Assimilation is the opposite of separation. Islam wants world assimilation into Sharia law. Socialism wants assimilation into a borderless world and economic control. The devil wants assimilation into his evil system. The Bible forbids Jews from assimilating into the nations when they were scattered. (Ezekiel 11:16) The Bible demands that Christians don’t assimilate into the world and remain separate. (2 Corinthians 6:17)
Zechariah 10:9 “I will sow them (Israel) among the peoples, and they shall remember Me in the far countries. They shall live together with their children, and they shall return.”
Shabbat (Sabbath) begins on Fridays at 6pm and ends on Saturdays at 6pm. The purpose is to help the church and Israel become reconciled in Messiah and to identify the rift, and the needed restoration. There is much in the church that needs to change before it can be fully reconciled with the Jew. Likewise, changes in Jewish thinking are also needed.

Shabbat Shalom to all:
The Bible reveals a controversy in the heart of the born-again believer. We are dead to self and sin, yet we keep arising, like dead men, to sin. (Romans 7:19) The work of the flesh wants to keep resurrecting sin in our lives, but when we see and understand the depth and power of the cross, self and sin stay dead.
You can’t beat sin’s power! That is a great revelation. You can only die to it.
Trying not to sin is the way of useless religion. It is the way of defeat and makes people subservient to the power of self / flesh.
Sin is a law, which always wins, just like gravity. You will be defeated and demoralised by trying to overcome it! It can only be overcome by a superior law – the law of life.
Romans 6:7 “He who has died has been freed from sin.”
Yes it’s all done for us in the spirit. But in the soul is the sneaky, sin-loving swine that needs to be defeated as we go forward.
The great exchange of our life for His life through the cross is only found in the New Covenant epistles. When it is at work, God’s way, it yields peace and many other glorious, good fruits.
A good measure of your progress in the Lord is seen in how often you say “thank you”, “please” and how often you yield, apologise and forgive others. It is also seen in how immovable you are on basic Bible truth. It is also seen in who your friends are and are not.
Getting slapped in the face is good for your progress. Actually, the slap is God’s doing, but turning the other cheek after being slapped, is our business. Turning the other cheek is our great opportunity for progress and service. It yields results.
The works of the law are about doing and not doing things. The law of life is all about being!
Many believers remain defeated at the foot of the cross. They believe in and apply the blood, which forgives sin, but they do not apply the cross, or their own daily cross, which strikes at the very root of sin. So they end up forgiven and burnt out from always trying to be holy.
The tragedy of superficiality today, is that many have tasted, received and applied some truth, but have not progressed far enough. Be careful out there, because not going far enough with our Lord is the first giant step to going backwards!
I love the Latin term, “Quo Vadis,” which means: “Where are you off to?” This was what our Lord said to Peter, who had basically given up following Him.
John 6:67 “Then Yeshua said to the twelve, do you also want to go away? Then Simon Peter said, ‘Lord to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.’”
We all need to progress beyond this devastating situation and the sooner the better! We have nowhere else to go, but to the devil and his world of perpetual, worsening evil. No way, no way! We must reach out always to our Lord, looking back with great thankfulness for His saving grace, and forward to the glory that lies before us.
►To the unsaved: Your time to reach out to our Lord for salvation is running out fast. What terrible regret there will be for those who miss their true golden opportunity! If God would allow you to come back and be saved after death, that would make the cross a mockery! Now is the time!
►To the backslider: Be careful...you are on very thin ice. Yes, the Lord loves the backslider, but He loves them to return. There are many big, hidden dangers for the backslider, especially in these days.
2 Peter 2:21 “It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from it.”
For the pilgrim’s progress, many times our will must be crushed because we are not weak enough in and of our own strength. “O wretched man that I am” (Romans 7:24) and “I must decrease” (John 3:30) are powerful biblical proclamations! Out of that comes: “I am more than a conqueror in Him.” (Romans 8:37)
The essence of the Christian life is not a changed life, but an exchanged life.
Our end is God’s beginning, for us, and for His kingdom, and for the eternal universe!
When you effectively die to self, you are free to progress fast, motivated by the approval of God alone and not man.
Psalm 62:5 (Amp) “My soul, wait only upon God and silently submit to Him; for my hope and expectation is from Him.”
When you get your doctrine right, with a right heart, and the leading of the Spirit, it will fast-track and streamline your progress to perfection and victory, which will even be evident in your own thought life, which leads to your words and actions.
There is great importance in being tested. Every academic student gets tested. God tests the faith of His own. The end result of the test is pass or fail.
