Shabbat (Sabbath) begins on Fridays at 6pm and ends on Saturdays at 6pm. The purpose is to help the church and Israel become reconciled in Messiah and to identify the rift, and the needed restoration. There is much in the church that needs to change before it can be fully reconciled with the Jew. Likewise, changes in Jewish thinking are also needed.

Shabbat Shalom to all!
The tree-huggers delight:
The Bible uses plants, trees, colours, animals, birds, numbers and more to describe people and nations. It is the subliminal symbols that are of great significance and meaning, especially in relation to Israel.
Did you realise that the entire course of Israel’s history is plotted in the trees? There is much more to these symbols and metaphors - for another time.
Here are some amazing messages blowing in the wind, relating to Israel.
►The Olive tree: (Romans 11)
These trees have very deep, well established roots. They are sometimes called eternal trees, because they are so hardy; they live for many thousands of years. An ancient olive tree appears to die, but then miraculously, new shoots appear out of the dead wood continuing its existence.
The olive tree produces a rich olive oil which has numerous uses, but is also a type of the Holy Spirit. Olive oil is required to keep the temple menorah flames burning. This symbolises light. Olive tree leaves are symbols of peace. Remember the dove bringing back an olive branch to the ark after the flood of judgement.
The root of the olive tree is symbolic of God Himself. The root is called, “holy.”
Biblically, there are two olive trees of importance. The natural olive tree, is symbolic of Israel, and the wild olive tree, is symbolic of the church. The wild olive branch was “grafted” into the natural olive tree, thus partaking of the goodness of the root.
The national emblem of Israel includes two olive branches.
An ancient olive tree grove:
►The Fig tree:
The fig tree is symbolic of spiritual fruitfulness after severe pruning or judgement. It relates to Israel in the tribulation period, awakening to spiritual life.
The fig tree is unique in that its blossoms appear before the leaves. It should have fruit appearing before the leaves. This is why our Lord cursed the unfruitful fig tree, causing it to die. The root was not destroyed though, and a new tree full of fruit, is about to appear.
When the disciples asked out Lord what would be the sign of His coming, He listed a number of judgements to fall on the world. But one of these was the sign of the fig tree.
Matthew 24:32-34 “learn the parable of the fig tree: When is branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that the summer is near. So also you when you see all these things, know that it is near, even at the very doors. Assuredly, I say to you, ‘this generation (of Jews) will be no means pass away till all these things are fulfilled.’”
Present day Zionism and the awakening of the Jews, as well as modern anti-Semitism are signs of the fig tree putting forth leaves and about to produce much spiritual fruit.
►The Almond tree:
The almond is the first tree to flower in its season, which at the end of winter. The flower has five petals to it, five being the number of grace. The temple menorah, a symbol of light, has oil cups or containers in the shape of almond flowers.
The Hebrew word for “almond” is “shakeid” which also means to “awake” and “watch”.
The almond is symbolic of Messiah’s resurrection. It speaks of the supernatural power of God as seen in Aaron’s almond branch that budded in one day. (Numbers 17:8)
Jeremiah 1:11-14 “The word of the Lord came to me saying, ‘Jeremiah, what do you see?’ I said, ‘I see the branch of an almond tree.’ Then the Lord said, ‘you have seen well for I am about to perform My word.’ And the word of the Lord came to me a second time, saying, ‘what do you see? And I said, a boiling pot and it is facing away from the north.’ Then the Lord said to me: ‘Out of the north calamity shall break forth on all the inhabitants of the land.’”
The message here is that as the almond (Israel) flowers and buds she will be plunged into the tribulation period.
Jeremiah 31:28 “It shall come to pass that as I have watched over them to pluck up, to break down, to throw down, to destroy and to afflict them, so I will watch over them to build and plant says the Lord. In those days they shall say no more, ‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes...’”
Psalm 80:8-9 “You have brought a vine out of Egypt, You have cast out the nations and planted it. You prepared room for it, and caused it to take deep root and it filled the land.”
This vine, Israel, is described as “the choicest vine.” But it is a vine that also has within it a “winepress.” (Isaiah 5:1-2) The “winepress” speaks of the crushing tribulation to come!
God planted Israel as a “noble vine” of the highest quality, yet it became an alien, degenerate vine. This speaks of Israel's rebellion to Messiah. (Jeremiah 2:21)
As with the olive and the fig tree, the vine will bear its good fruit in its time, which is just around the corner!
►Other trees symbolic of Israel:
Joel 1:12 (Context: Israel is invaded in the tribulation period) “The vine has dried up and the fig tree has withered; and the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree. All the trees of the field have withered. Surely joy has withered away from the sons of men.
But we know that Israel's story does not end in the tribulation. Joy will return.
