Shabbat (Sabbath) begins on Fridays at 6pm and ends on Saturdays at 6pm. The purpose is to help the church and Israel become reconciled in Messiah and to identify the rift, and the needed restoration. There is much in the church that needs to change before it can be fully reconciled with the Jew. Likewise, changes in Jewish thinking are also needed.
Edition 407: March 6th 2018
God’s truth / Satan’s truth:
This edition may be shocking to some.
I will deal with some of the big underlying spiritual moves and forces at work in the world today. Some of these include: Globalism, Universalism, Post-truth and Interfaith. These things are flooding the world now at great speed, together with many other dangerous false doctrines. Be aware of what is going on, so that you can be pro-active.
Defining the term:
God’s truth is unchanged and has always been revealed in His word by His Spirit. It has the goal of leading us to the cross and beyond, defining our walk, and much more. It comes with defined fruits of the Spirit.
Satan’s truth is just the same! Satan uses pure error, but his big deception lies in his use of biblical truth, but always with the cross missing. It comes with fruits of his spirit – poison.
The cross is the holiness-creator for us. The word “holiness” is rich in meaning:
Holiness: Strong’s H6944 “Qudesh”. Meanings: Apartness, separation, sanctification, pure.
Satan’s truth can include many biblical concepts like love, peace and unity, but all without the cross and the holiness it creates.
Cross-less, unholy Christianity is Satan’s counterfeit.
●The cross is the greatest obstacle to globalism, a new world order, and world peace simply because the cross is the great separator. It only unifies those who have received it and now embrace it.
●The second greatest obstacle to globalism is Israel. Like the cross of God, the call of God to the Jews, indentifies and separates them from the nations of the world, for God’s exclusive plan. The Bible forbids the Jews from assimilating into the nations, even in their dispersion.
Globalism must get rid of the cross and God’s call for Israel.
We, as true believers, must be led by the Spirit, but in this day that must include the Sword too! The Sword of the Spirit is severe. It is two edged, separating and dividing.
Today, too many are led by the Sprit of truth mixed with Satan’s truth and purposes, too many are misrepresenting pure biblical truth, and bringing it into disrepute. (2 Peter 2:1-3) A mixture of God and the devil will never ever work or produce godly results.
●The end goal of God’s truth is the coming of Messiah and a new world, pure and holy.
●The end goal of Satan’s truth is the coming of his messiah and a new world full of sin.
Satan’s authority to create his world is a well camouflaged lie and a deception. His selective use of scripture is in fact the essence of heresy. He uses many minsters and platforms like YouTube.
Satan’s use of teachers:
Some teachers of the gospel may have started well, but somewhere down the line, pride came in and the deception-door was opened! In these last days there will be thousands of them!
The nature of the false teacher is to draw away disciples after themselves. (Acts 20:30) But what they are doing is drawing people into the clutches of Satan.
The false teacher will try to get you to be led by him.
There are only two sources of revelation. One is the Holy Spirit and the other is Satan. Revelation correctly used, produces knowledge, understanding and wisdom by grace, with accompanying biblical fruits.
Revelation used by someone backed by Satan produces legalistic, judgemental control. It is actually the power of witchcraft at work.
“Witchcraft is the control of people by a spirit, which is not the Spirit of God”. – (Derek Prince)
Satan’s teachers are inside and outside of the church.
The mass media like CNN, Sky and all the others, are no longer news channels. Now, they shape the news, so that they can shape you. But it’s their big boss, Satan doing the shaping! Satan is shaping you to fit in with his globalist, evil agenda.
Part of the globalist world-agenda is to de-moralise society. They do this by constantly moving the acceptable limits of morality a bit further down, then a bit more. The world, in its ignorance, buys it all. Then they say it’s all acceptable, because the world thinks so.
Before Satan can change your morality, he must alienate your affections for God, His word and His holiness, which are all inextricably linked. He does this gradually, although now it’s all speeding up. You must know God’s word extremely well in these days, and apply it.
The word of the media and all the institutions of the world, traditions, and cultures, take pre-eminence when God is removed from society.
Politics, property, money, materialism, entertainment and all the ways of the world, become a god when God is gone. Culture and tradition takes the place of faith. They require no moral repentance and are therefore unholy in nature. People these days don’t like anything that requires deep repentance!
Ignorance of the word of God, led by the Spirit of God, is a most dangerous thing, today.
Biblical truth comes with a package which including morality. People don’t like that. They want the truth, but the not the lifestyle of the truth.
The true teacher will not yield to that. He will teach the truth with its morality and the severe consequences of avoiding it.
God’s true teachers will be led by the Spirit and therefore will be led into all truth. They will be expositors of real, complete truth. (Acts 20:27) They will preach and teach all of the truth and not selected items.
The true teacher will show you the right way, which is through repentance, to the cross, and on to glory! He will present to you the goodness and severity of God. (Romans 11:22)
A true, Spirit-led teacher will always leave you changed. You will feel clean and right.
The principle of cross-created and inspired repentance is that it creates holiness inside, and is a border and barrier keeping evil out. Repentance is a daily walk.
Globalism, war and sin:
A satanically created globalist world must be amoral. It must cast down the values, virtues and holiness of the word of God. Holiness comes exclusively from God. It has no place in Satan’s world.
Remember the great prophecy of Isaiah 59:14 “I looked and saw the word (law) cast down in the street.”
You do not cast the word down without consequences! The tragic result is that the word of the world and its god, Satan, is then exalted in the streets of the world!
Not too long ago we had many nations “under God.” Today many of those nations are under Satan. You can see it in the fruit.
Hitler had a globalist agenda. He wanted to create a thousand-year Nazi-ruled world in which they would dominate. The Jews stood in his way, because they are biblically and prophetically destined never to assimilate into the world.
The purpose today of all churches of replacement theology and various forms of anti-Semitism is no different than that of Hitler!
When you go into a church of replacement theology, do you see the swastika on the pulpit? If you don’t, you need to open your spiritual eyes! It’s right there.
Globalism involves a great change from nations under God, to nations under Satan and a hot church to a lukewarm institution of devils and demons.
Please bear in mind that globalists don’t just want you on board with them. They want to change and shape you into a piddly little creature that fits nicely into a slot in hell.
●War is a tool of globalism.
Wars are essentially fought over territory or religion. War creates chaos, fear and anarchy. The answer is a one-world system and a one-world religion. That then, gets rid of independent territories and religions. That should open the door for peace, they think!
War creates fear which creates the desire for peace. When the war is severe enough, it will be peace at any cost that will be accepted. That will include surrender to Satan’s antichrist.
Satan’s global, new world order will never be able to get rid of sin, so it is simply renamed and removed as an issue. Sin is gradually accepted and enshrined and becomes a basic human right.
The final end result of Satan’s new one world order is the enthronement of sin. No wonder the Bible calls the antichrist, “the man of sin.”
Guard your life:
Guard your hearts. What is in your heart sets and determines the course of your life!
Like never before, we need to be vigilant. We need to be discerning in identifying all the attacks upon us, and we need to be personally thorough and severe in removing the dangers.
Proverbs 4:20-23●“Give attention to My words. ● Incline your ear to My sayings. ●Do not let them depart from your eyes and ●keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all your flesh. ●Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it springs the issues of life.”
The two verses below are so profound and far reaching. They should be on top of your “Daily Bread” promise-box!
Job 20:5-6 “The triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite (Lit=godless) is but for a moment. Though his haughtiness mounts up to the heavens, and his head to the clouds, yet he will perish forever like his own refuse.”
Job 17:9 “The righteous will hold to his way, and he who has clean hands will be stronger and stronger.”
A Post-Truth World!
►The “Word of the Year” for 2016, according to the Oxford Dictionary was “Post Truth.” Their definition is: “Circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.”
The graph below shows the increasing frequency of the term “post truth” in recent years:
“Post truth!” You have to be totally stark-raving mad, and insane to believe that! Yet this is the way of the world’s deluded intellectuals, crackpot clever people, mass-media mugs, lamebrain liberal politicians, and other blinded, devil-deceived and empowered fruitcakes.
