has spent so much money, time and effort on world evangelism than the US.
The US has secured her right-standing with God since her existence, by being pro-Israel on many fronts including trade, military, financial and others.
The US has in the past always stood against Israel’s enemies in a major way. In many ways the US has felt the heat of Israel’s injuries as if they were her own.
But 9/11 revealed the cracks and the beginning of a much greater fall to come. Because of this closeness, the US and Israel are inextricably linked.
A huge world economic melt-down could begin in the US based on overvaluations alone. War in the Middle East will most likely be the trigger of collapse.
Blood moons and solar eclipses:
Interestingly there are two solar eclipses in this Shemitah year. One marks the centre point on Adar 29th (March 20th) and the other is on the last day, Elul 29th (September 13th.)
According to Rabbi Cahn, the sages taught that when the sun was in eclipse it was a bad omen for the world and when the moon was in eclipse it is a bad omen for Israel.
In a nutshell the blood-moons are harbingers and omens of bad things to come soon. We are now in the middle of this tetrad of blood moons. We will not see a convergence of blood-moons like this for hundreds of years. So are they important? – You bet! They are also of great importance because they are converging now with so many other things.
The great convergence:
This Hebrew year 5775 (2015) and next year sees a massive, very important, extremely rare convergence of things with great prophetic importance.
●The Shemitah year.
●The Jubilee year.
●The blood - moon tetrad combined with important solar eclipses.
●The prophetic numbers 40 and 70 and 120 appearing.
●Israel is preparing to build the Third Temple. (See The Temple Institute.)
●More and more Jews are beginning to recognise their Messiah.
●The great prophesied wars of Isaiah 17; Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38 &39 are on the doorstep.
●The world is overripe for judgement.
It’s important to realise that we will not see a convergence of data and events like this again for who knows how long!
What can we say then, is 2015 the year of great drama?
The answer is ‘yes’ for sure. Is it the year of the rapture and the start of the tribulation period? Many things are looking that way, but we can’t be absolutely sure. We can watch, pray, be ready, be hopeful, but we can’t set a date cast in stone.
God has commanded us to “know the times and season”.
Don’t go into the ditch on the other side by ignoring these things either!
Here is a great teacher with an eschatology slant:
You can find the teachings of Jonathan Cahn HERE.
This was one of my early styles. I did this painting in oils using mostly a palette knife and various blending and texture techniques.
I took the picture below while on foot in the beautiful Savuti area of Botswana.
