Shabbat (Sabbath) begins on Fridays at 6pm and ends on Saturdays at 6pm. The purpose is to help the church and Israel become reconciled in Messiah and to identify the rift, and the needed restoration. There is much in the church that needs to change before it can be fully reconciled with the Jew. Likewise, changes in Jewish thinking are also needed.

Shabbat Shalom to all!
The tree-huggers delight:
The Bible uses plants, trees, colours, animals, birds, numbers and more to describe people and nations. It is the subliminal symbols that are of great significance and meaning, especially in relation to Israel.
Did you realise that the entire course of Israel’s history is plotted in the trees? There is much more to these symbols and metaphors - for another time.
Here are some amazing messages blowing in the wind, relating to Israel.
►The Olive tree: (Romans 11)
These trees have very deep, well established roots. They are sometimes called eternal trees, because they are so hardy; they live for many thousands of years. An ancient olive tree appears to die, but then miraculously, new shoots appear out of the dead wood continuing its existence.
The olive tree produces a rich olive oil which has numerous uses, but is also a type of the Holy Spirit. Olive oil is required to keep the temple menorah flames burning. This symbolises light. Olive tree leaves are symbols of peace. Remember the dove bringing back an olive branch to the ark after the flood of judgement.
The root of the olive tree is symbolic of God Himself. The root is called, “holy.”
Biblically, there are two olive trees of importance. The natural olive tree, is symbolic of Israel, and the wild olive tree, is symbolic of the church. The wild olive branch was “grafted” into the natural olive tree, thus partaking of the goodness of the root.
The national emblem of Israel includes two olive branches.
An ancient olive tree grove:
►The Fig tree:
The fig tree is symbolic of spiritual fruitfulness after severe pruning or judgement. It relates to Israel in the tribulation period, awakening to spiritual life.
The fig tree is unique in that its blossoms appear before the leaves. It should have fruit appearing before the leaves. This is why our Lord cursed the unfruitful fig tree, causing it to die. The root was not destroyed though, and a new tree full of fruit, is about to appear.
When the disciples asked out Lord what would be the sign of His coming, He listed a number of judgements to fall on the world. But one of these was the sign of the fig tree.
Matthew 24:32-34 “learn the parable of the fig tree: When is branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that the summer is near. So also you when you see all these things, know that it is near, even at the very doors. Assuredly, I say to you, ‘this generation (of Jews) will be no means pass away till all these things are fulfilled.’”
Present day Zionism and the awakening of the Jews, as well as modern anti-Semitism are signs of the fig tree putting forth leaves and about to produce much spiritual fruit.
►The Almond tree:
The almond is the first tree to flower in its season, which at the end of winter. The flower has five petals to it, five being the number of grace. The temple menorah, a symbol of light, has oil cups or containers in the shape of almond flowers.
The Hebrew word for “almond” is “shakeid” which also means to “awake” and “watch”.
The almond is symbolic of Messiah’s resurrection. It speaks of the supernatural power of God as seen in Aaron’s almond branch that budded in one day. (Numbers 17:8)
Jeremiah 1:11-14 “The word of the Lord came to me saying, ‘Jeremiah, what do you see?’ I said, ‘I see the branch of an almond tree.’ Then the Lord said, ‘you have seen well for I am about to perform My word.’ And the word of the Lord came to me a second time, saying, ‘what do you see? And I said, a boiling pot and it is facing away from the north.’ Then the Lord said to me: ‘Out of the north calamity shall break forth on all the inhabitants of the land.’”
The message here is that as the almond (Israel) flowers and buds she will be plunged into the tribulation period.
Jeremiah 31:28 “It shall come to pass that as I have watched over them to pluck up, to break down, to throw down, to destroy and to afflict them, so I will watch over them to build and plant says the Lord. In those days they shall say no more, ‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes...’”
Psalm 80:8-9 “You have brought a vine out of Egypt, You have cast out the nations and planted it. You prepared room for it, and caused it to take deep root and it filled the land.”