The true, repentant, faith-filled believer, on the other hand, stands securely in the temple of glorious, unchangeable, eternal truth, celebrating its awesome wonder, splendour, majesty and miraculous magnificence, transforming us from glory to glory!
Psalm 60:4 “You have given a banner to those who fear You, that it may be displayed because of the truth.”
You can’t redefine truth because it’s absolute and of God. You can only redefine yourself. It is modern humanity that is the fast-deteriorating problem.
Truth is not words and concepts although they are involved. Truth is a living Spirit – the Spirit of God. Truth is alive and well and will endure forever!
A “post truth” world of necessity means a sin-filled world of variables where anything goes. It is only God’s truth that identifies sin and deals with it through the cross. A post-truth world implies that truth is obsolete and something else has replaced it.
What has replaced it? No-truth, no absolutes, no authority structures based on God’s word. No family values, no virtues, no manners, no restraint from evil, and no Jewish Israel!
The Ten Commandments are of God. They define sin and point the way to the answer – the cross. A post-truth world rejects them and contains the commandments of Satan and points the way to hell.
Here are just a few of Satan’s commandments:
Do what you will.
Isaiah 14:13-15 “I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will sit on the mount of the congregation. I will ascend above the clouds. I will be like the Most High.’ Yet you shall be brought down to hell.’”
Today, many people would take God to court for violating their rights in this new post-truth world.
Post-truth is for brainless, hell-bound fools and politicians. Tragically many churches and their wolf-leaders are wallowing in the post-truth cow dung too.
The damage done:
A move away from God and His word kills your conscience. A damaged conscience is dangerous and makes you a moral psychopath. Actually, it’s like leprosy killing your feelings and emotions – preparing you for your ride to hell. (That’s just why leprosy is a type of sin in the Bible.)
●God’s new world order is full of holiness. ●Satan’s new world order is full of sin. Satan’s work is to make his new world order acceptable to all. The problem though is that sin almost always comes with many other satanic commodities like sickness, depression, stress, poverty and more.
Pride causes rebellion to God and refusal to repent. Humility causes submission to God and repentance. Have you ever noticed that proud and arrogant people are so blind to truth and often filled with many hang-ups, and obsessions?
Many people want to be saved, but they don’t want holiness. They are so deeply entrenched in sin that it’s normal to them. In fact it draws them forever downward. The funny thing is that holiness is powerful in its attraction. It draws you higher and fills you with all things good.
Matthew 23:12 “Whoever exalts himself will be abased, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
Obadiah 1:3 “The pride of your heart has deceived you...”
Psalm 10:4 “The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of His thoughts.”
Be careful what you let into your heart, because it will grow and expand. Error grows. The Bible says “tend your heart.” That is an agricultural term meaning that we are to tend our hearts as a gardener. Rip out the weeds and nurture the good.
Most Christians are more concerned about the approval of their peers, finding favour with the world, measuring themselves amongst themselves, with the media as their standard, rather than the requirements of God.
God’s requirements have not changed one bit. They are the cross applied to the flesh, the world and the demonic! They are humility before our Lord, brokenness, surrender and an ongoing walk of repentance.
●The world’s no-cross is the great evil-maker. No-cross leaves you full of sin. Even your good is sin. ●The cross is the self - killer and holy - maker.
There is a unique power available exclusively to Christians walking in fellowship with our Lord. It’s a secret, hidden, but glorious power. It is called the power of the cross. (Philippians 3:10) This power gives us the strength die self and to walk free from sin.
Dead, hell-bound digital truth:
Today we are in a world of digital data and artificial intelligent design. Algorithms and centralised processing is being set up to produce digital dictatorships! Who controls data controls humanity!
The digital world is amoral they say. No it is not!
Satan has access to wherever God has been removed.
The digital world does what its creators make it do. It therefore takes on the morality of its creator. It is engineered to suit the globalist agenda. The control of data is a powerful means of controlling the future of humanity and the masses. Data is a control mechanism in the wrong hands!
The digital data world is and will become the power of the 666 system.
Hacking human brains is the next big thing.
For you, dear believer, the globalist agenda will not get’s its hands on you. For you it will fail miserably. The rapture will take care of that. For the unsaved it will be a huge success, only for a short time!
God’s response to Satan’s “truth”
Satan’s use of God’s truth to deceive the masses will not last. But being aware of the problem and how it works, gives you a huge advantage. God’s age old word is more than enough to defeat the devil on every front.
Proverbs 1:25-27 “If you disdain My counsel, I will laugh and mock when your terror comes. When you call on Me, I won’t answer because you did not choose the fear of the Lord. Whoever listens to Me will dwell safely and securely.”
Isaiah 5:20-24 “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness...Woe to those that are wise in their own eyes...Therefore as fire devours stubble, and flames consume the chaff, so their root will be a rottenness, and their blossom will ascend as dust; because they have rejected the law (word) of the Lord.”
Psalm 139:21-24 Do I not hate your enemies...I hate them with perfect hatred, I count them my enemies...Search me, O God and know my heart; try me and know my anxieties; see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
Satan once before got the masses to accept the way of peace without the sin-removing cross. The world will again receive Barabbas, but they won’t see that he is the antichrist!
The opposite of the cross of Calvary is worldly humanism. The cross slays self-effort, humanism glorifies it.
As we go forward nearer and nearer to our glorious eternity, we must remain vigilant, holy, pure and wise to the devil’s devices. Stay clear of globalism in all its forms including liberal politics. Let you life be an impenetrable barrier and border to all of these globalist endeavours.
Thankfully a number of churches and ministries are teaching and preaching some excellent material on these things. Others continue like stupid ostriches with their heads in the sand.
I took the background picture of a giant baobab tree in the Limpopo Province and combined it with one of my own art works also of a baobab. (I guess you’ve figured out that I love these trees!)
Shalom and grow in His Grace!
Edition 406: February 27th 2018
Signs of maturity:
Maturity in the Lord is different for everyone. “To whom much is given, much is required and to who little is given, little is required”. But there are many consistent requirements for all believers.
This edition is about is about maturity in the Lord in these days, and the end-time obstacles.
There is no end to the depths of maturity in our Lord! Its effects endure forever!
Transformation from glory to glory:
At the new birth something glorious happened. We became one with our Lord in spirit – holy and pure. We now have incredible potential for that perfection to work from our spirit, into all areas of our lives as we follow our Lord to maturity.
Mirror, mirror on the wall...what are you telling me? The word of God is an odd mirror. As we look into it we see our risen Lord in all His glory and perfection. Too many have smashed God’s mirror in the street! Now all they have is Satan’s monster-mirror of deception and lies to look into.
2 Corinthians 3:18 “We all with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
As we, reverently look into God’s mirror, why do we see an image of our Lord? Firstly it’s because that is just what we are like in spirit. Secondly, it’s because that is our standard and measure of comparison. It shows us how many things need changing and transformation, in the soul realm.
Note that we change from glory to glory and into His image. This is an amazing mirror!
People really don’t value God’s word these days as they should, because they don’t see or understand eternity. They don’t understand the eternal value of their potential transformation. They are also hindered by many of the forces of the world and its god, Satan.
Our Lord said of Satan: “The ruler of the world has nothing in Me.” (John 14:30) As we arrive at the destination of maturity we will see little or nothing of Satan’s ways left in our lives.
Luke 13:3 “If you don’t repent you will be condemned with the world.”
As we look into God’s mirror we see many things that require attention and immediate repentance.
People generally find it easy to accept our Lord. But, you see, our Lord said – “follow Me.” So salvation is not just accepting the Lord, although that is a part of the process, it includes believing and following!
Following our Lord is costly. It means changing our direction and going His way. It means not following the world!
As we approach the entire end-time drama, we are approaching the final manifestation of Satan. His world is becoming more and more disgusting, and tragically acceptable to the spiritually blind. But it will always produce its rotten fruits of stress, inner torment and much more.
Ephesians 2:1-2 “He made you alive who were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who works in the sons of disobedience.”
Hebrews 12:8-10 “If you are without chastening of which we all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons...we are chastened that we may become partakers of His holiness...which yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness.”
1 Corinthians 11:31-32 “If we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged, but when we are judged we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world. “
If you are unsaved you are automatically on the world’s path. If you are saved, and on this path, you must change course fast as a wilful, determined act of repentance in faith.