The Cedar: Symbol of power, royalty and majesty. The Oak: Symbol of strength and stability. The Palm: Symbol of military victory and victory in Messiah. The Pomegranate: Symbol of abundance and joyfulness. The Acacia: Symbol of beauty. The Myrtle: Symbol of God’s favour and blessing.
The grand summary:
Israel is: Deeply rooted in God with an eternal future. Israel contains the light-producing oil of the Spirit of God and soon will be Messiah’s light of the world! Israel will be at peace soon. The church is a “wild” family member of Israel through our joint root in God. Israel will become fully fruitful after pruning. Israel’s ripening fruit is a sign of Messiah’s coming. Israel will bud and come to life supernaturally in a day and then bring the light of salvation to the Gentile world. Israel will go through the winepress of tribulation, be attacked from the north and fall under calamity, because she was the choicest, noble vine and yet gave herself to paganism. (Baal) Finally Israel will fulfil God’s call and plan in power, majesty and strength, abundance, and blessing.
All of this is revealed in the nature of this forest of trees, and the corresponding Bible verses. How can you not be a tree-hugger!
Edition 181 November 8th 2013
What is coming upon Israel?
Israel has a most dramatic future! No author or playwright could ever have dreamed up such an incredible plot! As if Israel’s past hasn’t been equally dramatic! What is coming soon will put previous dramas to shame by comparison!
Amazingly the great plot and drama is laid out in God’s word for all to see, but few know anything about it.
Because of their ignorance many, especially politicians and church leaders will become players in the fateful final act. Imagine the horror of standing condemned before God one day and then finding out that the entire plot was scripted in the Bible and they took the side of the enemy!!
If you base your opinions and thoughts on what the mass media has to say on these issues I tell you now, you are a fool in the true sense of the word.
We must first look to the inerrant word of our living God to find the plot and see what His plan for Israel was and will be. Then we can see these things His way and see just what the final outcome will be.
Isaiah 46:9-10 “Remember the former things of old, for I am God and there is no other...declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure.”
Here is the overall summary:
God chose the Jewish people (not because they were special, but because He loved them and that was His choice.) He chose them to bring the Jewish Messiah to the world. He chose them to bring the good news of salvation to the world. He chose them to complete His final work.
Exodus19:5 “If you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people...”
The entire history of the Jewish people was foretold in the Bible through its prophecy. We’ve seen their obedience to God, their rebellion, their idol worship, their banishment from the land, their deliverance from enemies, their return to the land, and the start of their spiritual awakening. And all of this was clearly spelt out in the Bible before these events happened.
But now here we are at the dawn of the greatest drama ever, and the content of about one third of the Bible.
Israel will fall hard:
We all know that Israel will soon make a fateful covenant with death. She will sign a so-called peace treaty with the one who will be revealed in that act as the antichrist.
The signing or confirming of this seven-year covenant will be a stench in the nostrils of God. It will be a mockery of all God’s promises to Israel. It will evoke His fury and wrath. The signing of this covenant of hell and death will be so severe and serious from God’s point of view, it will begin the tribulation period.
But it doesn’t end there.
Ezekiel 22:19-22 “Because you have all become dross, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. As men gather silver, bronze, iron lead and tin into the midst of the furnace to melt it; so I will gather you in My anger and My fury and I will melt you and blow the fire of My wrath upon you...then you shall know that I the Lord have poured out My fury upon you.”
Zachariah 13:8-9 “It shall come to pass in all the land (Israel) says the Lord that two thirds in it shall be cut off and die, and I will bring one third through the fire and test them and I will say this is My people and each will say, the Lord is My God.”
Jeremiah 30:5 “We have heard a voice of trembling and fear and not of peace...Alas for that day is great, so that none is like it; and it is the time of Jacob’s trouble, but he (Israel) shall be saved out of it.”
Hosea 9:1 “Do not rejoice, O Israel, with joy like the other peoples, for you have played the harlot against your God.”
The above verses relate to these end times. They are tragic indeed. They speak of Israel’s rebellion, the reason for their coming troubles. They are about to unfold in full force and Israel will not escape.
In His foreknowledge God knows the Jewish people will eventually soften their heart to Messiah and will fulfil God’s call for them.
A powerful plan:
God’s powerful, incredible plan for the Jewish people has fooled the world and most of the church!
►Isaiah 42:16 “I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them and crooked places straight...”
►Isaiah 9:2 “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined.”
►Micah 7:8-9 “Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; when I fall I will arise, when I sit in darkness the Lord will be a light to me...He will bring me forth to the light, and I will see His righteousness.”
So now we see that God will bring His people in their spiritual darkness and blindness back to the land and then begin to open their eyes. But note in the following verse that this spiritual revival among the Jews will be so great that the nations of the world will be impacted.
