●You may have noticed that I've removed all Google ads from this website. The reason is that certain cults, disguised as Christian, repeatedly change their names so that they could be "allowed".  As soon as I blocked one, it re-appeared with another name. So Google isn't that clever after all!

The Nostradamus deception:

Introduction:

●I would encourage you to read edition 23 on the power of the media as a supplement to this edition.

This article is the result of a flood of new documentaries recently aired worldwide on the History Channel. Some titles include "Nostradamus 2012", "The Nostradamus effect" and others dealing more generally with 2012 and related subject matter. I believe that Hollywood has also jumped on the bandwagon with some similar movies, which I'll ignore.

One thing you can be very sure of is that the unsaved world is incapable of being led by the Spirit of the living God. Hollywood in particular is a total playground of demons. It is led by the spirit of its god, the devil himself all the way through.

●The History Channel (broadcast on various cable / satellite TV networks worldwide) is not much better. It mixes truth, error and deception to suite the story. Sensationalism sells, but we need to bear in mind that truth is the issue. Yes the Bible is full of incredible sensationalism, but IT alone is the full truth. Mixing truth and error is much the same as mixing poison into a good steak.

●Programs being broadcast on National Geographic are more and more becoming a disguised attack on truth. There have been new programs giving credence to other books that the Holy Spirit did not include in the original Bible, like the gospel of Thomas and others. Other programs examine things like the flood of Noah, the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. They come up with so-called natural phenomenon explanations. This of course denies the supernatural, and most importantly the judgement of God. National Geographic is a champion of the devil's religion of humanism.

James 3:11, 15 "Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening...this wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic."

The History Channel presents the teachings of Nostradamus, the Mayans, the Aztecs, the Hopi Indians the ancient Egyptian and Islam as collective truth. These may have some similar tenants to Bible prophecy but this does not make them the truth. Satan is a deceiver and comes an an angle of light.

Who was Nostradamus?

He was a French seer of the 1500s with Catholic roots. He was also well known for his research and manufacture of various herbal mixtures. He was expelled from university for this. He then moved into the study of the occult and changed his name to Nostradamus. He wrote 6,338 prophecies, some in trance-state. Many were based on various end-time prophecies of the Bible, which he knew well, but he twisted and added to them in various ways. He hired himself out to give psychic horoscopes. One of his clients was queen Catherine de Medicis. He admitted that his primary source was the occult.

Most ignorant people point to some prophecies of Nostradamus that were supposedly fulfilled and then give him huge credit. The truth is that most of his prophecies are so vague and nebulous that you can make them say almost anything! The fulfilment rate is therefore just as nebulous.

The images or paintings and sketches recently unearthed that are now being called the "Lost book of Nostradamus" are equally as vague. you can read all sorts of things into them.

I most certainly understand that Satan does know much about the future as well and does "share" his knowledge with his disciples, but beware, there is poison mixed in here.

Major errors:

The world will not end in oblivion as claimed in these programs. The present world system (socio, political, economic) or order will end with the second coming of our Lord and then a whole new world order of glory, peace, love and joy will come into place for 1000 years on this same earth. It will be purified and restored to the way it was supposed to be, and the way it was before the fall. The curse on nature that came about at Adam's fall will be lifted. Everything that is wrong with the environment will be put right by our Messiah.

Yes monumental troubles are coming first, and yes billions will be killed in the tribulation period, but there will also be a great revival during the time period, which of course these programs say nothing about. They are spin- doctors of fear, hopelessness and failure.

The Armageddon deception:

The battle of Armageddon will not occur in 2012! It will have no similarities with the Nostradamus prophecies at all. Armageddon occurs right at the close of the seven-year tribulation period. If it is to occur in 2012, we would be well into the tribulation now, which we are not in any way. Armageddon is a very short conflict in Israel, which sees our Lord destroy all the armies of the world and enemies of God gathered in Israel then.

Christ Himself puts an end to Armageddon, not the military powers of any nation.