You go forward to ever-increasing maturity in the Lord by faith and repentance.
Psalm 17:4 “By the word of your lips, I have kept myself from the paths of the destroyer.”
Psalm 119:11 “Your word I have hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you.
What an amazing calling!
We have been called by our Lord to salvation and more. What an incredible calling it is! Here are some amazing verses. Please note just what they are saying.
Ephesians 1:4 “He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame before Him...”
Ephesians 2:8-10 “By grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Messiah Yeshua for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
2 Timothy 1:9 “We have been saved and called with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Messiah Yeshua, before time began.”
1 Corinthians 2:7 “We speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the ages for our glory.”
Now let’s list what these amazing verses above are saying:
●We are to be “holy and without blame” in maturity!
●God “prepared for us” good works to walk in.
●We have been called to with a “holy calling” not of human works or origin, but for His purposes.
●We have been given “the hidden wisdom of God to speak.”
All of the above relates to our works and growing in maturity.
But the really amazing thing is when these things occurred: They all happened “before time began and before the foundation of the earth.”
Do you see it? It is not only our salvation which was determined by a calling before the foundation of the world, but the very works that we do!
So, He called you to maturity, not only before you were born, but before the world was born!
That should give you real security, comfort, strength, assurance, and confidence. Amazing indeed!
It’s not a hit and miss, haphazard, anything-goes situation. This is why planning your own life can be most frustrating.
Foreknowledge is a powerful thing. For example, if you need to go to a nearby town to get something, and you know the way, you can confidently jump in your car and go there. If you don’t know the way, it’s a different story. You need a road map, which will give you the foreknowledge.
People always get confused about predestination. The Bible teaches that predestination is according to God’s foreknowledge. He knew beforehand that you would choose to become a child of God, he then predestines you according to that foreknowledge.
Here we see that God’s foreknowledge of our salvation and the works we are to do, came about before the foundation of the world.
In other words, our full, mature, completion... spirit, soul, body and works are all predetermined. But we must still find that predetermined plan and walk in it.
He who does the will of God abides forever! (1 John 2:16-17) It is not so much the person that abides forever, but the person and his godly works, manifesting in eternal reward enduring forever.
A lifestyle of humility before God and repentance is most rewarding. It fixes even things we didn’t know were broken in our lives. It begins to reveal to us many wonderful things.
As a Christian, there is always a way out of our troubles. It’s called repentance. As a non-Christian there are a million ways out. They are all dead-ends!
Life itself is a gift of God because it has intrinsic, potential, eternal value locked up in it every day. Gold, silver and precious stones, symbolically, are given by God as His gift to us for our works done, led by Him, everyday. (1 Corinthians 3:12)
That’s just why long-life can be such a blessing.
Or you can just live for yourself everyday and waste your life entirely.
A total impossibility:
You cannot serve God and love the world.
It is the cross and application of it that delivers us from the world.
2 Timothy 4:10 “Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world...”
What a terrible situation! Here Demas, a disciple and follower of our Lord and of Paul, leaves him because of his love for the world. We don’t know what exactly caused the apostasy of Demas, but we most certainly know more than enough from that one short verse!
Here is the answer and requirement to move forward with our Lord in maturity:
Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified to the world and the world to me. It is no longer I that live, but Messiah, who lives in me.”
The cross stands between the world and you. The world thinks – you are dead to me, I can’t use you. And you think of the world - I am dead to it, it has nothing in me.
Do you want to be free from sin? Then die on the cross.
Romans 6:6-7 “Our old man (sin nature) was crucified with Him that that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin. He who has died has been freed from sin.”
You can’t follow our Lord, and do His will, without your cross.
The maturity counterfeit:
Jeremiah 17:5-7 Cursed is man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the Lord. He shall be like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see when good comes...Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, for he shall be like a tree planted by the waters...”
Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?”
The great Christian maturity counterfeit is trusting in self and its power. Note in the verses above that it brings a curse! Don’t brush that aside!
Filling self with Satan is ultimately unfulfilling and terribly damaging.
Paul brings out the same message in his letter to the Galatians.
Galatians 3:1-2 “O foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes, Yeshua the Messiah was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?”
Note that a cursed witchcraft spirit is within this church. It leads them away from truth, and above all, obscures the cross. They are operating in self-effort, and legalism with no faith or grace – cursed.
This is the way of the Christian masses today. It’s a cursed way...the way of darkness.
The carnal (fleshly, self orientated) mind is enmity with God. (Romans 8:7) Many people don’t get their prayer answered, even though they say they love the Lord, because they are God’s enemy!
Many people unwittingly feign maturity. They think that worldly maturity is spiritual, Christian maturity. Yet it’s all of the flesh.
So often you meet someone and immediately, red lights start flashing – red, fleshly, flashing lights! His words may all seem right, but something from within is all wrong.
Then sometimes you meet someone and there is an immediate inner witness and heart-connection, and you just know that the same spirit has been encountered.
Here are some deadly characteristics of counterfeit maturity:
●The spiritual and supernatural gets substituted for the soulish and materialistic.
●Doctrinal theology and understanding takes place of revelation.
●Psychological reasoning is substituted for discernment.
●Works are substituted for faith and power.
●Legalism takes the place of grace, faith and love.
Today, many of these things have crept into the church: Hedonism, self-gratification, indulgence in superficial enjoyment and pleasure.
True maturity can’t be counterfeited, because it comes from God and is on the far side of the cross.
Only the cross of Calvary makes you holy!
Without the cross, you can be as good as you like, all to no avail. Without the cross your maturity is a fraud, a lie and a deception.
The Pharisees could not produce one miracle, yet claimed to be good, and in touch with God! They obeyed the law, yet were stone dead in sin. They, in fact tried to kill our Lord, because He broke their Sabbath law. Their maturity was a lie.
Galatians 4:30 “Cast out the bond woman and her son. (Ishmael = the flesh, legalism) The son of the bondwoman shall not be heir...”
You can’t mature in the Lord by the works of the law, the flesh, the world or anything apart from the cross of Calvary.
The “pride of life” will get you nowhere. Be careful of the ministry that does not preach or teach on the cross and its personal application and that does not teach a lot on repentance.
Many will never mature:
●Many will never change because they don’t want to. They’re happy going nowhere.
●Many can’t change. They’re under a curse from which they need deliverance first.
●Many will never change because they are counterfeits, planted by the devil in the church.
●Many will never change because the cost of discipleship and repentance is too high for them.
●Many will never change because they are in love with the comfort and approval of the world.
Luke 6:26 “Woe to you when all men speak well of you!”
There are so many ways to a successful life. There are so many voices, so many motivational messages and ways. Most work to some degree. All fail with God.
Most people think they are born to live for themselves and that’s all they do all their lives.
The absolute pinnacle of success in the world, the desire of man, is empty when you get there!
Hebrews 5:14 “Solid food belongs to those who are full of age (mature), that is, those who have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
1 Corinthians 2:6-7 “We speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory.”
James 3:17 “The wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits without partiality and without hypocrisy.”
Characteristics of maturity:
●Maturity goes hand in hand with godly wisdom.
●Maturity means diligently seeking godly knowledge and understanding.
●Maturity means rejecting many things. It is a narrow road, not wide!
●Maturity means knowing God’s word and the author – Well.
●Maturity is stability. This includes disciplined doctrinal stability.
●Maturity is a characteristic of the trustworthy.
●Maturity in a believer is seen in being able to take criticism and rejection.
●The end result of maturity in the Lord is inner peace.
●Those who are mature in the Lord are other-worldly and have a degree of mystery about them.
●The mature will be shocked at how much hogwash they used to believe.
●The mature will be bond-slaves to our Lord and His word, in liberty and free from legalism.
●The mature have a deep love of and for truth and holiness.
●The mature in the Lord have a degree of nervousness about them, before the Lord. They are secure in their faith, but the nearer you get to God the more in awe of Him you become, and realise how totally helpless you are and dependant on Him.
●The mature develop a deep love and appreciation for all living things. Wherever there is God-created life, they will be amazed, and not just at red setters (dogs). The mature will be in awe of and celebrate God’s magnificent creation.