God sent Israel into the wilderness to “test them to humble them, to see what was in their heart, to do them good in the end. But they tested God in the wilderness, so He gave them their desires but sent leanness into their soul!” (Deuteronomy 8:2, 16, Psalm 106: 14-15)
2+2 = anything you want it to, if there is no truth. If there is, it is dogmatically: 2+2=4!
We must be especially on guard now in these times against the spirit of error within the church. It is becoming a fast moving plague in many churches. Just as the Bible predicts, there is also a great many progressing well and flying high with the Lord.
If you follow false teachers for any amount of time you will become a false Christian and you will soon become incapable of knowing the truth. Evil spirits of error will distort you.
It is most important who you receive from and who’s teaching you must reject. The spirit of error is very powerful, don’t underestimate it. Even its “truth” is pride-filled error.
Be careful of those who repeatedly come up with “private interpretations” which is condemned, or those who always go for fringe doctrines. (2 Peter 1:20)
Beloved brethren, you have arrived already and are arriving daily as you progress to soon coming glory!

Amazing prophetic insights:
Amazing prophetic insights:
In this edition I want to have a further look at some things we have just touched on before and others not at all. Most of these things relate to the rapture of the church and the following tribulation period.
When we pre-tribulation rapture believers, look at the tribulation period, there is always a sense of glorious victory and thankfulness that we will “escape these things.” The post-tribber always looks ahead to the tribulation with fear, gloominess and despair!
Most of this edition requires pure simple logic. I know that many will bear witness to these truths and their hearts will leap for joy!
Luke 21:25-26 (Amp) “There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars, and upon the earth distress, trouble and anguish of nations in bewilderment and perplexity, not knowing which way to turn at the roaring of the tossing sea. Men will swoon away and expire with fear, dread and apprehension and at the expectation of the things that are coming upon the world, for the very powers of the heavens will be shaken.”
Psalm 19:9-11 “The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever. The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether, more to be desired than gold, fine gold, sweeter than honey and the honeycomb. By them, Your servant is warned, and in keeping them, there is great reward.”
Insights into the tribulation period:
Right up front let me say that the true, born-again church will not go through any part of the tribulation. But not all who think they are the church are the church! Many entire churches will go right into the tribulation!
Many are believers in name only. Their hearts are far from God, as can be seen in their fruits and love for the world.
All of the unsaved will go into the seven-year tribulation. Many will get saved and become “tribulation saints”. Many will turn viciously against God, cursing him, knowing that the judgements are from Him.
The entire world system will be destroyed in the seven-year tribulation. We as believers are offered a great escape before it all goes bang.
Bible names and descriptions of the tribulation period:
●Jacob’s trouble (Jeremiah 30:7) ●Seventieth week of Daniel for “My people” (Jews) (Daniel 9:27) ●Day of Israel’s disaster (Deuteronomy 32:35), (Obadiah 1:12-14) ●The wrath of God (Revelation15:1) ●The hour of judgement (Revelation 14:7) ●The day of distress and tribulation (Deuteronomy 4:30) ●The overflowing scourge (Isaiah 28:15, 18). ●The day of vengeance (Isaiah 34:8) ●The year of vengeance and retribution (Isaiah 34:8) ●The day of wrath and ruin (Zephaniah 1:15) ●The day of darkness, blackness, and gloominess (Zephaniah 1:15)
Let’s string these descriptions together:
Coming upon “My People” (Jews) is disaster for Israel, the wrath of God, the time of judgement, distress and tribulation. An overflowing scourge, vengeance and retribution, is coming. Ruin, darkness, blackness, gloominess.
If you look at the character of these points above, and there are many more, you can only come to the conclusion of a pre-tribulation rapture. Since when is even one of these points above due to come upon the church?
The very purpose of the tribulation period is to bring Israel to salvation and to bring wrath, punishment, vengeance, judgement upon the world for its sin.
We, as believers have been brought to salvation and received the judgement and punishment due to us. Our Lord paid the price and gave the resulting salvation to us as a free gift.
On the cross, in the agony of suffering for us and payment of the price for all our rebellion, our Lord said “IT IS FINISHED.” That meant the payment for all sin was finished and completed by the cross. The only condition is that it must be believed and received, through the new-birth.
If you say the church now has to pay again for our sin by the events of the tribulation, you are saying, His work is NOT FINISHED. You are the deceived liar. How dare you tell our Lord His work on the cross was incomplete!!
I hope you also see why there will be such great regret, sorrow, sadness, gnashing of teeth, weeping and wailing by the masses during the tribulation.
Imagine the shock of discovering (too late) that all these horror judgements are due because of sin, evil and wickedness. But that someone had came along and fully paid the price for them all, so that they could go free. And they rejected Him. Now they must pay up!