Armageddon will involve demon spirits of various forms manifesting in various ways and satanically charged armies of people. It will culminate in their destruction and the setting up of the millennium and the reign of righteousness for 1000 years.

These programs present doom and gloom without hope and coming glory. They show and present a world deteriorating fast largely at the hand of man. They're mostly right about that, but what they don't show is the fact that Christ paid for the sins of man on the cross. He paid for all the evil, all hatred and all conflict on the cross. Our Messiah will return not with a crown of thorns but a crown of eternal glory.

He will not return as a gentle Lamb with forgiveness but as a roaring lion with judgement. Now is the time for forgiveness and salvation, don't wait until it's too late! "The Spirit of God will not strive with man forever" says the Bible. By the time the world gets to Armageddon it will be too late.

Other deceptions in these programs:

Satanic cults, the Aztecs, the Mayans, the Hopi Indians ancient Egyptians and Islam are some of the others quoted in the History Channel programs. Credence is given to them above God's word! They all have some prophecies of coming destruction. This does not make them right. For example one program declares that Jesus will return to the earth with the Muslim Mahdi  and put an end to war, setting up a world of peace. What they don't tell you is that Islam believes this, but that Jesus, the prophet, will be subject to the Islamic Mahdi! (have they got a surprise coming!)

The Bible truth:

The Bible shows very clearly in thousands of portions of scripture that huge conflicts, upheavals, disasters, and destructions are coming soon. It is all part of the judgement of God on a Christ rejecting world. Many of them will be far worse and severe than presented in these programs.

Gods time clock for all of the end time events to kick off, is Israel and not earthquakes and natural upheavals. Yes nature will throw a wild tantrum as these things approach, but the only time that they are significant is when aligned and combined with all the prophecies relating to Israel.

Biblical evidence supports 2011 rather than 2012 as the start of these events, or the start of the tribulation period. See edition 9 for more on this.

Conclusion...The bottom line:

The big satanic bottom line presented by the History Channel is this: They say to prepare for the coming of Armageddon you need to be good. Do good works they say. They close the programme by quoting from Islam..."you need to be and do many good works."

The big Godly bottom line is that you need to be saved and set free. You need to know our Lord and His word. Good works are only acceptable to God after salvation and once you've been born into His family.

The big Godly bottom line is that the Bible reveals massive disasters, troubles and judgements of God coming soon, while hope, comfort and peace is coming to those that are His. The Bible reveals that you had better be filled with fear and terror if you are not born into God's family. Gods word is true. It reveals what is coming, how its coming, when its coming and what you can do about it. Only the fullness of Bible prophecy adds up and falls into place like a giant jig saw puzzle.

The big bottom line is that only the true God offers real hope in His salvation plan. None of these false prophets offer any such thing! None but the Bible shows how to be gloriously saved and walk in freedom, victory and joy!

What is the point in being warned about the coming antichrist, wars, tribulations and troubles and remaining unsaved, destined for for hell?

Be warned on this: Adding to or taking away from Gods word always produces a cursed result! A little bit of truth doesn't make error right.

Seek our Lord and His truth:

The entire end-time message if rightly and fully understood and presented is a very powerful tool of evangelism. Everyone wants to know about the future. It is up to the believers to study these things out, to know all about them, to be able to offer a defence and correct interpretation of the soon-coming earth-shaking events and to offer salvation, hope and victory to those that are searching

Romans 8:18-21 "For I consider the sufferings of this present age, not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of all creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God...because the creation itself will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God."

1Thessalonians 4:17,18  "Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and thus we shall always be the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words."

Nahum 1:2 "He reserves His wrath for His enemies."

Heaven or hell:

"Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision" says the prophet Joel (3:14). There will be multitudes who will look on the horrors that are coming and be very sorrowful. They will reject salvation and trust in themselves. Many will curse God because of His judgements on the world. This will be the beginning of their eternal suffering, which will be far worse than the seven-year troubles coming upon the world soon. These troubles are for a short season. Hell is for eternity.