●The mature will have a deeply rooted, broad kingdom vision, as opposed to a local institutional church vision. The local church, is of course part of the entire kingdom view.
Scars of maturity:
I’m a wildlife freak, and a tree-hugger, with a passion for God’s creation. Here in Southern Africa, you can tell how mature a lion is with one glance. His face will be full of scars from fights. He may have a limp; his colour is fading, his skin is deeply scarred and marred with permanent blood stains.
When he looks at you, you shudder! When he roars, you are riveted!
Beloved brethren, don’t fear the scars of maturity. They mean that you are a glorious survivor and have learned a great deal. You have beaten the devil, the world system and even your own flesh!
If you think you won’t get scarred as you mature, perhaps you better go to sleep now for the rest of your life.
Satan makes you stupid. He blinds you. He makes you proud and prevents you from growing and maturing in the Lord.
If pride blocks your growth and makes you obnoxious, then humility opens you to growth and makes you wise. Humility and repentance are the ingredients for metamorphosis.
God has a predetermined plan for you to walk in. You are called to maturity.
If the Lord does not come soon, your end-time...your death is coming. The instant our Lord comes for us in rapture or death, it’s all over. Your maturity, or lack of it, is eternally set! Think about that for a while. Pray about it. It’s true.
You see, salvation is wonderful, but there is much more to it. You don’t want to step into eternity and see all the great things that God had planned for you before the foundation of the world, go up in smoke, because you were a turkey all your life.

Edition 405: February 20th 2018
The demise of false prophets:
This edition is about the demise of false prophets and false teachers, primarily within the church. By false prophets, I also mean false watchmen of prophetic things.
Today many churches are closing down. At the same time many believers are falling away.
Those falling, are primarily from the non-Sprit filled churches, and in the west.
Yet, false prophets and teachers are increasing dramatically. Their demise is coming! It’s a good idea to know about the final end of false prophets and teachers!
The curtain is about to go up on the greatest drama ever! Here is our key verse:
Ezekiel 12:24-28 “No more shall there be any false vision or flattering divination within the house of Israel. I, the Lord speak and the words which I speak come to pass...None of My words shall be postponed any more, but the word which I speak will be done, says the Lord God...Prophesy against the prophets of Israel who prophesy out of their own heart and spirit and have seen nothing...They have envisaged futility, saying ‘thus says the Lord!’But the Lord has not sent them; yet they hope that their word may be confirmed.”
The verse above is extremely instructive. It is saying:
●False prophets, teachers and those whose source is false visions, will soon end.
●If the Lord is speaking – it will come to pass.
●If the Lord is not in it, it will fail and not come to pass.
●It says that false prophets and teachers look for confirmation and agreement wherever they can find it. This would include in and out of the church, in dreams and visions, in the constellations, and among their own followers. But it’s all futile.
The Bible speaks of the “Spirit of truth” and “the spirit of error.” Truth and error, especially in terms of all things biblical, are a result of the manifestation of spirits. (1 John 4:6, Ephesians 6:12)
We absolutely need the ministry of teaching and prophecy, because of their vital, direction-giving leading. Satan tries to sow confusion into it all.
The nature of the false prophet and teacher:
False prophecies and teachings all originate in a false spirit, but come in through pride.
Pride blinds you. It also blinds you to pride in others. Pride food in which error grows.
Pride always blocks revelation from God. You are left with your own understanding. If you are full of pride, your revelation is from yourself and your own mind, sourced in error.
The Spirit of error always hides in camouflage. It masquerades as light and truth!
Pride is a terribly, sneaky, dangerous thing. It was the source of Lucifer’s fall, Adam’s fall and untold billions of others. Pride in Bible teachers and prophets is deadly!
The mouth of the teacher will find him out. The false teachers talk about themselves far too much. Too many of them are “called” by their ego, pride, and desire for self-importance. They’re imposters.
You need that spiritual gift called discernment of spirits, and the “still small voice” inside you to let you know with whom you are safe. Likewise a little voice will let you know when an individual is to be avoided like the plague.
2 Timothy 2:18 (Disapproved worker) “They have strayed concerning the truth, saying that that resurrection is past and they overthrow the faith of some.”
Please note in the verse above, that disapproved workers overthrow the faith of some, particularly the weak!
The false prophet or teacher claims to speak with divine authority. They often call on their small group of sectarian supporters to confirm their “truth” which, in reality, is error!
Those within the grip of a false prophet or teacher always think they are better than others and above others in the body of Messiah. They look down on those not in their camp.
The damage they do:
False prophets and false teachers give you a ●false sense of security. They give you a ●false vision, a ●false hope and a ●false expectation. They give you ●distorted, misleading views, which are always at odds with other established doctrines. ●They give you untruth!
False teachings, because they are all of the spirit of error, have destructive power locked up in them. People take what they say and believe it and act on it.
The intention of the spirit of error is to sidetrack you, injure you and bring you down.
There is special condemnation in the Bible for those who capitalise on, or injure the weak and gullible. Their demise will be great.
Proverbs 14:15 “The simple (gullible) believes every word, but the prudent man considers well his steps.”
You can and must “demise” false teachers out of your life now! When you identify them, under the leading of the Spirit – get them out of your life. If you don’t, when you receive them, and accept them, you are coming under their spirit.
Beloved brethren, the “transfer of spirits” is a dangerous reality. Be on your guard. I’ve seen it more times than you can imagine.
Bear in mind that it’s easy to fall for a false teaching, but it’s far more difficult to get out of it once you’re in!
Too many today make great error their friends, and wonder why they keep falling into the error- trap. They can’t get free from the underlying attraction of the spirit of error because God will not set you free from your friends. You must make error your enemy.
You must identify and correctly name a false doctrine, as sin!
False prophets and teachers are doing enormous damage to many in the body of Messiah. When people get duped they get trapped, hoodwinked and their growth gets stunted. This then affects their eternal reward, as accurate growth in Messiah has great reward itself.
Jeremiah 5:25-26 “Your iniquities (errors included) have turned these things away, and your sins have withheld good things from you. Among My people are found wicked men; they lie in wait as one who sets snares; they set a trap to catch men.”
Ezekiel 13:18-23 “...Will you hunt the souls of My people and keep yourselves alive?...With your lies you have made the souls of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and you have strengthened the hand of the wicked....I will deliver My people out of your hand and you shall know that I am the Lord.”
Isaiah 9:16 “The prophet who teaches lies, he is the tail. For the leaders of this people cause them to err, and those who are led by them are destroyed.”
Do not fail to read the verses above!! I’ll say it again: Do read these three verses above!
If we (rightly) apply these verses above to the sin of false doctrine and prophecy, note what occurs: ●They set a trap to catch you. ●They strengthen the hand of Satan and his crowd. ●The people are led to destruction by the teacher.
The power of repentance:
You must be doctrinally clean and clean in heart.
We are all called to an increasingly deeper walk with our Lord. False prophets and teachers damage that. They hinder and oppress and obstruct your growth, throwing obstacles in your path.
Most times, false teachers and prophets won’t repent, which is why they get themselves more deeply entrenched in their error, or produce new and more dangerous errors.
A true, safe teacher or prophet may miss it sometimes, but a chief characteristic, is that they will be quick to repent and correct things.
Many teachers are not interested in years and years of diligent study of the scriptures and monumental efforts to know God deeply. They just want to know a few cherry-picked, fancy verses to impress others with. They are the ultimate, shallow, man-pleasers.
Jeremiah 5:31 “The prophets prophesy falsely and the priest rule by their own power; and My people love to have it so, but what will you do in the end?”
There is a sifting on the go right now ahead of the great shaking to come. Many teachers are being exposed as false. It is good and right that people see and know who they can trust in the critical days to come.
Beloved brethren, repentance is a wonderful thing for each of us personally. It is powerful on a national scale. It is clearly evident as a most welcome fruit in the lives of many teachers.
The lack of a walk of repentance leads to a walk of pride and much destruction.
Jeremiah 12:10 “Many rulers (Lit=shepherds) have destroyed My vineyard, they have trodden My portion underfoot; they have made My pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.”
God’s word is the final perfect and sufficient revelation. We must not go outside of it for revelation.