Ezekiel 36:23 “I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you (Israel) have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord, when I am hallowed in you before their eyes.”
The rest of these verses speak of God sanctifying Israel, bringing them into their own land, sprinkling clean water on them, cleansing them of their idolatry and then the great culmination in Ezekiel 36:26 “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you...”
All the end time prophecies of the Bible assume Israel is in her God-given land and Jerusalem is under Jewish control. Obama, Kerry and others need to know and understand these things! But they don’t and won’t, because the very same Bible that predicts the ultimate future victory of Israel also predicts the downfall of all those who work against God’s plan.
The end of the great plot is that God will use His redeemed Jewish people to bring salvation to a shaking, falling, catastrophic world in terror and tribulation.
Can these dry bones live?
Ezekiel 37:11-14 “Then He said to me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel...Behold O My people I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves and bring you into the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves...I will put My Spirit in you and you shall live. Prophesy and say to them (bones), ‘thus says the Lord God: “Behold O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your grave and bring you into the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people and brought you up from your graves.” “I will put My Spirit in you and you shall live...”
This “dry bones” prophecy is well known, so I won’t go into it now; just to point out that this is just starting to occur now as spiritual revival befalls many Jews.
It’s also important to note that the “dry bones” coming-to-life prophecy is in Ezekiel 37, which is followed immediately by Ezekiel 38 and 39, which is the prophecy of the great war of Gog and Magog, also referred to by some as WW111.
In the original, this is all continuous, and it is consistent with many other prophecies in the Bible.
As our Messiah was born, Satan immediately tried to kill Him. Now as Israel comes to life Satan will immediately try to prevent it, because he knows his time is almost over. God will use the Jewish people to fulfil His original call to them during the tribulation period.
The question the Bible asks is “can these dry bones live?” the answer is yes they will!
Many churches will wane:
At the time God grafts the original olive tree branch (Israel) back into their tree, He will also cut off all those that come against His work.
Today we are right at the start of this cutting off. We see a great many churches operating in the power of the flesh starting to come against God’s work with Israel.
Romans 11:21-22 “If God did not spare the natural branches (Israel), He may not spare you either. Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: On those who fell ,severity, but towards you (Gentiles), goodness, if you continue in His goodness, otherwise you also will be cut off.”
Today the great tragedy within the church is that many blind, deceived guides are leading their flocks into replacement theology thus setting themselves up as enemies of God.
As they replace Israel with themselves, they stand barren and dry while God Himself replaces His call upon them.
I have warned many times that the great, big rising wall of division in these days is Israel and God’s plan for the close of the age involving Israel, Jerusalem and the Jewish people. If you are neutral on the issue out of ignorance you need to get informed. If you are neutral on the issue and you know about these things, you are a spineless fool and tool in the hand of the devil.
Do you know that few will be saved and many lost in these days?
God’s winning battle axe:
Jeremiah 51:20 “You are My battle-axe and weapons of war; for with you I will break the nations in pieces; with you I will destroy kingdoms.”
Joel 3:9-10 “Proclaim this among the nations; Prepare for war! Wake up the mighty men; let all the men of war draw near. Beat your ploughshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weak say I am strong.”
This verse above is the opposite of the verse carved in stone on the side of the UN building, which is the Millennium verse saying that “they will beat their swords into ploughshares.”
The days ahead will be of great conflict in the spirit realm but also in the natural realm, especially in the military fields.
Here are some verses that Satan’s agents Obama and other political leaders need to know. On a personal note, in spite of her many great sins, I love the US and the Americans. The very fact that there are so many Americans, who stand for God’s plans for Israel in these days, is the only thing holding off their destruction. But the following verses are frightening indeed!
Jeremiah 30:16-17 “All those who devour you (Israel) shall be devoured; and all your adversaries, every one of them will go into captivity; those who plunder you shall become plunder, and all who prey on you, I will make a prey. For I will restore your health to you and heal you of your wounds, says the Lord, because they called you an outcast saying: This is Zion, no one seeks her.”
Micah 4:11 “Now also many nations have gathered against you, who say, Let her be defiled, and let our eye look upon Zion, but they do not know the thoughts of the Lord...He will gather them for threshing.”
You touch Israel; you touch the apple of God’s eye!
Psalm 17:8-9 “Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me under the shadow of your wings, from my deadly enemies who surround me.”
Zechariah 2:8 “He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye.”
Throughout history those who have come against Israel have themselves suffered. Those who “injure” Israel will do so to their own detriment. They have blood on their hands in the face of God.
Amos 9:15 “I will plant them in their land, and no longer shall they be pulled up from the land I have given them, says the Lord your God.”
Isaiah 59:3-4 “For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies and your tongue has muttered perversity...they conceive evil and bring forth iniquity...”