Great multitudes will look to our mighty God for salvation in the coming cataclysmic days and find it. They will leap for joy as the true and living God of glory brings hope, peace and promise into their lives. They will cry with excitement, knowing that our Messiah, King of the universe is about to judge the world and bring in everlasting glory.

In closing this edition here is a painting done by Michelangelo of the prophet Joel. He was given incredible insight into the close of this age and coming world conflict. He saw the judgement of God on the nations at the time when the world was trying to divide the land of Israel (Joel 3:2) He is the prophet who declares: "Prepare for war, wake up the mighty men...let them beat their ploughshares into swords. But unlike Nostradamus, Joel says: Turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping and with mourning".

How to identify cults and sects.

Firstly I want you to know that I have no interest in proving myself right and others wrong. I have absolutely no interest in towing the line of any church group or doctrine. My one and only motivation in all of the Prophetic Scroll is for you to get to know our Lord and saviour more deeply and intimately. I want the best for you as I do for myself. I want you to know God and Him to know you!

One of the major signs of the soon coming of the Lord is the arise of cults and sects. Yes they have always been around, but they will become a plague in the days before the return of the Lord. If this is true then we need to be aware of them and know how to identify them so that we can steer clear.

In what is called the Olivet discourse our Messiah is asked by His disciples what will be the sign of the end of the age. He then goes on and lists a bunch of things. Five times in this short discourse, He warns of coming deception. In fact the very first thing He says: Mathew 24:4 "And Jesus answered and said to them: Take heed that no one deceives you, for many will come in my name, saying I am the Christ and will deceive many." Further on in the same discourse Jesus says vs 24 " False christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible even the elect."

Sects:

Firstly, lets identify what a sect is. This will offend a great many, but if you have a problem with it please note who I'm quoting and go and speak to God about it.

Corinthians 1:10 "Sectarianism is sin" (This is the title of this discourse in the Bible) "Now brethren I plead with you, by the name of the Lord, that you all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions (sects) among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and judgement."

"Divisions" is simply another word for denominations. Denominations are sectarian by there very nature. They all speak and believe different things and not the same thing as this verse commands.

The other day I saw four different denominational church buildings each with different names, one on each corner, within view of each other...what a terrible situation.

A sect (short for sectarianism) is simply a division or denomination. This doesn't mean that they aren't saved, although many denominations would be suspect on this front.

That one shocking verse above is the entire desire of God for the church wrapped up in one verse. Its called UNITY. Unity is the opposite of sectarianism. Unity is the way to success and power.

Sectarianism (denominationalism) is not okay. In this day we are about to see an outpouring of the Spirit of God and the spirit of the devil at the same time. Sects are in grave danger of being swallowed up by the powerful forces of darkness masquerading as an angel of light.

Sects always overemphasise certain areas of scripture and ignore others. This always creates an imbalance and is the very reason why the divisions exist. Today many churches only preach half-baked, nice, happy motivational sermons.

There is only one pattern for the church. There should be one church divided only geographically. This is no small issue as revealed in the incredible judgements of Christ upon the divided church in the Revelation (Messages to the seven churches.) For more on this see edition 11 titled "Glory and horror".

Personally I believe that some sects will repent and go full on with our Lord in time to come, but many will join the great end time, false world church, which will become the tool of the false prophet and Satan himself at the close of the age.

The early church started off in unity. It was divided geographically only. For example there was the church in Jerusalem and the church in Antioch etc. it was in 300 AD when Constantine arrived on the scene that division started. He was a forerunner to the Catholic sect which came about in 600AD. Division and error in the church was the cause of the dark ages!

Sect is short for sectarian, which means division or denomination, while God demands unity. With this being the case we have to say that the church at large has failed in this regard.