You need to learn how to hate with godly hatred! (I see you raising your eyebrows!)
That does not mean going around hating people when you should be walking in love. But have a look at the following shocking verses, and note just what they’re saying:
Proverbs 8:13 “The fear of the Lord is to hate sin, pride, arrogance and every evil way.”
Psalm 97:10 “Hate evil you who love the Lord.”
Amos 5:15 “Hate evil and love good (holiness).”
Psalm 119:104 “From your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every evil way.”
Do you hate with perfect hatred, sin, arrogance, pride, evil and the wickedness of the devil?
It’s not fashionable in this modern, era with its globalist accept-everything agenda to hate anything, except God and His truth that is! But how wrong they are and will soon all be exposed as wrong, wrong, wrong!
Loving God gives you correctly placed hatred. It makes you secure, holy and passionate.
Generally, when people come looking for answers they don’t want to get deception. They want the truth.
Does the doctrine presented produce the correct fruits of the Spirit and growth in that disciple? Does it lead to legalism and pride? Does it lead to right living?
We must, in this day be relevant to this day, without changing the truth. When helping others we must warn of the false teachers and false prophets who are all around today, and their main characteristics, some of which are - failed predictions, legalism, secret pride, control.
2 Peter 2:1-3 “There were false prophets among the people even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who brought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of who the way of truth will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words...”
Don’t be a fool and fall those who have a 100% proven track record of failed predictions. That alone should tell you plenty.
The internet and YouTube specifically, is a playground of dangerous deceivers, and many charlatans. Yes there is excellent material there too. Bear in mind that truth and error travel the same highway.
Today, spiritual deception is much more dangerous than before. People have a greater vulnerability to deception, because of their spiritual shallowness.
Speaking, listening to, or reading Christian material has an authority behind it. That’s where the danger lies. “Did you hear what he said?” “Have you read this?” “Have you seen this?” People put value and recognition on what people say, especially teachers.
We must be careful in these dangerous days not to add to and confound the problems that people have. Pure undefiled truth is always safe, but it must be rightly divided and applied. (2 Timothy 2:15)
Progression of a false teacher to cult-status:
Because of the massive spiritual deceptions that are about to hit this world, we must know how to identify and deal with false teachers and prophets. Some will go no further than superficial error. Some will go no further than sect-status, and then repent, but some will become cults.
The progression is: ●Error> ●False doctrine> ●Sect> ●Cult.
The journey of error is towards hell.
Cult-like leaders and most of their subjects go wrong with a simple error. Because they don’t see it, or won’t repent, it leads to a cross-over point and a slippery slope to cult-status, where they can’t get out – they’re trapped.
Most times we see repeating patterns evident in the formation of a cult leader:
The leader separates himself from others and becomes exclusive and secretive. They exhibit no humility, lots of pride and they have no fear of the Lord in them. They talk about themselves all the time. You will seldom hear them teach on the cross. They begin by mixing truth and error but end up in total error.
Teachers on the way to becoming cult leaders often have a superiority complex and think everyone owes them respect and support. They sometimes have deep psychological problems of rejection and try to gain acceptance by using manipulation.
They make their hobby-horse doctrine an idol. They then surround the idol with the “protection” of legalism, which is witchcraft or wizardry in action.
Micah 3:5-7 (Amp) “Thus says the Lord concerning the false prophets who make My people err, who when they have anything good to bite on, cry ‘Peace.’ And whoever gives them nothing to chew; against them they declare a sanctified war. Therefore it shall be night to you, and you shall have no vision, yes it shall be dark to you without divination (comprehension) and the sun shall go down over the false prophets. The seers (prophets) shall be put to shame and they shall be confounded; Yes they shall cover their lips, for there is no answer from God.”
Please take note of this extremely powerful verse above!
At some point these people come under a curse and from then on they are even more deeply trapped and they bring others into that terrible grip as well.
Most people are lured into the occult by wanting knowledge of the future. Because Satan’s kingdom is of darkness, you don’t know where you are, just like the verse says above.
God’s kingdom is of light! You will always know where you are and where you are going!
1 Samuel 15:23 “To obey is better than sacrifice...For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness as the iniquity of idolatry.”
Many make idols of their own opinions stubbornly. “Stubbornness is as idolatry.”
If you have been involved in the occult or a cult or even a sect and have seen the light and come out of it, well done, well done! But don’t go back anywhere near it. It has long menacing invisible tentacles and it will trap you again.
2 Peter 2:20 “After they have escaped the corruption that is in the world, through the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Yeshua, the Messiah, and they are again entangled in them, and overcome, the latter end for them is worse than the beginning.”
Luke 11:26 “The unclean spirit goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state is worse than the first.”
The Bible speaks in numerous places about the coming demise of false prophets and teachers. Even teachers, who are okay, will receive a “stricter judgement”. There are so many warnings given against those who lead God’s people astray – it is shocking.
We need to separate ourselves from them. Leave them, let them go their way, but don’t let them take you with them!
Jeremiah 14:15 “Thus says the Lord, concerning the prophets who prophecy in My name, whom I did not send, and who say, ‘sword and famine shall not be in this land’ – By the sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed.’”
The total, utter judgement and casting into hell of false teachers and prophets is spoken of succinctly in 2 Peter 2:4-11.
The judgement of God is upon all false teachers and prophets. Not only are their words not of God. God is against them!
Ezekiel 13:8-9 “The Lord says: ‘because you have spoken nonsense and envisaged lies, therefore I am indeed against you. My hand will be against the prophets who envisage futility...’”
The judgement and demise of the false prophets and teachers is so sever in the Bible, because of the damage done to many others.
●It is a frightening, weighty, gravity-filled thing to be in a position to influence God’s people!
Personally, my own prayer time is varied, but I pray twice a day on this very issue and do have others praying for me and The Prophetic Scroll every day as well.
“No more shall there be any false vision or flattering divination”, says our title verse. Yes, deception will continue, but you don’t need to be subject to it. God has given you the spiritual equipment to know and avoid it all now.
John 18:37 “...Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”
John 8:32 “You shall know the truth and truth shall make you free.”
The true teacher or prophet doesn’t always get it right. The false, always gets it wrong even if he is right! The false is essentially a wrong person.
Most importantly, not everyone who you don’t agree with, or just don’t like is a false teacher.
We are about to be thrust into the greatest drama of all time. Exciting times lie just ahead. Severe and dangerous times too!

Edition 404: February 13th 2018
The leopard’s spots:
The leopard can’t change its spots! (Jeremiah 13:23)
2 Peter 3:14 “Be diligent to be found by Him in peace without spot and blemish.”
“The glorious church will have no spots or wrinkles, and be holy.” (Ephesians 5:27)
“Spots,” represent sin, unrighteousness, evil, error and the like.
The word “Spots” is Strong’s G4694, “Spilas.” Meanings: “Hidden rocks in the sea.” Or “Conduct causing wrecked morality”.
Spots in our lives then, are like rocks just below the surface of the waves. You’re not aware of them until you end up damaged! Many times people get so accustomed to their spots that they don’t even see them as a very real danger.
But there’s another side to this story: As we move closer and closer to the entire end-time storm, so more and more rocks just appear right out of the water. Or we could say that suddenly we become inundated with spots!
Like a leopard, we all have spots. We are pure and holy in spirit, through the new-birth, but spots dwell in our soul, thought-life and body. Can we get rid of them? Jeremiah says the leopard can’t change his spots!
The answer is a bit complicated! Here it is: No we can’t, yes we can, and yes we must!
The plum line, the wall and the whitewash:
Amos 7:8-9 “The Lord said to Amos, ‘What do you see? And I said ‘a plumb line.’ Then the Lord said: ‘Behold I am setting a plumb line in the midst of My people Israel; I will not pass by them anymore.’”
A plum line is used by builders to build a straight and accurate wall. In type, it is God’s word of accuracy, holiness and righteousness.
Ezekiel 13:10-11 (To the false prophets) “Because they have seduced My people saying ‘peace!’ when there is no peace, and one builds a boundary wall, and they plaster it with untempered mortar (whitewash)- sayto those who plaster it with untempered mortar, that it will fall down...”