This vine, Israel, is described as “the choicest vine.” But it is a vine that also has within it a “winepress.” (Isaiah 5:1-2) The “winepress” speaks of the crushing tribulation to come!
God planted Israel as a “noble vine” of the highest quality, yet it became an alien, degenerate vine. This speaks of Israel's rebellion to Messiah. (Jeremiah 2:21)
As with the olive and the fig tree, the vine will bear its good fruit in its time, which is just around the corner!
►Other trees symbolic of Israel:
Joel 1:12 (Context: Israel is invaded in the tribulation period) “The vine has dried up and the fig tree has withered; and the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree. All the trees of the field have withered. Surely joy has withered away from the sons of men.
But we know that Israel's story does not end in the tribulation. Joy will return.
The Cedar: Symbol of power, royalty and majesty. The Oak: Symbol of strength and stability. The Palm: Symbol of military victory and victory in Messiah. The Pomegranate: Symbol of abundance and joyfulness. The Acacia: Symbol of beauty. The Myrtle: Symbol of God’s favour and blessing.
The grand summary:
Israel is: Deeply rooted in God with an eternal future. Israel contains the light-producing oil of the Spirit of God and soon will be Messiah’s light of the world! Israel will be at peace soon. The church is a “wild” family member of Israel through our joint root in God. Israel will become fully fruitful after pruning. Israel’s ripening fruit is a sign of Messiah’s coming. Israel will bud and come to life supernaturally in a day and then bring the light of salvation to the Gentile world. Israel will go through the winepress of tribulation, be attacked from the north and fall under calamity, because she was the choicest, noble vine and yet gave herself to paganism. (Baal) Finally Israel will fulfil God’s call and plan in power, majesty and strength, abundance, and blessing.
All of this is revealed in the nature of this forest of trees, and the corresponding Bible verses. How can you not be a tree-hugger!
Edition 401: January 23rd 2018
What will give Jews sight?
What will be the big thing that will cause the Jews to awaken to their Messiah? What will be the reason for the veil lifting, blindness departing, and hearts softening?
This is all a very important issue, because it is directly related to the coming rapture of the church, the tribulation period, and the Second Coming.
In looking for the one big reason for the Jews awakening, we need to look at the main reason for their blinding in the first place.
Romans 11:25-26 “I do not desire brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that hardening in part has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And so, all Israel will be saved.”
The word “mystery” is Strong’s G3466 “Myterion.” Meanings: Hidden from the ungodly.
This amazing verse above covers so much in just a few words! When God says that He does not desire that the brethren be ignorant of something, it’s always because they are!
Here He is saying that we should not be ignorant of a “mystery.” This is the same word used to describe the true church, the church age and the kingdom of God.
But this “mystery” (Israel’s hardening) is temporary. It will last until the last Gentile has come in; then salvation goes to the Jews like a flood.
John 12:40 “God has blinded their (Jews) eyes and hardened their hearts, lest they should see with their eyes, and understand with their hearts, lest they should turn and I should heal them.”
Matthew 23:38-39 “See! Your house is left to you – desolate. You shall see Me no more until you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’”
Here we see that God blinded the eyes of the Jews because they in fact, blinded their own eyes first. They hardened their own hearts by rejecting the Messiah.
The Suffering Servant will suffer no more!
The Rabbis are not keen on Isaiah 53! They call it the “forbidden chapter.” Christians say it reveals the “Suffering Servant” succinctly!
Isaiah 53 Records the entire dramatic tragedy of the rejection of the Messiah and His cross by the Jews. Here is a compilation of the main points, I’ve strung together for easy reading:
“He (Messiah) is despised and rejected by men, a Man of sorrows acquainted with grief. And we hid our faces from Him, we did not esteem Him. Surely He has bone our grief’s and carried our sorrows, yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed...God has laid on Him the iniquity of us all...He was led as a Lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its sheerer was silent...He was cut off from the land of the living and they made His grave with the wicked. He bore the sin of many, and made intersession for the transgressors.”
This is all compiled from Isaiah 53, which is in the Old Covenant. And the Jews can’t see the Messiah here!!! There is only one explanation for that, which is a supernatural blinding.