Romans 16:17 "Now I urge you brethren, note those that who cause division (sects or denominations) and offences contrary to the doctrine which you learned and avoid them."

Unity, not sectarianism:

What is the answer? The answer is exactly what God says in the above verse and no less! This is; "speak the same thing, have no divisions and be of the same mind" The modern Messianic movement has divisions within it, but it is a lot further down the road to unity than all the regular divided up churches.

Here are just a few verses of scripture on the need for unity:

Ephesians 4: 25 "Each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbour, for we are all members of one body."

John 17: 11 "That they may be one as we are one."

John 17:21 "That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in Me and I in you. May they also be one in Us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me."

Can you see how important the above verse? The disunity in the church is the very reason why the world does not believe!!

Churches would do well do dissolve their hierarchical, institutional organisations, repent, believe God's word and form one church!

Cults:

If sects generally refer to sectarianism in the church, cults are no such thing. A cult is a religious organisation that is a complete fraud through and through. It's worship is illegitimate and in most cases it worships false gods. Many cults mix aspects of the Bible with their own doctrines.

Characteristics of cults:

The one single big thing is the rejection of the full work of the cross of Christ. As a result these people will always be led by the spirit of self, reason, good ideas and ultimately the devil himself.

Cults are almost always characterised by domination and control and are often very legalistic. Now of course there is a ditch on both sides of the road. Heavy enforced legalism is the ditch on the one side and complete liberalism or absence of order is the ditch on the other side.

Cults are always characterised by misdirected worship (sometimes in a subtle form) of their hero - leader. Cult members often imitate their leader in mannerism, voice and other areas. They become clones of their esteemed leader.

Cults always centre on and over-emphasise certain portions of scripture at the expense of others. They pick and chose the verses that suite their religion and ignore others. They are most concerned about building their own empire rather than the Kingdom of the true and living God.

There are many cults with leaders who have a messianic complex and preach and teach much about end time things. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water! End of age doctrine comes from the Bible. If a cult leader thinks he is the messiah, you wouldn't throw out the true Messiah would you? So don't throw out end-of-age doctrine because some cults preach it.

Cults often have an illegitimate excessive desire for and control of money. Again don't throw the baby out with the bathwater, running a ministry, evangelism and the like is very expensive. There is a difference between excellence in ministry and a satanic love for money and using it illegitimately.

Cults always become very critical of everyone that isn't in their fold. Their criticism is self originated and judgemental of the fact that others aren't like them. They discourage seeking and studying the fullness of the Bible. Again, don't throw the baby out with the bathwater, the Bible commands us to expose, condemn error and seek truth.

A cult will always undermine the importance of doctrine. They will say things like "don't worry about doctrine" and then insert their own self opinion as doctrine. Acts 20:27 Paul says "I've declared to you the whole counsel of God."

Many things in a cult may seem just like the real thing, but a cult is essentially of a wrong spirit and therefore even its right is wrong!

Many cults come very close to the truth. that is the nature of deception. You can't deceive someone with a $3 coin. Some say that the way to stay safe is to have a leadership structure that is spread out through the presbytery. That's rubbish. God always raises a leader, calls him, and places him. The issue is not so much what is done but in what spirit its done.

The Bible says that Satan comes as an angel of light. It's worth bearing that in mind. He may be able to duplicate and camouflage his religion, but if you have the Spirit of the living God in your heart, you will always see a wrong spirit within cults. In fact you will always be in conflict with the spirit of the devil.

1John 4:1-6 "Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits weather they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world...We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error."

Jude 18-19 is very insightful indeed: "In the last days there will be mockers, walking according to their own ungodly lusts, these are soulish persons who cause divisions, not having the Spirit."

How to stay safe:

The major central thing is to accept, receive and apply the work of the cross of Christ in all its ways and dealings into our lives. The application of the cross into our lives will defeat self, the world, the demonic and release the Spirit of God into us in a new dimension. The second big thing is to have and maintain a soft, broken and teachable heart before our Lord and to develop a love for the truth and pure Bible doctrine.