Untempered mortar is cement made with an incorrect mixture, making it weak. It is also the same original word for “whitewash.” (Ezekiel 13:11)
This whitewash is the masks of superficiality that people build up around themselves. They try to hide the fact that they were not built with a plum line. God will bring it all down.
There is a shocking vision revealed in Ezekiel 8:7-18. Ezekiel is brought by God to a wall with a hole in it, and a door. He is told to go inside, which he does. He is take note of all the abominations and idolatry being done, hidden behind this wall. He then goes deeper in and sees even worse abominations. He goes further in and approaches a door into the temple, and he sees people worshipping the sun. God then says to Ezekiel that He will act in His “fury and anger” towards all these things. He will “have no pity on them” and “will not hear their cry for mercy”!
We’ve seen a consistency in the analogies, I’ve used so far:
We’ve seen hidden rocks under the waves, whitewash or a veneer of untempered mortar. We’ve seen a wall with a hole in it and a door. The consistency lies in the fact that what happens in these places is hidden. It is in the deep, dark recesses of people’s lives, out of view and sight.
The analogies refer to hidden sin or spots that are the cause of “shipwreck.”
We have also seen the plumb line of God, which if used by the believer, would have eliminated all the hidden sins – the spots!
We must break down the door to the inner courts of our own lives, and get rid of all that is offensive to our Lord. If we don’t do it, He will at a future time – our reward time! Many will regret that they cleaved onto their spots, now going up in flames.
Ask yourself these questions, now before the Lord comes:
●Do you have an all consuming desire to have a life honourable to God? ●Do you really desire His holiness? ●Do you desire to be cleansed and reconstructed by the cross? ●Do really desire to advance and move forward with our Lord and do you desire that for others? ●Has sin, Satan and his demons lost their power in you? ●Has the attraction of the world died to you? ●What consumes your thoughts? ●What do you do with off-time, leisure time and what do you spend money on? ●What friends do you keep? ●Where do you go when no one is looking? ●Do you have a keen sense of humour, but clean?
Isaiah 30:15 “In returning (repentance) and rest, you will be saved. In quietness and confidence shall be your strength, but you would not.”
Proverbs 28:26 (Amp) “He who leans on and trusts confidently in his own heart and mind, is a self-confident fool, but he who walks with skilful, godly wisdom, will be delivered.”
The spot remover:
It all begins with your thoughts, your words, your confessions, your beliefs and spiritual gifts.
So, let’s break this down:
All spots (sins) begin in the thought realm. You can change your thinking. The Bible says: “Cast down thoughts that exalt against the knowledge of God.” (2 Corinthians 10:5)The Bible says: “Think on these things...” (Philippians 4:8)
That’s where we begin the spot removal process. Thoughts then, become actions and words either evil or holy. This is all based on our belief system – our plum line!
But now we have a problem! Many times, (and I mean many) a person’s spots are a result of demon activity. You can’t deal with demons the same way you do other things. You can’t repent and expect a demon to leave you. You can’t cast out the flesh nature, but you can cast out a demon.
You must accurately identify the source of your sin or problems to be dealt with.
You need specific, spiritual weapons to detect and then defeat demons and cast them out.
This is a huge subject, but briefly, here is a list of some of the main characteristics of demons:
Demons ●entice, ●compel, ●enslave, ● harass, ●defile, ●torment, ●deceive, ●make sick, ●kill, and ●destroy. They cause a ●spirit of slumber, ●they make people ignorant, blind and stupid. ●They cause rebellion and fear. ●They always operate through witchcraft and the occult, bringing curses. ●They keep you from the cross.
Not every one of these is a result of demon activity.
Once you have identified demon activity, with your spiritual gifts, then you need to use your spiritual weapons to bind their works and throw them out. Sorry, if you don’t believe in the gifts of the Spirit, you can’t be helped.
If you don’t have a supercharged spot-remover you are stuck with a bit more than a spotty face! You will never get rid of your spots. O yes, you can get rid of some, superficially, but they will be back tomorrow, bigger and worse!
You can also change your spots for another group of spots. You can paint over your spots, with whitewash, but you can’t get rid of them in your strength...Jeremiah said so!
Your thinking can and must change. Here is a terrible example of someone who won’t, or can’t change his spots:
Hebrews 12:15 “Be careful, lest anyone fall short of the grace of God and a root of bitterness springs up causing trouble and many are defiled.”
Sink or swim:
►As we move closer to the rapture, the tribulation and all the end-time dramas, a dramatic increase in spiritual and supernatural activity will take place. I will be sharing with you a lot more on this subject. It is relevant now, but it will soon blast onto the stage and overwhelm all the unprepared.
The Bible teaches that a great many will be swept away by evil forces in these days.
This is not the time to try and be clever in your own strength, avoiding the supernatural!
When you hit a hidden submerged rock that “spot” can sink you! You can swim away to calm waters. But please remember that in most cases you need to swim against the flow of the tide, which is towards hell.
1 Timothy 1:19 “Wage the good warfare, having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck.”
Note again, our second key verse for this edition: “The true, glorious church will have no spots or wrinkles or any such thing.” Do you think that would be there if it was impossible? It’s not impossible even in this day. Yes it is very rare today, but it’s quite possible.
The Bible presents us with a seemingly impossible verse: “Be perfect, as your Father in heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48)
Some people say that this just means, ‘be mature’. Well it says be perfect as your Father is! That is the comparison. Can you do it? Yes you can. When you give our Lord full unrestrained access to every area of your life, and you open yourself to His spiritual power – wonderful things happen.
But don’t compare yourself to other believers, churches or ministries, especially on YouTube! Navigating around YouTube and ministries on the Internet is like sailing through a rocky coastline in a storm.
Your standard of comparison is the holiness of God! You can’t say to God – “others are like this too”.
As you stand before the Lord on your judgement day, the voice of your reasoning will be silenced. You will have no friends to defend you. All voices of all descriptions will be silent before the living God. It’s wise to be silent before God now in your preparation to stand before him.
Beloved brethren, growth in grace sees the coming of the Lord, Satan, heaven and hell. Today many believe that God loves them so much they have nothing to fear. Their pulpit-wolves are rocking their cradle, keeping them asleep.
The problem with worldliness in all its forms, especially in the church, is that it has a veneer of attraction to it, and people suck it in, not realising that they are consuming poison, which blinds their eyes. They accept the world and its sin and then love it more and more.
Today, many Christians don’t get their prayer answered because it’s a worldly abomination to God!
The way of the world:
What people are not aware of is how far the world has moved from the word. The further you move from God the darker you become spiritually. Your life is full of hidden sin in the dark. Society today is totally in the darkness with growing sin. Darkness is the food on which sin grows and thrives.
In the dark, the unbeliever can’t see that even his good is sin.
Today, even music is a reflection of a world of darkness and sin. By the way, music is made up of melody, rhythm and beat. That must be the order of the strength, priority and participation of each of those elements. When beat or rhythm takes pre-eminence, it all goes wrong.
There is a wonderful teaching out there on the true, holy make-up of music, based on the Psalms.
Satan and his world is making sin more and more acceptable in the darkness, particularly through music and the entertainment world.
World economics are out of order, and not what they should be. This has occurred gradually since the world left the gold-standard. That standard brought some consistency and stability to world economics. In a sense the gold-standard was like the God-standard for the whole world.
There was a time not too long ago when many nations were under God in the sense that they recognised that God and the Ten Commandments were above their nation’s constitution, and the values and virtues of mankind.
The world is changing and getting worse fast, but the kingdom of God is the same - stable and holy.
The depths of the depravity of modern man are so shocking. The degree of spiritual ignorance is just as shocking.
Proverbs 28:4 “Those who forsake the law (word) praise the wicked, but such as keep the law, contend (angrily) with them.”If you forsake the word you will praise the wicked.
Psalm 119:53-54 “Indignation (Lit=horror) has taken hold of me because of the wicked, who forsake Your law. You statutes have been my songs.”
Can you agree with that verse? Are you horrified at the world today? If not, you need to get saved!
You can and must change your thinking. If you don’t you will be following Lucifer pretty soon as he exalted himself. But note his end!