Imagine the shock of having to pay for something that was already paid for, but you rejected it, and now you can’t pay because you are full of the disease that you want to be free from. You can’t pay for sin with sin! You can only pay for sin if you have no sin!
Amazing insights into the people of the tribulation:
The verses I’m going to use below are most interesting, but few people have any idea what is fully contained in the messages.
●Note in these verses below, that they all occur in the tribulation period. ●Note that they deal exclusively with the Jews and not the church! ●Understand that the great commission given to the church has been taken over by Jews in these tribulation verses. ●The conclusion must be that the church is not here during the tribulation and God is completing His initial call to the Jews given in the days of Abraham.
Zechariah 8:22-23 “Many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord. In those days, ten men of every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, ‘Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.”
Isaiah 49:6 “I also will give you (Israel) as a light to the Gentles, that you should be My salvation to the ends of the earth.” (Context from surrounding verses is during the tribulation.)
Isaiah 55:5 “Surely you shall call a nation you do not know, and nations who do not know you shall run to you (Israel,) because of the Lord your God, and the Holy One of Israel; for He has glorified you.” (Context is in the tribulation.)
Isaiah 60:2-3 “Behold the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you (Jews), and His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.”
There are so many other verses like these. In terms of correct Bible hermeneutics, interpretation and application, you can only say that the Jews are the primary focus in the tribulation.
►We have now seen that the tribulation is to bring judgement and punishment on the sinful world. We’ve seen that the Jews do the work that the church should be doing and we’ve seen that the church is mysteriously absent during the tribulation. Where is the church?
So, why is the church not fulfilling her role as evangelists and mission workers in the tribulation? Consider the following:
Ambassadors of Messiah:
In a few passages, the Bible refers to true born-again believers as “ambassadors for Messiah” (2 Corinthians 5:20). The word “ambassador” means a non-permanent envoy or messenger.
The ambassador to a foreign nation was historically called home first before a declared war would start.
Isn’t that an amazing insight? Even today, when a nation goes to war with another, the ambassadors deliver the judgment and are then recalled. If we are the Lord’s ambassadors to this world, and the war of the entire tribulation period is coming soon, where would we be recalled to?
If we are “aliens and exiles” (1 Peter 2:11) in this world, temporary, non-permanent envoys, our home “nation” is heaven! That means a pre-tribulation rapture!
We are to be faithful ambassadors of a lot more than salvation only. We must deliver the news of the coming judgement. We must represent and describe our eternal home country as well. It is a powerful tool of evangelism.
If the future universe, our home, is pure, holy, sinless and righteous, that is what we must present to Satan’s world.
Please understand that the course of the world (Ephesians 2:2) is constantly moving further away from God, while the absolutes of God’s word have not and are not changing to accommodate the world.
Quite an insight:
2 Thessalonians 2:1-7 “Concerning the coming of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah and our gathering together to Him, we ask you not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit, or by word or by letter as if from us that the Day of the Messiah has come.. Let no one deceive you by any means, for that Day (tribulation period) will not come unless the falling away (departure) comes first and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition...and now you know what is restraining, that he might be revealed in his own time...He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.”
I’ve highlighted the “departure”. The original word used has the definite article in front of it, meaning that it is wrongly interpreted as a general “falling away” of the church. The correct word (and it is in Strong’s), is “the departure” of the church.
Do you see how one single word can change an entire meaning?
The character of the whole world changes in a flash at the rapture. It’s not simply because of the rapture, but because the antichrist steps unrestrained, onto the world stage then. The dispensation changes immediately at that point.
As we have seen, the purpose of the tribulation is to bring judgement and punishment on the world. It is to bring Israel to salvation and restoration. The church is already saved and made holy and righteous.
Zechariah 8:13 “It will come to pass that just as you were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you, and you shall be a blessing.”
Romans 11:15 “If their (Jews) being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be, but life from the dead.”
Isaiah 49:22-23 “Thus says the Lord God: Behold I will lift My hand in an oath to the nations (Gentiles), and set up My standard for the peoples; they shall bring your sons in their arms and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders. Kings shall be your foster fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers; they shall bow down to you with their faces to the earth, and lick up the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am the Lord, for they shall not be ashamed who wait for Me.”
Why in the tribulation do the Jews preach to the Gentiles? Why is there such a powerful consistent theme of the Jews blessing the world? That is the church’s job!
Here we see a job which was given to the church being performed in the tribulation by the Jews. This is the blessing of God going to the nations.
Again it begs the same logical question. Where is the church? – Have a guess!