If the Spirit of the living God is alive and at work in our hearts He will lead us into all truth. He will lead us and give us a desire within to obey Him and move forward with Him in a loving way. He will lead those in the chains of bondage to freedom, if they truly want the Lord of truth to be Lord of their lives.

A true Spirit led leader will always direct you to the heart of our Messiah. His life's motivation will be to get himself into the presence of God and get you there too. He will know God and therefore have the fear of God in Him, he will know the truth thoroughly. He will warn you, edify you, uplift you, feed you good food (including lousy vegetables). He will be led by oceans of peace and there will be a witness within your heart that this leader is a servant of the living God.

A true leader will be seen to have Christ in Him, but will turn all worship to our Lord. He will have a real love for you. He will want to see you grow in the grace of God. He will will also be involved in corrective actions, rebuke and severe dealings when needed.

He will know God so intimately himself that he knows that he will stand before God answerable for everything he has done including his deep hidden motivations. This is why his big thing will be to see Christ formed in you and not himself formed in you.

A true leader will guide you into all truth, without adding or subtracting to the Word in any way. Paul said "I have not shunned to preach to you the full counsel of God"

It is quite correct (as the Bible reveals) to follow a God given leader, who is himself following the Lord by the Spirit with all the fruits evident. A true leader will be a man of humility but also of authority.

James 4:6 "God gives grace to the humble and resists the proud."

Thessalonians 2:9-10 "The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs and lying wonders, and with unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason, God will send them strong delusion that they should believe the lie."

1 Timothy 4:1  "Now the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times some will depart from the faith giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons."

2 Timothy 4:3 "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers and they will turn their ears from the truth."

2 Timothy 3:1-5 "Know this that in the last days perilous times will come, for people will be lovers of self...having a form of godliness, but denying its power. And from such turn away."

Conclusion:

There are huge amounts of people, billions in fact, who are and will fall hook, line and sinker for end time, false counterfeit religion. Yeshua / Jesus warns of it, Paul the apostle warns of it and the Old Testament is full of examples of how serious false, illegitimate worship is.

The amazing thing is that neither you nor I nor anyone in history has ever been able to live the Christian life successfully. God can live the Christian life. So the answer is simply to die to self. As I die He lives...that's the way to unity and absolute safety!

The big thing to look for in a church is the cross of Christ. It must be central in the preaching and teaching.

A friend of mine recently got involved with a church that I didn't know. I looked it up on the net and listened to a few podcasts. I read through all the sermon titles going back years. There was not one single teaching or even mention of the cross. There was plenty of self motivational, you-can-do it type of hogwash. Not surprisingly its a church of cursed replacement theology! This church operates in the energy of the flesh.

Oaky it's not an outright cult, but I would be full of fear to even walk in there!

A divided church has no power, it is incapable of fulfilling it's God given role.

Its good to bear in mind that many outright cults began as a 'normal' church. With the cross obscured, error and division comes in and further down the line hell itself takes over!

People seek and want power. They want power because it gives them acceptance and makes them feel important. This is the desire of the flesh and soul. It will be increasingly met and fulfilled by the devil in these days.

Seek our Lord and His truth:

Your heart and soul is at risk in these days. The devil is roaring, seeking whom he may devour. The pressures are enormous and all around us. The great satanic god, Hollywood, is at work. Music, advertising and media of all forms are predominant in this post-modern, post-truth world of variables. Much of the new Christian generation is a shocking rebellion against God. It is and will lead to hell.

The good news is that it's simple to stay safe and grow in our Lord. It may not always be easy, but it's simple. You see, we have been so indoctrinated with the ways of the world and watered down Christianity, that's its difficult to break away from this norm. But its simple. All you need to do is die to your own effort, call on our God with all your heart and trust Him to lead you on in truth to glory.

John 8:31-32 "If you abide in My word you are My disciples indeed and you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free."