Isaiah 14:13-15 “Lucifer: I will ascend into heaven. I will exalt my throne above the stars of God. I will also sit on the mount of the congregation. I will ascend above the clouds. I will be like the Most High, yet you shall be brought down to hell.”
See how Lucifer’s self exaltation spread:
Genesis 3:2 “The woman said to the serpent, ‘We will eat of the fruit of the trees...’”
Obadiah 1:3 “The pride of your heart has deceived you...”
Psalm 10:4 “The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of His thoughts.”
The second law of thermo-dynamics states that everything runs down, morality too! Why does everything run down – because Satan is around! Well, that won’t be for much longer and then that law will eternally change!
►If holiness is the “righteous acts of the saints” then the unrighteous acts of sin are the commodity of the unsaved. If holiness is a commodity and is required for the kingdom of God, then sin is the commodity required for the world.
James 1:27 “Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.”
The way to victory:
1 Timothy 6:11-14 “Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith...Keep this commandment without spot and be blameless until our Lord’s appearing.”
Job 11:13-15 “If you would prepare your heart, and stretch out your hands to Him, if you put far away your iniquity, and let not wickedness dwell in your tents; then surely you could lift up your face without spot and you could be steadfast with no fear.”
The New-birth is the great instant spot remover for the spirit-man. The cross is the spot-remover for the soul.
It is the cross that breaks you and remakes you – right with God. Brokenness makes you whole. The devil’s brokenness puts you in a hole.
The verse below is one of my favourites. It is filled with such wonder and power:
2 Peter 1:2-4 “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of Yeshua the Messiah, as His divine power has given to us to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him, who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” Verse 10 “If you do these things, you will never stumble or fall!”
God has provided everything we need for life, but few know it or grasp it – to their own detriment.
Hebrews 10:22 (Amp) “Let us draw near with true hearts in unqualified assurance and absolute conviction, trust and confidence in His power and wisdom, having our hearts sprinkled and purified from a guilty evil conscience...”
In these days, on our journey to victory we have to avoid the hidden rocks under the waves, but unfortunately we also have to avoid a fast growing chorus of false teachers, led by evil spirits!
Know your teacher! Know the fruits he exhibits. Know his rightness or wrongness on many issues. Does he intimidate or use manipulation. Is he a testimony of stability and holiness?
Is he a legalist? Does he have a track-record of doctrinal accuracy? Does he know well and preach and teach the entire doctrine of Messiah? (Hebrews 6:1-2)
2 Peter 2:12-13 “These (false teachers)like brute beasts, made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things they do not understand and will utterly perish in their own corruption, and will receive the wages of unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure to carouse in the daytime. They are spots, and blemishes, carousing in their own deceptions while they feast with you.”
Error is on a journey to cult-hood and ultimately - hell. Many teachers are at the helm of this doomed ship!
I tell you, in this day there are many teachers out there you want to flee from otherwise you will pick up fleas!
►Beware the blind prophecy teachers and watchers – you will know them by their failures.
A leopard with no spots is an odd creature! Are you odd and strange? You had better be in this day!
Are you ready for eternity? Spots are flammable! They will go up in smoke! (1 Corinthians 3:15)
Remember this: Holiness lasts forever. Sin has a short time stamp on it. Holiness is a choice. There is no such thing as sanctified sin!
Remember this: True peace in spotty sin is impossible!
I took these pictures of lichen on a rock and superimposed the tree at sunset over it and added the feather.
Shalom and grow in His Grace!

How to be a radical Christian:
Matthew 3:10 “The axe is laid to the root of the tree.”
In Latin the word “root” is the word “radix” which also mean radical! It means getting to the very deep root and heart of things. The axe, beloved brethren, is your personal cross which you use daily. The tree is your self-life and connection to the world!
A radical Christian is a dead Christian! These are the words of life!
Compromised, shallow, half-baked, spineless, worldly Christians are the order of this day. Don’t be one them. It will cost you dearly and you will forever regret it.
Satan wants you! He wants to swindle you out of your place, calling and coming reward. He wants to entrap you, ensnare you and entangle you in his evil web, which he makes appear to be so inviting.
Satanic end-time pressure is increasing and intensifying. Now is the time to be radical, or risk being swept away by the invisible forces of mediocrity today.
The deeper and more established the roots of a tree are, the more difficult it is to take that tree out. Deeply rooted Christians are a tower of stability, endurance and safety.
If you compare yourself to today’s standards, you will soon see that “deep” is easy because modern Christianity is so shallow.
Don’t compare yourself with the world or the average Christian today! (2 Corinthians 10:12)
Beloved brethren, we are close to the rapture of the church. We are close to stepping into eternity with no way back (not that we would want to come back!) We are close to the last stroke of the pen being written in our book of eternal reward.
This edition is not about dates, or signs of the times. It is about your heart and your last chance to have God write good things in your book!
Proverbs 12:3 “A man is not established by wickedness, but the root of the righteous cannot be moved.”
Proverbs 12:12 “...The root of the righteous yields fruit.”
When a fruit is picked from its life source and root in God - the tree, corruption begins. Guard and nourish your spiritual roots.
How do we become radical today?
Proverbs 16:3-4 (Amp) “Commit and trust your works to the Lord, and He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and so shall your plans be established and succeed. The Lord has made everything to accommodate and contribute to its own end and His purpose...”
●Firstly, we become radical by faith. ●It comes by the desire to be a radical. ●It comes by the decision to pay the price. (This is very costly.)
●It means embracing and learning all about the “fear of the Lord.” You will never advance further than the elementary, basics of Christianity without the fear of the Lord.
●It means being brave and breaking out of much traditional thinking and believing.
●We must embrace the “goodness and severity” of God and the “hard sayings.”
●The radical must study the word of God till blue in the face, and must be well read especially with the old-school discipleship teachers who were mostly hell-fire preachers.
●The radical must be totally dependent upon our Lord and His Spirit at all times and must always draw from those deep waters.
●The radical must be aware of the big errors of the day, so that he can avoid them.
The ones who will rarely become radical in the things of God are those who have had little or no discipline growing up. (Proverbs 23:14)
Understand the working of sin and the cross:
The shed blood of Messiah deals with and cleanses us from sin, while the cross deals with who we are and slays us.
We can have our sins removed and cleansed by the blood, but still have no peace because self is still alive and won’t pick up that cross! That produces a war in our hearts. We must apply both the blood and the cross correctly to have deep inner peace.
It is only as the blood deals with sin, and the cross deals with the sinner, do we experience resurrection life. Our old life ends with death and our new life begins with resurrection life.
Salvation and all it entails is really our departure from this world. It is done! We are just waiting for the final manifestation of it.
Salvation does not reform us and make us better people. It kills us and starts again with “one new man.” (Ephesians 2:15) You don’t put your hand up and now you’re saved! That is only part of the process. When you get saved, God is asking you to receive His death and resurrection and to come and die on a cross daily!
The tragedy today is far too many churches are teaching their flock to be better people! “You can do it – yes you can”! That is the way to fit in neatly with the world and to love the world more. That concept is totally foreign to the true gospel.
When sin and temptation comes along, we are to “reckon ourselves dead to sin.” You see, we have already died and been given a new life. We need the revelation of it and its power. That word “reckon” means: To account, deem, judge, and to “number among.”
Romans 6:6-11 “Know (with revelation knowledge) that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin may be done away with, for he who has died has been freed from sin...Likewise you also reckon yourselves to be dead unto sin and alive to God in Yeshua the Messiah.”
This “reckoning” only comes by deep revelation of the Spirit. Let me say it again: We need the revelation of our co-death and resurrection, before we can even begin to be successful.
God’s way is to make us weaker unto death, and then we arise to live a new type of life.
We have been made holy and desire more holiness, because it is part of the essence of the life of God, which now works in us.
Perhaps the two greatest revelations we as Christians can have is that our sins have been removed and we are dead – killed on a cross!
Imagine going to an undertaker and ordering a tombstone with the words: “Here is Joel – killed on a cross...Now more alive than ever!” Then when it is done having it delivered to, and erected next to the front door! That would confuse the neighbours!
The radical Christian is a dead Christian! Your epitaph is: “Not I but Messiah.” (Galatians 2:20)
The cross is the radical, great destroyer, while resurrection is the greatest positive, life-giving thing imaginable.