In the soon-coming tribulation period many will try to destroy Israel. Even now many are already plotting to throw Israel under the bus. What a stupid thing to do!
Israel’s glorious and grand finale:
Isaiah 60:14 “The sons of those who afflicted you shall come bowing to you...I will make you (Israel) an eternal excellence.
Germany, – take note of this verse above! Yes you have shaken off your Nazi past. This is God’s final act upon you! Don’t worry Germany, it’s actually good news. You will finally bow to the Jews filled with the Spirit of the living God. The Jews will lead you Germany, to salvation!
Germany, O Germany, do you realise that in spite of your murderous past and even in spite of the fact that you will turn against Israel again in the near future, some of you have a glorious future. Yes sir, in the tribulation period, you will end up serving the Messiah through the Jews, God’s eternal excellence!
How does that make you feel, Germany?
Oh, by the way Germany, you remember all those hated yellow star badges that you made the Jews wear on their sleeves in WW2? And remember all the serial numbers that you tattooed onto Jewish arms?
Here is a wonderful verse for you Germany; this is God’s act of forgiveness for you:
Zechariah 8:23 “Thus says the Lord of hosts; In those days ten men from every language and nation shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.”
So, Germany, you will soon be hanging onto Jewish sleeves and they won’t lead you to gas ovens of retaliation but to the salvation of the living God!
And again, Germany, of course you remember your anti-Semitic hero, Martin Luther, who hated the Jews so much he wrote a tract prefiguring the holocaust? He was the foundation of your state denomination the Lutherans, who are still anti-Israel. Well, Germany, your Lutheran church has led more people to hell than you can imagine. But here is God’s forgiving grace to you:
Ezekiel 20:41 “I will accept you (Israel)as a sweet aroma when I bring you out of the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you have been scattered ; and I will be hallowed in you before the Gentiles.”
Do you know, Gentile Germany, that you will soon see the living God, not in the Lutheran church but in the Jews? And of course Germany, you do remember that Martin Luther was one of Hitler’s heroes?
Of course all of this applies to all the nations of the world as well.
Zechariah 8:13 “It shall come to pass that just as you were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you and you shall be a blessing...”
Israel will finally be the blessing of God to all those who will be open to Him in the tribulation period.
What you can do:
In terms of the Jews coming to salvation, be sure that the majority will be saved by the work of the Lord alone. God will not use the majority of churches for this job, except for a few in the true Church. The people God will use to bring the Jews to salvation will be those free from Babylon and Christian occult, paganism and idolatry.
Isaiah 43:12 “There was no foreign god among you; therefore you are My witnesses says the Lord.”
Zephaniah 1:4 “...Against the inhabitants of Jerusalem, I will cut off every trace of Baal from this place, the names of the idolatrous priests, with the pagan priests.”
2 Kings 17:32-34 “...Priests of the high places sacrificed in the shrines of the high places. They feared the Lord, yet served their own gods according to the rituals of the nations...to this day they continue practicing their former rituals; they do not fear the Lord...”
Jeremiah 10:2 “Do not learn the way of the pagans.” (This goes on to condemn the cutting down of the fir tree and decorating it with gold and silver!)
Deuteronomy 12:30-31 “Take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed before you, and that you do not enquire after their gods, saying ‘How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.’ You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way...”
Exodus 23:13 “Be circumspect and make no mention of the name of other gods, nor let it be heard from your mouth.”
God will not allow the Jewish people to come back into a form of Babylonian captivity again.
Zechariah 1:14 “I am zealous for Jerusalem, and for Zion with great zeal. I am exceedingly angry with the nations at ease...therefore thus says the Lord: I am returning to Jerusalem with mercy; My house shall be built in it...”
This verse is one of many that implying that the Temple will be rebuilt in Jerusalem.
Nations of the world, you should take note of this verse above and in fact all of them in the edition. They spell out your doom and the reason why.
Zechariah 9:9 “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding on a donkey, a colt the foal of a donkey.”
Psalm 22:16 “The assembly of the wicked has enclosed Me. They pierced My hands and My feet.”
Isaiah 50:6 “I gave My back to those who struck Me, and My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard. I did not hide My face from shame and spitting.”
I took this picture with my trusty Hasselblad in the beautiful, sublime Namib Desert. This is one of a number of dead tree pans in the middle of thousands of kilometres of sand dunes. These dead Camel Thorn trees are about 2000 years old. They represent the cut-off, dead Olive Tree, which is Israel. But it will miraculously spring to life.
Romans 11:24-25 “If you (Gentiles,)were cut out of the olive tree (Israel), which is wild by nature and were grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree; how much more will these (Israel), who are the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree...for hardening in part has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.”
Shalom and grow in grace!