Psalm 16:11 "You will show me the path of life, in your presence fullness of joy at your right hand are pleasures forevermore."

A soft, broken, humble heart before our Lord, a hard heart to the devil and a cultivated ongoing love for truth is the way to safety in these times and just for good measure, the way to God's heart.

Heaven or hell:

So near yet so far, far away! At Calvary our wonderful Messiah offered salvation to two people about to die right next to Him on their own crosses. They both stepped into eternity right then. One called out for salvation and received it just in time, while the other refused. Young woman; salvation is very close to you. Very soon it may too late for you and your beauty will be exclusively for the devil and all of hell to admire. An unsaved friend of mine was killed in a head on accident the other day. She died so suddenly her eyes remained open. She had no time to call on the Lord!

Old man, even at your age, salvation is a breath away! You still have time to call out to our Lord and saviour. If you do (or have) your future is one of untold and unimaginable glory...for ever. Don't wait until its too late. You need to do it now. You will live forever and its up to you weather its in hell or heaven.

News events and issues of prophetic importance.

●The CIA of the US and M16 of the UK and some other top spy agencies whom I don't want to name now are saying that Iran may have a working nuclear bomb by April 2011. You can be absolutely sure that Israel will not allow nuclear weapons in Iran to get anywhere near to the "working" stage.

●Der Spiegel says that according to its sources Iran may be able to have a simple nuclear bomb ready before the end of this year.

●The Times of London has just reported that Iran already has a neutron initiator. That's the A-bomb trigger mechanism.

Be aware that Iran's enemy is not only Israel and the West but the Sunni-based oil states of the region. Iran has also got Iraq in its sights. It has not forgiven nor forgotten the war between them some years ago.

Most people in the West don't have the foggiest idea how deep rooted the divisions and hatreds are between the Sunnis and Shites. I can tell you now that Iran is funding Shia rebels in Yemen and Iraq as well as in its big prize, Saudi Arabia. Yes Iran wants to wipe Israel off the map, but it also wants to be recognized as a world leader and to get revenge on its Arab enemies.

●Iran has a massive Shia network of supporters and fighters in Afghanistan and Lebanon (Hezbollah) and in many other regions.

●Iran may well unify all of these objectives into one huge thrust against Israel. In this scenario it would kill two birds with one stone or so it thinks.

●Abu Dhabi has just spent $17 billion on anti missile hardware. The UAE and Saudi Arabia have recently together spent $25 billion on defensive systems. In fact Saudi Arabia is seen by many Arabs as a totally corrupt US ally. They are all preparing for war between Arab factions.

You can be sure that this Jihad-generation will be savage ruthless and it will all involve oil. This will have dramatic consequences for the world economy. I have carefully studied all the wars in the Middle East since the Second World War and all of them sent the oil price higher in varying degrees. Right now the world economy is still on crutches and in fact may be ready to head for the dreaded double dip recession. A sharply rising oil price now would knock the world economy right off it's crutches and onto its back!

We are on the verge of an epic Arab Sunni / Shia show-down to put them all to shame and the great prophesied conflicts between the Arab world and Israel. The fuse for full-on war is burning! We are now in the short lull before the storm.

●At the same time Europe is heading for greater upheavals as the sovereign debt issues spiral out of control. You aint seen nothing yet! Greece may be off the radar for now, but it won't be for long. The pain in Spain is about to hit the fan. Germany is in big trouble, with no hope of getting out of it's debt without very severe austerity programs that will bring their own additional problems. France is teetering on the brink and the UK is in huge financial trouble, much of which is still to surface.

The point is that Europe is in transition to its ill-fated epic end-time destination.

●World stock markets have done very well since the March 08 low. Most of the major markets have been in a good upward trend in anticipation of global economic recovery. Stock markets are always anticipatory. They price in the future about six to nine months down the line. Back in March 08, the world was still in its crushing recession, yet that was the start of the market upturn and bull run. It was anticipatory.