Self - confidence is an esteemed worldly attribute to be aspired to. Self - confidence, beloved brethren is for fools, the proud and arrogant.
If self must go to the cross to die, (Galatians 2:20) can you see why the unsaved who reject the cross are in such trouble?
The radical Christian is the one who stands securely and endures. He has the scars, marks and blood-stains of a violent death on a cross all over him! He now stands, resurrected, in glory.
Being radical makes you restrained doctrinally. It helps you put the brakes on when all sorts of doctrinal rubbish is around. A true radical for our Lord is one who is cuffed, shackled and imprisoned by truth and doctrine, by the Spirit – just as Paul was. (Ephesians 3:1, Philemon 1:1)
This is real freedom and liberty!
The world can try all it likes to suck you into its hell on earth, and hell to come. It can tempt you, entice you and give you all sorts of arguments why it knows better.
►There are no more arguments from hell!
Remember the terrifying cry from hell:
Luke 16:24-30 “Please may he dip just the tip of his finger in water to cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this flame...No, besides, there is an impassable gulf fixed between us. I beg you then warn my family so that they will not also come to this place of torment...No, even if they were to see one rise from the dead, they will not repent.”
The radical journey:
The seven feasts of the Lord are grouped into three in the Bible. They are Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles. The others fit in between as normal. Amazingly, and apart from their regular meanings, these three represent the journey of the radical Christian.
We go from Passover, which is symbolic of the cross and initial salvation, to Pentecost, which represents the coming, empowering and filling with the Spirit. Don’t stop there! We then get to Tabernacles, which represents our deep experience of living in close fellowship with our Lord.
To get to Tabernacles we must go through the previous feasts experientially.
You can never get to the destination if you leave out either of two previous experiences.
Do you see why it is such blasphemy to replace Passover with Easter, the Catholic convocation glorifying sex with temple whores in Babylon? (Look it up!)
Have you ever wondered why many of the churches and their believers, who reject the fullness of the Spirit never get to that place of deep inner peace in the presence of our Lord? It’s because, they’ve rejected the fullness of Pentecost and the baptism in the Spirit.
If you surrender to God’s way, things will work for you!
We need to go the way of the cross, and the baptism in the Spirit to get to the experience of Tabernacles.
In fact, part of this incredible journey begins before the cross in a garden called Gethsemane! This is where our battle of decision takes place. Do we decide to go the way of the cross? Or do we back out? Gethsemane comes before Golgotha!
Then when we get to the cross, we want to run back to Gethsemane and change our choice!
Adam had a similar battle in a garden! He yielded to the devil. Jacob had a similar battle with the Angel of the Lord at a place God re-named Peniel, which means “I have seen God and now live.” (Genesis 32:30)
But the Bible says “no man can see God and live.” That means that Jacob’s wrestling experience was in fact his “death” experience.
Jacob was forever changed by that encounter. God “touched” the socket of his hip and walked with a limp the rest of his days – a reminder that’s it’s not so clever to fight God!
Moses had an encounter with God which left him temporarily blind with a face that shone like the sun. (Exodus 34:35
Paul the apostle had an encounter with the risen Lord and feel to the ground being left blind for a short time.
To the hungry radical – Even the bitter is sweet, when it’s all from God! (Proverbs 27:7)
We are called to the depths of experience with God. “Deep calls unto deep”. (Psalm 42:7)
The radical has learned the lesson: “Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
Standing with Israel:
The radical Christian will be radical in all his ways with all of the word! He will be pro God’s choice for Israel, Jerusalem and the Jews. He will stand for them and against those who come against Israel.
The opposite of a radical Christian:
The non-radical Christian will be average, ordinary, worldly, superficial, empty, and half-baked.
His believing will be shallow, skin-deep, and depthless. He will not endure when the pressure is on.
He will retreat, run-away, surrender and yield to the world. He will be “disapproved unto God.” (2 Timothy 2:15)
He will get to Gethsemane, turn and flee for Hollywood.
The non-radical will be moved and swayed by every opinion out there. They will be swallowed by “every wind of doctrine.” (Ephesians 4:14)
This is happening right now with many, some I know personally.
They will think people who repeatedly see meaningless signs in the sky are in tune with God. They will repeatedly fall for error over and over again. They will never advance in the deep things of God.
Some are blind to the curses they’ve come under. Are you aware that certain doctrinal beliefs bring curses with them and trap you?
Compromise will take the pressure off. Satan won’t bother a person who has given up.
The self-led Christian is no different to the world. They will be tossed around with every new Christian fad, backed by terrible music, manufactured in hell!
So many Christian lives are a shallow sham. They are dull, dark, dumb and boring. They have no spiritual conversation! Colossians 4:5-6
►If you seek the Lord and are unwilling to repent or change, you will not find Him. You are looking where He is not! You will find a god of your own creation though.
In all of this, like the famous prodigal son, God’s hand of forgiveness will always be outstretched to them, desiring them to come back quickly. Many will in these last days.
The testimony of the radical:
2 Corinthians 3:2 (Amp) “You yourselves are our letter of recommendation, written in your hearts, to be perceived, known and read by everyone. You show that you are a letter from Messiah, delivered by us, not written with ink but by the Spirit of the living God.”
Beloved brethren, you are a living epistle, read by many!
The unsaved must be fascinated with you as a radical believer. They must really wonder what makes you tick. They know deep down that you have Someone who is living deep in your heart, but they can’t comprehend it.
The world must also hate you. The devil in them must recognise God in you, and that you are untouchable and unreachable by him and his demons. Some will hate you, some will love you and most will think you’re crazy.
But, I tell you this, the unsaved will change their tune, and come running to you when their world starts shaking and falling! When the pressure is on, you will be their stability...and you must be.
Your life needs to show them up. Your life needs to speak to them, notifying them that have been big turkeys. You don’t need to tell them that, but your life will if it is right with God!
You must realise that your life, if properly broken by God, will emit and radiate a beautiful “aroma” which is the Spirit of the living God. It will be infectious and contagious affecting those around you with God’s own Spirit.
The effects of the poison in the unbeliever, and the sick, epidemic of sin, evil, wickedness, demons and devils will be silenced or at least impacted and forced to retreat.
►A few words spoken by a Spirit-led, deep radical believer has greater power than millions of worldly words, no matter how wise!
As a true radical believer, you are of extreme, immeasurable value to our Lord and His kingdom. To be honest, the ordinary, average Christian today is of more value to the devil and his world than the kingdom of God.
The radial believer is a rare, great and powerful testimony, and a very real help to others in time of trouble and need.
His self-confidence is gone to the cross, and now he is strong in God. He has an air of mystery to him – the very mystery of God. He now has the confidence of God and is ready to distribute God’s life to others. (2 Corinthians 5:15)
You must be known for your testimony. You must be known for what you believe and accept and what you reject. You must be soft, humble and broken towards the things of God and hard as nails to that which opposes.
The radical Christian is filled with passion. But it is passion for truth and against error!
Who you follow and receive from is most important. People cannot impart much more than who, or what they are. Is the message you receive from a messenger of the cross, the message of the cross?
In these end times we need to be wildly radical, in the face of worldly compromise! We need to soar way above the modern church. Not from a pride point of view, but to glorify God.
As the much of the church and the world sinks further and deeper into the mire, you need to fly ever higher!
It is easy to do with the Spirit of our Lord imparting His strength, power and wisdom to you. It is next to impossible without the Spirit of the Lord actively at work in you.
When we let God do the work in us we get the reward!
This magnificent portion of scripture above is so profound and says so much. Note the multiplying effect for the radical. Note the divine power and note the end result – escaping the world! – Wonderful – glory indeed!
Dying, we conquer!
Radicals beget radicals. Look for them, you will find them and something in your heart will bear witness with them, and you will rejoice.
The deeper you go with our Lord and more radical you are, the more disconcerted you become with the world. You will see its progression downwards and you will see your eternal separation from it. You see its terrifying future even now!
I took these pictures from a chopper flying over the Drakensberg Mountains. That’s the Tugela Falls, the second highest in the world.
Shalom and grow in His Grace!