Here are some other prophecies of our Lord from the Old Covenant:
●He will be born of a virgin. (Isaiah7:14) He will be born in Bethlehem. (Micah 5:2) ●He is God (Isaiah 9:6-7, Psalm 2:7) ●His bones will not be broken and His garments will be divided and gambled for. (Psalm 22:17-18) ●He will enter Jerusalem on a young donkey. (Zechariah 9:9). ●He will be pierced. (Zechariah 12:10) ●He will rise from the dead. (Psalm 16:10)
Why the Jews reject Yeshua today.
The central teaching of the Rabbis, filtering through to the Jews at large is contained in this short discourse below:
They say Yeshua could not be Messiah because:
●Yeshua did not fulfil all the Messianic prophecies. ●He did not bring world peace, which they were expecting. ●He did not build the Third Temple in Jerusalem. ●He did not complete the return of Jews to the land. ●He did not unite the world in the knowledge of God and make all humanity one. ●He was not made king over all the world. ●He did not bring King David back to rule Israel. ●They believe their Messiah must be a descendant of King David’s line. ●Yeshua could not be their Messiah because He was born of a virgin and therefore not of David.
Other major stumbling blocks include the belief by Jews that Hitler was Christian and therefore a Christian mass-murderer of Jews. All the popes, particularly in the Middle Ages were vicious mass-murdering anti-Semites, showing mass Christian hatred for the Jews!
Much of the modern church adheres to the terrible, satanic doctrine of replacement theology, which is a detestable abomination to the Jews, and has driven a horror-wedge between that part of the church and the Jews, causing them to reject anything “Christian” including Yeshua.
The traditions and convocations of Babylon, brought into the church by Constantine, re-characterised the church and made it unacceptable to the Jews.
One of the influential factors these days, in Jews coming to salvation in Yeshua comes from Christian Zionists, who in many cases, love the Jews more than own Rabbis do! Jews have a deeply, ingrained caution and resistance to most Christians because of all the hatred and damage the church has done to them.
The answer to their objections:
The answer to all the objections above is really very simple. The Jewish Messiah has come. But He came to set up a kingdom, which at this stage is invisible. It is a spiritual kingdom awaiting the full physical manifestation.
We who are believers are in the same boat. We have been saved through the new-birth, but we await the full manifestation of it in our bodies.
At the Second Coming and through into the Millennium, all these things will manifest, although they have been achieved and done already, in spirit.
Beloved brethren, these are the things that will very soon begin to manifest. We are already seeing the veil lifting partially. Many of the churches of replacement theology and outside the fullness of the Spirit are perhaps the greatest hindrance to the work of God in this regard. Great, exciting times lie right ahead for the true church.
The spectacular Samson, David & Goliath:
Samson was Hebrew Nazirite, which means, “separated and dedicated.” Although he was a bit of wild radical, he is a type of Israel, and is in fact counted as one of the righteous heroes of faith in Hebrews 11:13, with David, Noah, Joseph and others.
Samson was a Hebrew but he broke the covenant vows and married a non-Jew – twice.
Samson’s mother, Manoah was barren and unable to reproduce. One day God appeared to her and promised to give her a son. This son, Samson, would be the one to deliver the Jews from the Philistines (a type of the modern Palestinians). He made a vow with God never to drink wine or reveal the secret of his strength.
He then married Delilah, a Philistine who was tasked by her people to find the hidden secret to Samson’s strength.
●The name “Delilah” means “feeble” and also “night or darkness.”
●The name “Samson” means “sun child” or “child of the sun.” (Strong’s H8123) It means the one who brings light into the darkness. So here we have “darkness” married to “light.” Not on! (John 1:5, John 12:35-36)
Interestingly, as soon as Delilah deceitfully discovered the source of Samson’s power – his long hair, and cut it off, his power was gone. He then had his eyes gouged out by the Philistines, leaving him blind and powerless.
The blind man, Samson sees God one last time and brings the house down!
