A hearty welcome to this the first edition of The Prophetic Scroll. Before I share with you details of the publication, let me share why it is launching today.
Today is called The Great Shabbat. This 10th day of Nissan was the day the children of Israel showed great defiance to Egypt (type of the world) by taking lambs into their homes for the Pesach offerings. The Egyptians hated this because they worshipped lambs and other animals as gods.
This day occurs rarely. It is happens when Shabbat occurs on the 10th of Nissan with Pesach.
The Great Shabbat also refers to the coming millennium. It was also the day our Messiah rode into Jerusalem and presented Himself as King of the Jews, to become the ultimate sacrificial Lamb. It also points towards the recognition of the Messiah by the Jews and the lifting of their blindness in this regard.
What's it all about?
Today marks the prayerful launch of this new exciting, informative and relevant multi-facetted publication.
This e-newsletter will go out once a week to you as a subscriber (free), with special editions sent out at any time if needs be. Each edition will be archived on the website, which has also just launched today.
The style will be short and to the point. Further in-depth teachings and articles will be presented on the website.
The content will be relevant to the current world macro-situation as reflected in some way in Bible prophecy, with the overall objective of bringing you knowledge, wisdom and understanding of these things. This will give you the opportunity to be ready in heart and soul and to be able to participate in the now-unfolding GREATEST DRAMA OF ALL TIME. This drama, which will put a thousand Shakespeare's to shame will be a great tragedy for many and for some it will be great glory!
World Watch:
The modern financial Babel!
Before I share with you many interesting items lets have a brief look at why these items are of interest now.
In the city of Babylon, (Genesis 11) the people of the world came together as one and tried to build a tower to reach God. What's wrong with that you may ask! Well, plenty simply because they tried to do it without going Gods way. Babylon was also the first home of banking so relates to the financial systems of the world as well. Babylon is also a type and shadow of the world at large and appears in numerous other portions of scripture relating to the modern world. There are also many double references where Babylon refers to the ancient city, but also to modern worldly or kingdom dominionist religion.
Today many people are trying to build a new world order, form a new world currency and do it all without God. As in the days of old, again God will destroy modern Babylon in all it's forms. "Babylon the Great is fallen is fallen" says Revelation
None of the following news items are actual complete fulfilments of prophecy, but are fore-runners, designed to soften and prepare the world for the final fulfilment.

It is hard to believe, but a majority of Americans (including Christians and conservatives) seem oblivious to the fact that there is a very real, very legitimate New World Order (NWO) unfolding. Obama Shockers:
The first act Obama performed after taking office escaped all but a few who are sensitive to the heart of God!
First act: Murder of untold thousands! Yes that's true. He ordered government financing for abortions in the US and reversed the bill allowing Christian doctors and nurses not to participate in abortions. In other words this now forces Christians, by law to participate in murder.
Obama declared "If my daughter made a mistake I would not want her to be punished with a child! (This became a well-known T-shirt slogan)

Summary:The above is a collection of news items and snippets from a wide variety of media over the last few weeks. Many of these items have been repeated in other media as well, so the issues are worldwide and not from just a few isolated publications.
Anyone with even a slight knowledge of Bible prophecy would be amazed at these news items...not so? Unfortunately no, not at all. The tragedy is that the great majority of believers have little or no interest in these things.
As in the days of Noah people were carrying on with life as normal and were not in slightest bit interested in the warnings coming from some old man building a huge boat in the desert!
War in the Middle East is coming soon:
Iran is talking of opening diplomacy with the US, while at the same time pursuing its nuclear aspirations. Netanyahu is determined not to let Iran get anywhere near to a nuclear weapon. The problem is that Ahmadinejad has the capacity to cripple the already injured world economy. 40% of the world's oil goes through the straits of Hormuz, controlled by Iran. Upheavals here will send oil flying and the world economy tumbling!My sense is that concessions made by Obama and his team will be seen by the Muslim world as weakness and only a strategy to gain further control. We are on the verge of a large war!This will consolidate the world against Israel and prepare the way for some of the most exciting times ever!Another great tragedy is that most believers do not understand that dividing the land of Israel and Jerusalem will not bring peace but war. This is revealed clearly in the book of Joel3:1,2 "In those days and at that time, when I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat and I will enter into judgement with them there, on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; they have also divided up My land." It is further revealed in Zachariah 12:3 "And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples, and all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it."The "destiny" players:Iran's Ahmadinejad, Israel's Netanyahu and Obama of the US
One of the big wars of Bible prophecy still to be fulfilled is found in Ezekiel 38 and 39 which relates to an incredible assault on Israel by Rosh (Russia today) and various allies. Today these allies are perfectly aligned as enemies of Israel. I will deal with this in greater detail in another edition, but one of the very interesting enemies of Israel in this war is Libya. Interestingly Gaddafi apparently made some sort of peace initiatives with the West some year ago. This was a pure front. He is now the new head of the African Union (AU). Here are a few recent quotes from Gaddafi:
"The Bible is a forgery". "Christianity is not for Africa". "Israel must cease to exist.","Jews must be driven into the sea." "Obama must negotiate with Bin Laden"

In closing this edition I would like to share with you some words of wisdom, for your prayerful thought:
Being right with God means being right in heart and in doctrine.
Jn16:13 "When He the Spirit of truth has come, He will guide you into all truth...and show you things to come"

I have walked with our Lord and saviour since 1976 and would like to testify to the fact that He is eternally faithful, all loving and ultimately the very essence of life itself. Things get better, deeper, richer and fulfilling as we go forward into all the new things that He has laid up for us.