Isaiah 13:6-13 “Wail for the day of the Lord is at hand! It will come as destruction from the Almighty...every man’s heart will melt, and they will be afraid. Pangs and sorrow will take hold of them; they will be in pain as a woman in childbirth. They will be amazed at one another; their faces will be like flames. Behold, the day of the Lord comes, cruel with both wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate; and He will destroy its sinners from it...I will punish the world for its evil; I will halt the arrogance of the proud...Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth will move out of its place, in the wrath of the Lord.”
The single greatest reason for the tribulation period is spiritual. It is because the world will not accept the only legitimate payment for sin – all sin, including the hidden sin-nature born of Adam, flowing in all unbelievers.
It is only the shed-blood and sacrifice of the cross that is the full, once-off payment.
If we were in any part of the tribulation, we would be partaking of the punishment and judgement for sin upon the Messiah-rejecting world. We would be twice judged for sin. This would also mean that the work of the cross was insufficient and unfinished in dealing with our sin.
The cross or the tribulation:
Repentance for salvation is a one-time event. The new birth is a one-time event. You don’t get born again, again and again each time you sin. If you have rightly divided between body, spirit and soul and applied the right verses, to the right areas of your life, you will see and know this.
On-going repentance is in the area of the soul, not spirit. It can be likened to humility, fear of the Lord, sorrow for sin, straightening out your life and the like. For the true believer the power of sin has been removed, but we still need to deal with its lingering effects and invasions into our minds.
The world’s sin, evil and wickedness is heading for a confrontational end under the wrath, judgement and punishment of God.
The world has a choice. It does not have to go that way. It can choose the judgement poured out upon our Lord and Saviour as a substitute, at the cross.
We do not pay twice for our sins! It’s the way of the cross or the way of the wrath of God!
At the Great White Throne Judgement, we see the unsaved trying to be saved based on their works. “Books were opened. Their names were not found in the Lamb’s book of life.”
Now, their own personal book of all their works is opened, because they have chosen salvation based on their works. This is the horrifying tragedy of most of the world, including its great people. They really do think that if there is a God He would save them because they’re good people.
The big mistake they have all made is believing that they can pay for sin with sin. They didn’t know that the required passing grade is 100% and they are now bankrupt.
Only our Lord lived a sinless life. Only He could pay fully for sin, and He gives it to us at the new-birth...for free!
Unfortunately those who choose the tribulation method of payment for sin will still not make it. What a shock to have to pay with the world for all its sin and then have to stand before the Lord to personally pay for all their own sin again and still end in hell.
Talk about failure!
I know I’ve laboured this point a fair bit, but how many unsaved people do you know that think they’re okay?
The nature of the world:
I was looking for a verse the other day. So I was going through thousands of my hand written and categorised notes as I often do. One old yellowed page of notes that I wrote in about 1980 jumped out at me. So here is a summarised view of just what it was that jumped out:
1 John 2:15-16 (Amp) “Do not love or cherish the world or the things of the world, if anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh (craving for sensual gratification) and the lust of the eyes (greedy longings of the mind) and the pride of life (assurance of one’s own resources or the stability of earthly things) – these do not come from the Father, but from the world itself.”
The world has a hidden god. If the veil were lifted, people would be shocked! The world is ruled by Satan, hosts of demons and evil spiritual forces, masquerading as good angels of light. Here are a few of the many Bible descriptions of the world:
●All of the works of the world are evil (John 7:7). ●The entire world, not just bits of it, “lies under the power of the evil one.” (1 John 5:19) ●This evil beast is the one who “deceives the whole world” (Revelation 12:9). ●The kingdom of God is not of this world. (John 18:36). ●It is impossible for the world to receive the truth (John 14:17). ●The world is on course, heading for destruction. (Ephesians 2:2) ●The world’s wisdom is the essence of foolishness. (1 Corinthians 3:19). ●The world blinds the minds of the unbeliever. (2Corinthians 4:4). ●The world has a multitude of variable values contained in its many mixed voices. (1Corinthians 14:10)
The answer to the world:
●We are to be crucified to the world. (Galatians 2:20) ●Set you mind above the world (Colossians 3:2). ●As our Lord is now, so are we in this world – way above it! (1 John 4:17). ●The kingdoms of the world will become the kingdoms of our God after judgement upon it. (Revelation 11:15). ●We are not conformed to the world and its ways. (Romans 12:8). ●We are aliens and exiles in this world – not part of it! (2 Peter 2:11). ●We are in this world for now, but not of it. (John 17:14) ●We are to hate our lives in the world. (John 12:25).
I took this picture at a waterhole at the magnificent, enormous, Etosha Game Reserve, Namibia. Etosha is 22,200 sq km, while the Kruger Park is 19,000 sq km.
Shalom and grow in His Grace!
