|This ministry has a distinct kingdom, Messianic vision, identifying with God’s call and plan for the Jewish people and the church. My position is pre-trib! Personally: I was saved in 1976 while working as a war correspondent, journalist, photographer, artist and environmentalist. My calling is to share these great end-time dramas, to stand as a watchman and above all, to glorify my God.|

Shabbat (Sabbath) begins on Fridays at 6pm and ends on Saturdays at 6pm. The purpose is to help the church and Israel become reconciled in Messiah and to identify the rift, and the needed restoration. There is much in the church that needs to change before it can be fully reconciled with the Jew. Likewise, changes in Jewish thinking are also needed.
Edition 366: May 31th 2017.
The effects of the rapture:
The effects of the rapture:
This edition is for all true believers, but also for the scoffer, sceptic, sneerer, cynic, heretic, doubter, denouncer, atheist, agnostic, apostate and average garden variety unbeliever. We can add to the list, pagan Christmas and Easter celebrator, idolater and religious modern free-thinker.
Have you all got a big surprise coming!
What is the rapture?
Plain and simply, the rapture is the instant metamorphosis and translation of true born-again Christians, in a blinding flash to meet our Lord. It is the completion of our salvation as seen in the glorification of the body, incorporating the dead and living in Messiah.
The rapture decisively ends the church age or dispensation, suddenly, and sees the immediate beginning of the next dispensation, the seventieth week of Daniel, also called the time of Jacob’s trouble, or the tribulation period.
Who goes in the rapture?
All those truly born-again of the Spirit of God, through the work of the cross of Calvary and the shed blood of Messiah will be taken. There is a widely held belief (and controversy) that this is narrowed down to only believers who are in fellowship with our Lord at the time.
I’m not getting into that debate, except to say – why chance it? Live right with our Lord now!
Jews who are saved through the new-birth now are part of the church and will be raptured.
But here is the big thing: Many who think they are saved are not, which can be seen in their fruits. At the end of the day, few will be saved in comparison to population numbers. This will still be a large amount of people. Again, don’t chance it – make sure of your salvation!
If you are not sure of your salvation, please read the section under the button “Salvation.”
Those who are not saved will have an opportunity to be “saved” and become part of the group known as tribulation saints, but they will not be part of the church as such, or the rapture.
Those who think they are saved and are not:
Beware; the great enemy of the church is the false church, the harlot church – the bride of antichrist. This is a false, cross-less church full of Babylonian idolatry and paganism. (Revelation 17:1-6)
All religion, including Christianity without the cross is apostate, false and counterfeit. It is all based on law and works as opposed to faith and grace. It all has a fateful satanic future.
The only thing preventing Islam, Judaism and apostate Christianity from coming together into a new-world, one-world religion is the cross of Calvary. Remove it and “bang,” they will all come together into a great monster, well received and worshiped by the world, – and end in hell!
In the last number of years there has been a systematic denial of the major doctrines of truth in the Bible, by much of the modern church. This new church has re-characterised itself completely! The consequences are Satan, marching unrestricted and unrestrained into those churches, well camouflaged.
Much of the modern church has changed from a living body into a dead religion.
The tribulation period will come upon the whole world suddenly, and a huge amount of professing Christians will be left to go through this time of unprecedented disaster.
The truly saved will be delivered.
This amazing word “deliver” in the verse below, is not the usual word used. It has a glorious meaning indeed!
►1 Thessalonians 1:10 “He delivers us from the wrath to come”.
In the original, “the wrath” has the definite article in front of it, meaning a specific time period. This is a clear reference to the tribulation period. The word “delivers” used here is similar to the rapture word – “harpazo”, meaning to snatch away by force.
This Greek word “deliver,” is Strong’s G 4506, “Rhyomai” meaning: “To rush to draw close to oneself in rescue.”
Isn’t that just incredible – what insight we get into God’s word when we look below the surface!
So, our Lord will very soon rush to rescue us, drawing us near to Himself in the rapture, just before the tribulation begins.
Major effects of the rapture:
The first and perhaps foremost effect of the rapture on the world will be disbelief and then shock. Fear, panic, sorrow and regret will follow. Anger and jealousy will also result.
The world will suddenly realise that God has ignored their good works. The emotion of hatred for God will encompass many as they realise that God has treated them as strangers and left them behind.
People will suddenly realise that the Bible is true. People will suddenly believe in Noah’s Ark!
People will know, but forget quickly that they are the reason for God’s soon coming judgement. As in the days of Noah, God, in His mercy gave the world 120 years to repent. He warned them for over a century and they ignored all the warnings!
Today many have been warning the world, over and over again as well.