But now we are seeing a gradual topping out of the markets. They have run out of momentum and could be ready for another severe downturn. They would be pricing in a soon coming new economic crisis. 26 of the world's emerging markets will be a lot less affected, but they will be clobbered by the coming fiscal meltdown in the developed world.

The US is well beyond becoming an empire of unsustainable debt. Uncle Sam and his sidekick Humpty Obama will soon watch as their empire comes down like the tower of Babel!

●The gold price is likely to rocket as it's safe haven status comes into play, although this won't last into the tribulation period.

What we are going to see soon is the rise of Islamic Jihad, the arise of conflict with Israel, the restructure and re-mergence of Europe and the rise of Catholicism combined with lukewarm churches into a Satanically driven world religious leadership system (The false prophet)

The soon coming of the Lord:

In previous editions I have touched on some of these issues, but I now want to include additional important insights and give you a very clear picture as we put the pieces of the puzzle together.

But first some background and an answer to the dumb critics who repeated say and teach that no one knows the time of the coming of the Lord.

Mathew 24:32-34 "Now learn (original word is a command) this parable from the fig tree. When it's branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that the summer is near. So you also when you see all these things, know (original word is a command) that it is near, even at the door. Assuredly I say to you, This generation will not pass away until all these things are fulfilled."

Bearing the original words in mind we could say: "Now, I command you to learn..." "When you see all these things, I command you to know..."

That messes up the "no one knows the time" bunch doesn't it.

The fig tree is used in many places as a reference to Israel. So what our Messiah is saying here is that when Israel becomes a nation again, the coming of the Lord is near. The generation that sees these thing, will be the final generation.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-6 "But concerning the times and season brethren, you have no need that I should write to you, for you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say peace and safety then sudden destruction comes upon them as labour pains and they shall not escape, But you brethren are not in the darkness, so this Day should overtake you as a thief...let us watch and be sober"

The above verse speaks of the fact that the Day of the Lord comes as a thief to the unsaved. For when when they (the unsaved) are saying "peace and safety" destruction comes upon them suddenly. Then the passage switches to the believers saying..."But you brethren are not in the darkness."

Note that this verse is talking of the "times and season"! My question to the "no one knows the time" mob is'''"what do you do with this verse.?

2 Peter 3:3-4 Knowing this first that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, saying. "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the father fell asleep all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation."

John 16:13 "When He the Spirit of truth has come He will guide you into all truth...He will show you things to come."

Amos 3:7 "The Lord does nothing unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets."

Daniel 12: 9,10 Go your way Daniel for these words are sealed up until the end time. Many shall be purified and made white, but the wicked will do wickedly and none of the wicked shall understand.

Zechariah 14: 7 Speaking of the coming of the Lord it says: "It shall be a day which is known to the Lord"

So now we have verses ●commanding us to know the time, ●saying that the brethren are not in the darkness about the time and season and we have the word of our Lord saying that ●He will show us things to come ●It is the wicked who shall not understand.

Some pointers towards the soon coming of the Lord:

Mathew 24:37-38 "But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of man be, for as in the days before the flood they were eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage until the day that Noah entered the ark."

Luke's account adds "the days of Lot"

The conditions in the days of Noah and Lot are just like the conditions today. In other words people are unprepared today, just as they were before the flood and couldn't care less about coming judgement. Even most Christians today, have little or no interest in these things. They are getting married having kids and planning for a long happy future in the world, while the warnings are all around us.

The times of Noah were also characterised by extreme evil in the world, with much violence. The times of Noah and Lot (Luke 17) were also days in which homosexuality was rife, just like today. There are many other similarities, but the main thing I want you to see is that Noah knew judgement was coming. He knew when it was coming and he spent much time warning of this impending cataclysmic judgement. Not only did he know and warn of judgment he prepared for it by building a huge boat. He didn't build it in some secret place. Everyone saw it and knew what he was doing and yet, except for eight people they didn't care.

