|This website comprises the Abrahamic Expression of faith, which goes to the Jew and the Gentile, with a Messianic slant. I affirm the fullness of biblical truth, embracing the cross of Calvary. I reject Babylonian paganism in the church and the legalistic excesses of the Messianic Movement. This ministry has a distinct kingdom vision, identifying with God’s call and plan for the Jewish people. My position is pre-trib! Personally: I was saved in 1976 while working as a war correspondent, journalist, photographer, artist and environmentalist. My interest in Bible prophecy was instant. My calling came soon afterwards. It is to share this great drama, to stand watching and to glorify my God.|

●Gaza is again erupting in conflict with Israel. More than 370 rockets were fired from Gaza into Israel. Most were intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome defence system, but some got through. The IDF has just hit 150 terror targets in Gaza. A ceasefire of sorts has just been reached, but generally don't last!
Shabbat (Sabbath) begins on Fridays at 6pm and ends on Saturdays at 6pm. The purpose is to help the church and Israel become reconciled in Messiah and to identify the rift, and the needed restoration. There is much in the church that needs to change before it can be fully reconciled with the Jew. Likewise, changes in Jewish thinking are also needed.

Why rapture dates fail?
When the rapture trumpet is silent, you have no right to speak for God, in this regard. What you are hearing is the sound of silence. Your words are your own presumptions.
There have been numerous famous, failed rapture dates, especially of late. They are nothing new. There are some big, glaring consistencies in the reasons for the failures. Take note of them.
It is no small issue. As I’ve said numerous times, failed rapture dates discourage many people, especially new believers. It makes a mockery of Bible prophecy, God’s word and the kingdom of God. It ultimately gives the devil fire-power.
We are not forbidden from looking and watching for all these end-time things including the rapture. We are to watch and pray about it all and, most importantly, we are to watch for wrong dates and the reasons why. That can also teach us plenty.
As regular readers would be aware, I distanced myself from all the recent rapture date sets and surrounding issues, especially everything to do with the Revelation 12 sign – the greatest deception to strike the church in recent times.
Before we go any further, let me say without any ambiguity, that I believe in the very soon coming pre-tribulation rapture of the church. I will continue to look, watch, seek and pray about it all. I will keep you informed, but I will not for one second, get on the disaster-train that many are still on!
Psalm 27:14 “Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and He will strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord.”
So, what’s the big reason for the failures?
Why have all the rapture dates failed?
There is one big overriding reason: God was not in them! If He was, it would have happened. Many people have for so many years beaten the rapture-drum and blown the rapture-trumpet, but God was not in it. It was all meaningless noise.
That’s the reason so many got so angry when their rapture date failed on September 23rd. I know all about it. I was on the receiving end of the fury of some who were so angry with me because I refused their date and then more dates.
In fact, when I publically distanced myself from all the recent rapture teachers and their reasons for it, the statistics on this website plunged. They are only now recovering. Many reading these words, still can’t believe how badly they were hoodwinked by the sounds of silence!
They simply could not believe and accept that God ignored their date. He was not in it!
God is absolutely faithful to His word, but not to man’s presumptions.
The Holy Spirit will show you things to come. (John 16:13) A failed rapture date means one absolutely sure thing: There was no Spirit of God in it at all!
Because the date setters had no godly authority, to set dates, they had to assert their own authority with arrogant, presumptuousness, to affirm their self-importance.
Be careful of people who ridicule you as a method of intimidation to get you to follow them. It often works, especially with young believers, but God is never in it!
More reasons for failed rapture dates:
Failed rapture dates come from people with no fear of the Lord. “It’s a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Lord.” (Hebrews 10:31) It’s a terrifying thing to fall into His hands with no fear of Him!
***2 Corinthians 5:11 “Since we know what it means to fear the Lord, we persuade men.”
There are far too many loose cannons out there, presuming to speak for God, some with a YouTube ministry, who have no fear of the Lord in them. Read that verse above again and note the ministry requirement to evangelise!
James 3:1 “Let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we will be judged more strictly.”
Too many rapture date setters are sensation seekers, looking for self-affirmation and self importance. Many are into it purely out of pride. ●“God told me”, ●“I had a dream.” ●“It’s 100% for sure,” was the repeated claim! – All manipulative hogwash!
They were all the deceived! Then you saw them pitifully grasping at straws, trying to save face, rather the doing the right thing – repenting.
After all the Revelation 12 drama, I saw one single individual teacher / author repent! Only one! To him I say, you are a real star – our Lord is going to use you in the future!
It’s not about proving yourself right and others wrong. It’s about being right with God and having some concern for multitudes in the valley of decision. Most rapture date setters care nothing at all about leading the masses astray – nothing! All they care about is the attention they get.
