The war of the lions:

Introduction:

“The clash of the Titans” was an old movie based on ancient Greek mythical lion-like creatures. It was a remake of the “Wrath of the Titans.”

Today we have a lot more than a movie before us. We are witnessing the clash and the wrath of the lions as revealed in the Bible, with two big losers and two big winners.

This edition is about the ●Lion which is the Lamb of God. It is about the ●Lion of the tribe of Judah (Israel). It is about the ●lion of Babylon and Rome. It is about the ●devil who is like a lion.

On numerous occasions I have witnessed at close range, sometimes while on foot in the wild, the clash between lions, as their territory is invaded by an unwelcome lion. I can tell you it is an incredible experience. They fight, often to the death, with bloodcurdling, thunderous roars and with the wrath of giant teeth, jaws and claws in full attack mode.

Lions are territorial! The lion is the king of the beasts. Groups are sometimes referred to as a kingdom of lions. It is a ferocious killer with a roar that can be heard for many miles. That roar bites, devours and shreds its enemies. A lion has no natural enemies besides other lions.

Proverbs 30:30 “A lion, which is mighty among the beasts, does not turn away from any!”

The lion is a symbol of strength, beauty, power, fearlessness, and dominance. A lion can be described as an observant watchman. He is a judge with whom you do not negotiate. He is king, with a voice that silences all others. He is a silent stalker, producing fear when in protection mode. Lions are soft and gentle with their young.

Proverbs 19:12 “The king’s wrath is like the roaring of a lion, but his favour is like the dew on the grass.”

The Bible often uses an animal to describe a person because of similar characteristics.

●Our Lord and Saviour is described as a Lion, but with Lamb characteristics towards those that are His within His kingdom.

●Our Lord is described as the Lion of Israel. One of the emblems of Jerusalem is a lion. In fact all around the ancient walls of Jerusalem you will see sculptures and friezes of lions.

●The lion is a symbol of ancient Babylon. It represented the King of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar who is a type of the antichrist soon to be revealed. His lion emblem was meant to put fear in his enemies. Out of Babylon came Rome with its religion. The Roman Emperor Nero was a terrible killer, also a well-known type of the antichrist.

Babylon is a very clear and important type of the end-time world system, which will be headed by the antichrist for a short season.

●Satan is described in the Bible “as a roaring lion”. (1 Peter5:8)

The true church and Israel are inextricably linked to the Lion of all Lions – the winning Lion.

The end-time world system is inextricably linked to a lion of deception, a looser.

Let’s look now at all four lions:

The church’s Lion:

Our Lion has already turned into a Lamb. The true born-again church will never see the wrath of the Lion. He has already paid the price for us and ripped sin from us.

The Lord reserves His wrath for His enemies.  (Nahum 1:2)

Here is our great victory: Revelation 19:14 “The armies in heaven clothed in fine linen, white and clean followed Him on white horses.” So, the picture is a whole lot of lion cubs riding white horses.

We, as Lion cubs can rest assured and in confidence that our Father the Lion of God is our God, our Father, and great friend forever.

John 1:29 “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world!”

But if you won’t receive the Lamb slain and raised, He will be a raging Lion to you.

The big problem with the modern church is that it has become too lambified. It has forgotten how to roar when needs be.

Proverbs 28:1 “The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.”

Yeshua called two of His disciples “Sons of thunder” James and John wanted to call down fire to destroy some Samaritans (Luke 9:54) There were other instances where the thunder-like character of these two was evident. In today’s terms they could also be called “fire and brimstone” preachers.

Mark 3:17 “James and John the brother of James were called “Sons of thunder.”

Job 37:4-5 “A voice roars; He thunders with His majestic voice with no restraint when His voice is heard. God thunders marvellously with His voice. He does great things which we cannot comprehend.”

Much of the church today, instead of roaring, has its back to the enemy and is blind to what’s coming. How can you resist an enemy you refuse to see or address?

Does it matter if as a Christian you are uninformed or misdirected in these days?

Have a look at this informative picture below. The tourists are looking one way, but don’t see the lions coming up behind them. Guess who is in for a surprise in two seconds time!