The big lesson in this story is that God’s plans for Israel will endure. Israel / Samson’s sin of breaking covenant led to blindness. The Philistines / Palestinians want the secret of Israel’s success. Israel is in covenant relationship with God – not the offspring of Esau. (Arabs)
Israel’s ultimate success will be to bring the house down on the Palestinians. They will receive God’s spiritual sight and power too, to complete the final act.
Breaking God’s covenant leads to spiritual blindness. Israel will break covenant and make a new one with the antichrist, causing many of them to serve Satan in their blindness.
It will take seven years (the tribulation period) for the whole “house to be brought down.”
Israel / Samson will finally destroy the Palestinians / Arabs. (Esau.)
Jews will be fooled by the greatest false prophet ever and annul the covenant of peace that exists between God and themselves with a new seven-year covenant made with Satan. That act is one of the main causes of the tribulation period. But at that time our Lord will open the eyes of the repentant, remnant Jews.
There is so much more in the story of Samson relating to end-times and the Jews. But there is also much with profound meaning in the story of David and Goliath.
● “David:” Strong’s H1732 means “beloved.”
● “Goliath:” Strong’s H1540 “Golyath,” Meaning: “Splendour”
He found favour with his world who thought he was “splendid” in his killing and making war.
Goliath, the Philistine came from Gaza. He was six cubits tall. He had a spear weighing six hundred shekels. He had six items of armour = 666
Interestingly the world has sided with the “splendid one” (666) against Israel. What a stupid world!
This “splendid” evil man had one objective, which was to destroy the children of Israel. That didn’t work out too well for him did it!
Israel, here comes the answer:
Jeremiah 15:19-21 “If you return (repent), then I will bring you back. You shall stand before Me and I shall take out the precious from the vile, You shall be as My mouth. Let them return to You, but you must not return to them. (Nations) I will make you, to this people, a fortified bronze wall, and they will fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you, for I am with you to save you and deliver you, says the Lord. I will deliver you from the hand of the wicked and I will redeem you from the grip of the terrible.”
Isaiah 42:16 “I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known, I will make darkness light before them and crooked places straight.”
Ezekiel 36:31 “You (Israel) will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good; and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight, for your iniquities and abominations.”
This verse above speaks of repentance coming to Israel. That will be the big thing that will cause the veil to lift. It will bring spiritual light and sight!
The nation born in a day:
The “nation born in a day” (Isaiah 66:8) is a reference to Israel becoming a nation in a day in 1948. But it has prophetic implications and a double reference to Israel being saved in a day or at least very quickly in the near future.
Isaiah 66:7-10 “Before she travailed, she gave birth; before her pain came, she delivered a male child. Who has heard of such a thing? Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day? Shall a nation be born in a day? For as soon as Zion travailed she gave birth to her children. ‘Shall I bring to the time of birth, and not cause delivery?’ says the Lord. Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad with her...”
Zechariah 3:9 “...I will remove the iniquity of that land (Israel) in one day.”
Isaiah 26:17-18 “As a woman with child is in pain and cries out in her pangs, when she draws near the time of delivery, so have we been in Your sight, O Lord...we have as it were, brought forth wind; we have not accomplished any deliverance in the earth, nor have the inhabitants of the earth fallen.”
These three verses above all speak of Israel and not the church as the Revelation 12 signers teach! All you have to do is read them and the surrounding context!
Romans 10:19-21 “I will provoke you (Jews) to jealousy by those who are not a nation. I will anger you by a foolish nation...I was found by those who did not seek Me (church): I was made manifest to those who did not ask for Me (church), but to Israel He says: All day long I have stretched out My hands to a disobedient and contrary people.”
I’ve mentioned this many times, but because it’s relevant now, here’s the short version: What could it be that makes the Jews jealous and angry at the same time? The church is most certainly implied in the verse.
Could it be that the rapture of the church makes the Jews suddenly jealous and angry? I don’t know what else fits the bill!
They call themselves, and rightly so, God’s chosen people. And at the rapture God leaves them behind! That will make them jealous and angry at the same time!
This will be part of the reason for the great veil-lifting. Their hearts will very quickly be broken and soften in repentance!