As always, there are some notable exceptions.
The harm of failed rapture dates:
Failed rapture dates desensitise you to the real thing. It’s like the one crying wolf. Right now, many people need to be re-sensitised to the soon-coming rapture.
Witnessing the gospel to the unsaved mostly involves explaining things, not making excuses for all the failed rapture teachers.
I received a number of emails from people who were long standing readers, who then rejected me because I rejected their rapture position. They were totally confused, dejected, cast down and ready to give up, after the big failure. Of course I did help them as best I could.
These failed rapture teachers cast doubt on God’s truth. They are particularly harmful to struggling or young Christians. You can say as many have done, “They shouldn’t have been putting so much trust in us.” You fool!
I have no problem at all with people making money out of selling Christian products, but I wonder how many made a lot of money out of failure!
The positive side of it all is it teaches a powerful lesson – first hand!
And it also gives us a fresh start, so to speak, as we put the past behind us and go refreshed, in repentance, into all the good things ahead.
“No man knows the time”...Oh yes?
The most popular well-known verse quoted by the saved and unsaved is “No man knows the time.” Yet it is totally wrongly applied. The Bible says no such thing! (Matthew 24:36)
All you have to do is read it and you will see...which I’m not going to do for you!
The verses preceding the “no man knows” verse in Matthew 24:36 are all speaking of the tribulation period. In fact there is a heading just before this verse saying “The Great Tribulation.” The verses afterwards also speak of the tribulation period.
So why would a church age, rapture verse be right in the middle? That is exegetically wrong. They must also be talking of the tribulation!
But here is the big thing: The verse in Matthew 24:36 says “Of this day and hour knows no man...” It is speaking of the horrific conditions of the tribulation period that no one knows!
The term “Of this day and hour” is also a reference or idiom to a tribulation event at Rosh Hashanah!
Sorry, you can’t use it correctly to say that no one knows the time of the rapture!
The soon coming rapture:
I have dealt with this in previous editions, but it is very important, so here goes again:
In dealing with the rapture: “Be not deceived” says Paul. So there is then apparently a deception in this whole issue!
One of my early spiritual fathers, Derek Prince, used to say: “Whenever the Bible says, “be not deceived,” it’s because God’s people are deceived on that very thing!
2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 “Concerning the coming of our Lord, Yeshua the Messiah and our gathering together to Him we ask you not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled in spirit or by word or by letter as if from us, as though the day of Messiah has come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition.”
The above passage needs some exposition: “The Day of Messiah (Christ) referred to here is not the final day of the tribulation period. Some other verses do refer to the day of the Lord as the final day of the tribulation.
Others speak of the “day” as the entire church age. Most verses however, refer to that “day” as the full seven year tribulation. In fact there is one verse in Revelation 3:10, which refers to the whole tribulation as “the hour that will come upon the whole world.”
The term “falling away” (above), is also called the great apostasy in some translations. The original word is “apostasia.” It is used as a departure from the faith in some translations and as a departure from the law in others. But when it has the definite article in front of it, as it does here, it does not mean departure from the faith, but the departure – the rapture.
By the way, the greatest, monumental departure from the faith has already occurred. It was the Catholic created dark ages (spiritually).
So if we write the verse out correctly it says: “Don’t be deceived, for the tribulation period will not begin unless the rapture takes place first and the antichrist is revealed.
That makes perfect sense, and is consistent with other verses and is exegetically correct.
I hope you see how important this is! It means that the rapture and tribulation-start will occur before, or as the antichrist is revealed.
Now, here’s the big issue: According to all the verses relating to the coming of the antichrist, put together, we see that he will arrive making a peace covenant of sorts with Israel and the many for seven years. (This is most probably between Israel the UN or the Palestinians, or some world body.)
No big peace summit in history just happened. They were all planned months ahead of time. The Oslo accord for example, which some believed was this antichrist peace treaty, was planned and announced many months before.
Some say that this coming peace treaty is not a peace treaty because some verses don’t say so. Well, other verses do, so throw that out. Some say that this will be a renewal of an existing peace treaty. That’s rubbish. There was never a seven-year peace treaty! So, throw that out.
My point is simple, very simple: We will see this peace treaty / covenant coming about well ahead of time. It will be all over the news in the run up to the event. All parties will have been prepped, dates set and ready to roll, perhaps months before.
If you have been taking note of prophetic related news items that I have posted here on this website, you would have seen that we already have a significant peace treaty planed for 2018 – no date has been set yet.
If there is no sight of a coming peace covenant – forget about the rapture and tribulation start...it won’t happen until that happens – “be not deceived”! This is one of the big signs to watch for. (In next week’s edition, Lord willing, I’ll share with you another major sign to watch for.)