This picture illustrates the importance of being vigilant and being fully informed by teachers and watchmen today. The unexpected can do you much harm if you are not ready. Being taught untruthful error is often a misdirection to set you up as devil-bait.

Israel’s Lion of Judah:

Genesis 49:9 “Judah (Israel) is a lion’s cub. From the prey, my son, you have gone up. He bows down and lies down as a lion; and as a lion, who shall rouse him?”

Israel’s Lion is our Lion too, but the scriptures reveal that the Lion operates differently with Israel. The Lion of Judah roars for Israel and defends her. (Revelation 5:5)

Micah 5:8 “The remnant of Jacob (Israel) shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many peoples. Like a lion among the beasts of the forest, like a young lion among the sheep, passing through, he treads down and tears in pieces and no one can deliver.”

Even in their rebellion and subsequent dispersion The Lion preserves Israel.

If you mess with a lion while it is in full roar, it will attack you. The Lord’s roar is a sounding trumpet calling Jews home. Don’t get in the way.

Joel 3:16 “The Lord will roar from Zion and raise His voice from Jerusalem, heaven and earth will tremble. But the Lord will be a refuge to His people, a stronghold for the people of Israel.”

Hosea 11:10 “They (Israel) shall walk after the Lord. He will roar like a lion. When he roars, his sons will come trembling from the west.”

But Israel has rejected their Messiah. Their teachers and leaders have led them astray. Many churches of replacement theology have also set Israel up for slaughter.

Ezekiel 22:25-26 “The conspiracy of her (Israel’s) prophets in her midst is like a roaring lion, tearing the prey and devouring the people...Her priests have violated My law and profaned My holy things. They have not distinguished between the holy and the unholy and the clean and the unclean...”

Bear in mind that God’s purposes and plans for Israel will not cease. He brings them back to their land in spiritual blindness ready to open their eyes when home. This is why God required Israel never to assimilate into the nations when in dispersion.

That is one of the prime reasons the world at large hates Israel, and why the new world order crowd want so desperately for Israel to assimilate into their hell-bound “Babylon the Great.”

Ezekiel 11:16 “Thus says the Lord God: “Although I have cast them far off among the Gentiles and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet I shall be a little sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.”

►God forbade Israel from assimilating into the nations when in exile. We as Christians are to “come out and be separate” from the world too. (2 Corinthians 6:17)

The lion of Babylon / Rome:

Psalm 46:6 “The nations raged (roared), the kingdoms were moved. He uttered His voice and the earth melted.”

The duty of the true watchmen of the Lord is to see and proclaim the destruction of end-time Babylon – the world system.

Isaiah 21:8 (Set up a watchman.) “Who cries, ‘a lion my Lord!’ I stand on watch in the daytime and at night...He said ‘Babylon is fallen is fallen.’”

Amos 3:8 “A lion has roared! Who will fear? The Lord has spoken! Who can but prophesy.”

Babylon was a great city with a tower attempting to reach God, made with man-made bricks. The temple in Jerusalem was made with God-made stone hewn and cut at the quarry, away from the temple, so that no man-made workings would be heard near the temple. (1 Kings 6:7)

God destroyed Babylon and the tower of Babel, while Babylonian man destroyed God’s temple in Jerusalem.

The Tower of Babel corresponds to the Revelation 18 “whore of Babylon”. Babylon was deeply entrenched in witchcraft, paganism, occult practises and forbidden religion.

The Catholic church has a close identification with Babylon and its tower, which was an attempt to reach God man’s way.

The point of all of this is that man thinks his man-made life’s beliefs and religions are all good and acceptable to God. Man thinks that God looks down on his great achievements and good works with favour. But God will destroy all that is man-made without God in it.

Mankind has always wanted to set up a man-made new world. Of course these attempts were and are all failures. God’s kingdom and future Millennium is the true New World Order of peace.

●It was Mohammad, the father of Islam who had a dream in which he says Gabriel appeared to him and told him to conquer the world. ●It was the Roman Emperor Constantine, a father of Catholicism who had a dream of a cross in the sky, with the words above it: “In this sign conquer the world”. ●It was Hitler and his Nazi Party of WW11 that wanted to create a thousand-year new world order, by conquering everyone that did not meet their “Aryan” race objectives.