A possible scenario:
Romans 11:25-26 “I do not desire brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery (dispensation change) lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And so, all Israel will be saved.”
Think about this: When the last Gentile has come in, that’s the end of the church dispensation and the start of Daniel’s final seventy weeks (years). That of course, would presume a pre-tribulation rapture.
What does the term, “has come in” mean? It is Strong’s G1525, “Eiserchomai.” One of the meanings is: “Entrance into a new sate or condition.”
Do you see it? Is this verse, which has been simply read over so many times, also speaking of a pre-tribulation rapture and the close of one dispensation to start another?
I think so!
Is this verse saying that the salvation of the Jews will go into high gear as soon as the rapture has occurred? It most certainly could!
Israel will have to repent for the covenant they will make with the antichrist:
***Isaiah 28:15 “We (Israel) have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol (hell) we are in agreement. When the overflowing scourge (tribulation) passes through it will not come near us (peace treaty) for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood we have hidden ourselves.”
This verse above is one of the most profoundly tragic utterances of a people ever! It is an admission of total defeat, being totally deceived, paving their way to hell by their own word! The Jews thought that by making a new covenant with this deceiver, they would escape the tribulation and have peace!
Here is God’s reply:
***Isaiah 28:16-18 “Behold I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation (Messiah), a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation...Your covenant with death (verse 15) will be annulled and your agreement with Sheol (hell) will not stand; when the overflowing scourge passes through, then you will be trampled down by it.”
Amazingly, our Lord says that the covenant they made will be annulled, but they will go through the tribulation and suffer greatly.
You don’t make peace with the devil!
There are many in Israel who will not repent for breaking God’s covenant and making a new one with Satan, but many will and they will be that “remnant” who will be saved in the tribulation.
The speed of recovery of sight!
Taking numerous verses into account we see that the restoration of “sight” to the Jews of their Messiah happens initially very quickly – in one day. It then continues through the tribulation period.
●We see a “nation born in a day.” (Isaiah 66:8) ●We see: “I will remove the iniquity of that nation in one day.” (Zechariah 3:9) ●We see: All Israel will be saved as the last Gentiles comes in. (Romans 11:26) ●We see something occurring suddenly to cause the Jews to be jealous and angry at the same time. (Romans 10:19-21)
The rapture of the church would most certainly fulfil all of these requirements in a flash!
That would cause instant repentance amongst the remnant Jews and then God completely removes the veil of blindness.
Remember the speed of the rapture? Well that’s how quickly this whole stage will change.
They will be clean:
Ezekiel 36:25-27 “I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you (Israel) have profaned in their midst. The nations shall know that I am the Lord, when I am hallowed in you before them. I will take you from among the nations and gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you...I will put My Spirit within you...”
Ezekiel 36:33-35 “Thus says the Lord God, ‘On the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will also enable you to dwell in the cities, and the ruins shall be rebuilt...So they will say, ‘This land has become like the garden of Eden...”
Jeremiah 33:8 “I will cleanse them from all the iniquity by which they (Jews) have sinned against Me, and I will pardon their iniquities...”
The shock-effects of the rapture combined with the repentance of the Jews will be their greatest, most important event ever. It will change them, empower them and set them on fire for our God and Saviour.
The power of repentance will create sudden cleanliness and holiness.
Isaiah 25:8 “He will swallow up death forever and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces. The rebuke of His people, He will take away from all the earth. The Lord has spoken.”
Amos 9:9 “I will shake the house of Israel among all nations as grain is shaken in a sieve, but not one kernel will fall to the ground.”
Bear in mind that Christian Zionists and those with a heart for Israel, are working with God to bring sight to the Jews, while the churches of replacement theology are working with Satan, in their own blindness to keep the Jews blind!
Beloved brethren, we are on the verge of dramatic times. Yes I know I’ve said that so many times, but it is drawing ever closer!
I took this picture from a chopper flying over a section of Cathedral Peak in the Drakensberg, and added one of my pictures of an endangered black eagle.
Shalom and grow in His Grace!