Avoid and steer clear of the unrepentant failed rapture date setters. They have been encouraging one another, but not in repentance for the damage they have done to the body of Messiah. They have discredited themselves.
Jeremiah 23:16 “Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophecy to you and make you worthless; they speak a vision of their own heart, not from the mouth of the Lord.”
Deuteronomy 18:20 “The prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.”
You may be shocked to know that some, who you may have thought were trustworthy, are now removing Israel from their presentations. I warned of this a number of times.
Tragically, the Bible warns of a flood of false teachers presenting bigger and worse deceptions in time to come. It will be a mine-field for those who are not secure in the Lord.
A real dream or visitation or audible word from God will shatter and slay you. It will put the fear of God in you. You will see it in that broken individual!
Steer clear of the many Jezebel’s in the church with a “ministry.”
Isaiah 9:15-16 “The prophet who teaches lies, he is the tail, for the leaders of this people cause them to err, and those who are led by them are destroyed.”
The true prophet / watchman / biblical analyst:
Ezekiel 33:33 “When this comes to pass – surely it will come – then they will know that a prophet has been among them.”
Our Lord rebuked the Jews for not knowing the time of their visitation and commanded the early church to watch for and know the signs!
The watchers must know what to watch for, where and when. There will be numerous signs of the coming tribulation period and therefore the pre-tribulation rapture.
I give you my word that I will watch the church. I will watch Israel, Jerusalem and the Jews. I will watch social, economic and political issues. I will watch moral issues, and the media. I will watch false prophecies, false teachers, and deceivers. I will watch them all through the eyes of God’s word, in His Spirit. (In other words, not in my own efforts or ideas.)
By the way, do you know what the opposite of the rapture is? It is terrible regret!
Sometimes these things (failed dates and prophecies) can be a test from the Lord as well. In these days.
Ezekiel 7:14 “They have blown the trumpet and made everyone ready, but no one goes out, for My wrath is on all their multitude.”
Deuteronomy 13:1-3 “If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams and he gives you a sign and wonder and it comes to pass, leading you after other gods, which you have not known, you shall not listen to that prophet or dreamer, for the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul.”
1 Thessalonians 5:4-6 “You brethren are not in darkness that this Day should overtake you as a thief...Therefore let us not sleep as the others do, but let us watch and be sober.”
Not watching is equated to not knowing the time of visitation. (Luke 19:44)
Revelation 3:3 (To the dead church – Sardis): “Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.”
When is the rapture?
My friends, it is soon. But we don’t have all the signs in place yet (Don’t miss next week’s edition!) God is not speaking or confirming anything on the rapture just yet.
In the past God always warned ahead of big judgements. I believe He will do so again. We will see the pieces begin to fall into place. We will see the signs – the correct signs and as the day approaches, our Lord will reveal more to those whom He chooses to.
We will see no signs at all for the rapture of the church itself, but we will see signs for Israel and signs of the tribulation period. Obviously, a pre-tribulation rapture means we simply have to make the application.
I’m sticking my neck out and saying, I believe it may well be this Hebrew year 5778 ending in September 2018. That is not the word of God, so don’t put undue trust on it yet. Just keep it in your head, and we will see as we move forward. God will confirm things in His time, if He wills.
Otherwise we wait - mutter, mutter!
The voice of the Lord:
If all the failed rapture dates through the church age were because God was not in them and He was silent. It means the answer is to know and hear the voice of the Lord.
This is a huge, glorious subject, but briefly, God speaks through His word correctly used and applied. God never speaks through the miss-use of His word. He does not always speak! Sometimes we need to wait on Him.
We need to cultivate, over time, the conditions in our lives to hear His voice. We need to learn to hear! We need to learn how He speaks and when He speaks and when He is silent. We need to learn how to hear the sounds of silence.
It takes a long time of desperate pursuit of our Lord in the fear of Him to know and hear His voice.
Occasionally, God can and does speak in unusual ways, unexpectedly – that’s His prerogative. That “still small voice” in our hearts will always be there, but many times we don’t hear it because we are not still, and it is drowned out with noise.
John18:37 "Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice."
Psalm 96:11-13 “Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar and all its fullness; let the field be joyful and all that is in it. The trees of the woods will rejoice before the coming of the Lord, for He is coming to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness and the peoples with His truth.”
We are on the verge of great developments prophetically. We are about to see major developments. Don’t get discouraged now! Don’t you dare throw in the towel because of another rapture date failure!
Be encouraged, stand firm in endurance. A spectacular future lies ahead for you.
This is a composite of a number of pictures I took of trees in Botswana with an observant lion!
Shalom and grow in His Grace!