Rome under its ten successive Emperors murdered untold millions of people. Religious Rome under the popes, murdered millions in their “Holy Inquisitions,” as they tried to control the world. Islam has murdered millions in their quest for world domination. Hitler murdered millions in his quest for a new Aryan world order. 

The end-time counterfeit new world order comes in on the wings of mass murder – of the unborn

The common denominator in all these attempts at a new world order is mass murder of those in opposition or who got in the way. Do you think it will be any different with the coming new world order – revived Babylon?

Babylon was made with man-made bricks and destroyed by God. Goliath’s weapons were made by man, but a God-made stone destroyed him. All the world empires in Daniel’s giant image are destroyed by a Stone from heaven.

All the nations of the world will gather to fight against Israel and Jerusalem in the final battle, with all their man-made weapons, but God will destroy them. (Zechariah 12:2-3)

The war of the Lions:

Choose your lion carefully!

The roaring fake lion of Babylon / Rome is about to attack the true Lion of the tribe of Judah on the battlefields of Israel. Who do you think will win this territorial battle?

The devil, as a roaring lion, with the lion of Babylon (end-time world), are at war with the Lion of Israel and the Lion of the church. The winner is obvious, but the losers are, and will create as much havoc along the way as they can.

If you are not saved, you have been deceived by a counterfeit roar. Your journey to hell begins in a valley – “the valley of decision.” (Joel 3:14) Your decision leads you into the “valley of the shadow of death.” (Psalm 23:4) You then progress to the valley of Jezreel, (Joshua 17:16) which is the valley of slaughter (Jeremiah7:32), and then finally to the valley of dead bodies (Jeremiah 31:40)

Do you know how stupid it is to back a loser when the war has already been fought and won by the Lion of Israel who is the Lamb of the church?

My friends the war is increasingly for your very heart mind and soul. You have the King of the beasts, the King of Kings and the Lord of the Lions on your side. You have no excuse to give up.

An insightful symbol:

Speaking of symbols, there are so many subliminal 666s around in logos today. There are also many symbols in the logos of the media companies, which speak volumes. I saw one the other day – a logo of a church organisation that was a clear 666!

The peacock was a Babylonian pagan symbol of pride. We know how Babylon’s pride ended and will end again! Many mass media companies have a peacock in their logo or emblem! Below are some 666 logos and the NBC / MSNBC/ Comcast media logo of a peacock of pride.

The ultimate foolishness is to reject something you nothing about. You will pay for your defiance of God. Be absolutely sure of that. As an unbeliever you will pay with eternal punishment. As a Christian, you pay with loss of eternal reward, but still be saved.

The mass media in their exalted pride are the devil’s mouthpiece and servant.

Psalm 94:20 “Shall the throne of iniquity, which devises evil by law, have fellowship with You?”

Amos 6:3 “Woe to those who put far off the day of doom and who cause the seat of violence to come near.”

Today like never before there is a great danger in rejecting the things of God.

●If you get rid of God you will get the anti-God. ●Get rid of the word of God and you will get the variable, lying word of the world and its media. ●Get rid of the kingdom of God and you will get Satan’s new world order. ●Get rid of the Holy Spirit and you get unholy, demonic spirits. ●Get rid of biblical doctrine and you will get false doctrine and the philosophy of man. ●Get rid of salvation and you will get self-exalted social justice. ●Get rid of heaven and you will get hell. ●Get rid of eschatology and you prove what an idiot you are.

The world thinks it will have peace if it kills the Lion, which is the Lamb. It thinks it can subdue the Lion of Israel! The world thinks it can get rid of the true church, Israel and the word of God. The world has the nastiest surprise of all surprises coming soon!

Finally

Proverbs 20:2 “The wrath of the king is like a roaring lion, whoever provokes him to anger sins against his own life.”

Deuteronomy 33:27-28 “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will thrust out the enemy from before you, and will say, ‘Destroy!’ So Israel dwells securely...”

My friends, you are in the everlasting arms of a Lamb, which is in fact is your great friend - a Lion. That’s a picture of comfort and security.