The rapture is the great and powerful demonstration of God the supreme judge. It will show and prove that God distinguishes clearly between the saved and the unsaved.
The rapture will be the biggest proof ever that God judges the unredeemed in their sin! If you, like the atheists, and the counterfeit churches don’t like the idea that God judges sin, then you must be happy in your world of sin, evil, wickedness, terror, cruelty, murder, theft, hatred. You must shut up and stop complaining.
The soon-coming annihilation of all sin and evil is good – very good.
Of course, what you can do is just deny God, and His word, which identifies sin. Then you can rename it or deny sin. The only problem with that is you can’t do it because all sin still has a terrible undeniable stench to it!
You can’t come against God’s word! You will only be coming against yourself and injuring yourself beyond measure, eternally and irreversibly!
All the so-called Christian supporters of homosexuality and other Bible-defined sins, you will be going through the tribulation, because that may be proof you are not saved. I’m not talking about people who fall into sin and come out through repentance. I’m talking about those who actually support the sin, contrary to God’s word.
By the way, if you support homosexuality, I suggest you read Romans chapter one!
Fear and confusion:
Fear and panic amongst the left-behind will be a worldwide psychological reaction to the rapture. Confusion will reign supreme as many search everywhere for answers. Satan is the “god of confusion”!
Fear behaves irrationally. The tribulation period will be a time of chaos and irrationality!
Many people, especially the religious, will begin to cry out to God and try to bargain with Him. They will say: “But God, I am basically good, look at all the good I’ve done, God.” “My church taught me to be good, and I was.”
Many will turn on their left-behind church leaders, pastors, bishops, and ministers with a vengeance – and rightly so! They taught them to be good, but not how to be truly born-again.
Many will turn on the mass-media with a vengeance for their removal of God from society and sanctioning of sin and evil!
Many others will begin a fervent search for any records and all material on the rapture that born-again believers had given them in the past. They will want to know why they have been left-behind. They will suddenly try to make right with God, but it will all be too late.
As the fear, panic and confusion dissipates, many, perhaps the majority of people in the world, will begin to accept it, and will believe that everything will be okay and peace will abound in the world. That will be an idea soon shocked to death!
My friends, sorrow, can have good results, but it can also confirm your ride to hell.
2 Corinthians 7:10 “Godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted, but the sorrow of the world produces death.”
Many will never believe:
The tragedy is that many people will never believe no matter what. Even if they see great signs and wonders that are real and true, they won’t believe.
Luke 16:26-31 “There is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot...And he said, ‘No father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will not repent. If they did not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’”
Many will be fooled by lying signs and wonders and miracles. The devil himself will be producing plenty of them and some spectacular ones too.
Many people in the tribulation will turn against the living God with hatred and blasphemy. In one sense they are acknowledging God! How insanely stupid can you be to curse the living God? How insanely stupid can you be to set yourself up as His judge, when He is judging you and the world? (Revelation 16:11, 13:6)
The tribulation period is coming suddenly upon the world – ready or not!
Isaiah 47:11 “...Desolation shall fall upon you suddenly, which you shall not know.”
Sudden: Strong’s H 6597, “Pithown” meaning: In an instant, straightaway, surprisingly, shockingly.
The effects of the rapture on the Jews:
Today there’s a growing number of Jews who are being saved, but the majority are still not. Their salvation en-masse lies ahead, in the deep darkness of the tribulation period.
The reason for this is not because God has chosen for them to go through the tribulation, but because God knows, in His foreknowledge that they will only turn to Him and recognise their Jewish Messiah, Yeshua then.
Isaiah 60:2-3 “Behold darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you (the Jews) and His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light and kings to the brightness of your rising.”
Isaiah 9:2 “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined.”
Isaiah 62:12 “They shall call them, (the Jews) the Holy People, the redeemed of the Lord, and you shall be called “Sought Out, a City Not Forsaken.”
The deeper the darkness – the brighter a light shines. “Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament forever and ever”. (Daniel 12:3)
This wonderful verse below is speaking of the “light” of Bible prophecy, but it applies perfectly to us as believers as well.
2 Peter 1:19 “We have the prophetic word made more sure, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.”
A surprising, greatly overlooked proof of a pre-tribulation rapture is seen in the numerous verses speaking prophetically of the mission of the Jews in the tribulation period. They are the ones who deliver the message of salvation to the Gentile world at that time.
They, and not the church, whose job this was, are now exclusively, God’s evangelists. So where is the church? You guessed right – in heaven.
So many times, people who have not been diligent in their Bible study, but diligent in traditional church attendance, come to a place of really wanting to move forward with our Lord. They get suddenly “born” into this fullness of the word of God.
They now see with new eyes, and they see the Zionist, Hebraic expression of the full truth.
They wonder how there could be so much in the Bible and in the heart of God about the glorious future of the Jews. They often can’t believe just how much they have been hoodwinked by their church!
Many times people in this “new” discovery are like new-born babes with a new toy. It’s like a new-birth all over again!
The torment and terror of the tribulation period will be in the physical and natural realms as the earth convulses and shakes. It will be in the socio-political realms as devils and demons take over. It will be in the spiritual realms and will result in the worst psychological deterioration of mankind known to man.
People will be given to hopelessness, fear and uncertainty. Many will try to commit suicide, but “death will flee from them.” (Revelation 9:6)
Terror will be experienced by those who believed they were Christians, but only professed belief, instead of being born-again into God’s family.
What a terrible tragedy to realise that you have been led astray, deceived and deluded all your life by the mass-media and its god – Satan, and wolves in the pulpit influenced by that same evil god.
What is salvation, what is your life?
Imagine some drunken bum in the gutter, frustrated with life, at last coming into salvation by the new-birth. He gets saved right there in the gutter. As he staggers to stand up, he falls over and gets run over by a bus. Would he be saved and go in the rapture as one of the “dead in Messiah?”
Yes he would. He will receive no rewards for the things he did as a believer, because he was only a believer for five minutes, but at the point of salvation, he was born a new creation spiritually. He became 100% perfect in spirit at that time. His mind and body did not change at the point of salvation, but will on the completion of his salvation at the rapture.
Now consider that on the other side of the road watching our drunken friend getting run over, stands a Christian-seminary lecturer, well educated, and well dressed, well-spoken, well respected, and highly intellectual. He is a professing Christian but not born-again.
He is full of self will, worldly ways and hidden sin, like all of them. He crosses the road in the opposite direction, so as not to get involved. But he trips and gets run over by a bus coming the other way.
Would he go in the rapture of the dead in Messiah? No sir – he won’t. He will go to the great supper of the dead at the end of the tribulation where he himself will be “vulture food.” (Revelation 19:17-18) His end will be hell.
I wonder what he would think if he could see our saved gutter-bum in heaven?
You see, the academic intellectual believes he is good and cleaver and if there is a God, He will smile down on him, while scorning, as he casts the drunken bum into hell. That’s what you call a giant eternal Oops!
Have you sat down and considered and weighed up what your life actually is and what it means? Have you used the available power of God through the cross of Calvary to radically transform every area of your life?
My friends, in terms of time, eternity is pretty long and yet what we do in this brief, passing “vapour” determines not only our salvation, but our eternal reward-state and position in our Lord’s kingdom. (James 4:14, 1 Corinthians 3:12)
But there is hope:
Those left behind at the rapture will experience the worst time of their lives and the worst time of the world, but there is hope. They will still have a chance to become believers in our Lord and become part of the great company of “tribulation saints.”
Many of these will be killed in the tribulation. In fact, one of the effects of the rapture will be hatred for God and His people in the tribulation, by some.
I think that people will welcome death in that time!
This group will consist of Jews and Gentiles, but will not become part of the church itself. They will be saved to go into the Millennium, to serve God’s purposes there and then.
They will get longevity in perfect health for the Millennium, while the church will have already received perfect, glorious, resurrection bodies at the rapture.
Those who miss the rapture still have a chance at going into the Millennium and missing hell.
At the very end of the Millennium there will be a grand reuniting of all things in God, and the final manifestation of all that hell is.
So, if you miss the rapture, don’t get angry with God – turn to Him. We may all still spend eternity together.
Rejection of our Lord in the tribulation period seals your fate forever and makes you a child, born of God for His purpose, but given over to the devil for eternity by none other than yourself.
Every single human being will be affected in the tribulation period. The major effects of the tribulation will be the psychological effects of the dramatic realisation that God, His word and His Spirit are all right and they were all wrong.
The effects will be shattering as people are suddenly confronted with their sin and evil, and the judgement of God upon it all. People will suddenly know that holiness God’s way, through the cross, was the only way to go and they chose to go their own way.
In a certain sense, the tribulation period is the love of God in action. It rids the world of sin and evil.
But, you don’t need to remain an enemy of God, trapped in your fallen ways through the unredeemed blood of Adam in your veins. You can choose the glorious salvation of our Lord offered free right now through the pure blood of Messiah shed for you.

I took these pictures some time ago in the wilds of South Africa. The Baobab tree is called “The communion tree” because many years ago Cecil Rhodes and his army had communion here on their way to make war. The White Rhino is under siege with a horror war underway against it, by savage, psychopathic hunters and poachers.
Shalom and grow in His Grace!