Here are some interesting things that happened: Noah finished building the ark and filling it with animals. Then from the inside God summoned him in. God then closed and sealed the door shut. What happened next? ...Nothing at all happened. God said Genesis 7:1-4 "Then the Lord said to Noah, come into the ark you and your household...for after seven more days I will cause it to rain".

So, Noah heeded Gods warning by listening to Him and preparing for the coming judgement. Hebrews 11:7 adds some detail and says " Noah by faith, being warned of God concerning events not yet seen took heed...by this he condemned the world."

God gave many clear warnings of impending judgement. He then said it would take seven days after everything was ready and in place for the judgement to start falling from the sky. It was not and is not God's style to catch people out and catch them unprepared. God loves the world in the sense that He wants them saved. He always warns ahead of time. He has always done this and now its no different.

Yet today we have a great many (perhaps the majority) of churches teaching and preaching that no one knows the time. "Don't get into this heavy end-time stuff" they say. Many come against end-time teaching and preaching with strong arrogant attacks.

Today many churches are Laodicea through and through and on the road to disaster. They are filled with self-opinion and reject or downplay a great part of the scriptures.

The Ark.

Because the characteristics of the time we are in now are compared with the "days of Noah" in the Bible, I would not be surprised if the remnants of the ark are found soon as a confirming sign.

I've personally had a great interest in this and tried to organise an expedition to Ararat many years ago, but the government of Turkey turned it down. I then tried to organise another expedition later with Jim Irwin one of the NASA moon visitors. He had been up there to Ararat a few times before, but he died before the new trip got off the ground.

There are so many stories. legends, rumours, and evidence of varying importance of the remains of some large wooden, hand fashioned object under the ice cap in the area called the Ahora Gorge on the side of mount Ararat. The Bible says that the Ark came to rest on Ararat.

●I think God has prevented it from being found until a specific time in the near future.

The US Pentagon is rumoured to know a lot more than they've released. One piece of now-petrified, hand tooled wood was found in the snow in one season when the ice cap receded more than normal.

Mount Ararat is a dormant volcano, but it is always active with rumblings and small earth tremors. The mountain used to be much lower and has been rising in height for many years. It could be that volcanic activity or warmer temperatures will melt the ice cap and reveal just what is there.

Some applications have been put forward to the Turkish authorities to allow expeditions to use ground penetrating radar to "see" through the ice. Either way, the mountain will soon reveal its secrets. Apart from being the greatest ever archaeological discovery, it will have earth shattering, stunning, dramatic spiritual implications.

●It will be the sign that Yeshua / Jesus is coming very soon, not as a gentle lamb, but a roaring lion in judgement on an entire Christ rejecting world!

If the remnants of the ark are found soon, be very sure of one amazing thing: It will confirm to many sceptics that God's Word is true and it will be one of the final great signs that judgement is about to fall on the world.

Seek our Lord with all within you:

The true church of the living God is an alive born-anew organism consisting of those with the Spirit of the living God living a glorious life inside of them. Its not a divided, institutional, organised, humanistic place of tradition and control.

The world is going to go through some horrific changes soon as Satan enters the human being who will be the antichrist. Here are some of the surprising global changes revealed in Isaiah 10:13 onwards. This is speaking of the soon coming antichrist: "By the strength of my hand I have done it and by my wisdom. I have removed the boundaries of the people and have robbed their treasuries. I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man. My hand has found like a nest, the riches of the people...I have gathered all the earth and there was no one who resisted me."

Can you see what this is saying? A time of absolute control is coming. This speaks of control of the nations of the world as they become one- world. It speaks of powerful financial control. This will be a new from of socialism like Marxist / Leninism.

Obviously it ties in perfectly with the financial system of control spoken of in the Revelation, which declares that no one will buy or sell unless they are marked and part of the antichrist system.

Be ready and get your own life right with God. Beware of the arise of institutionalised organised Laodicea! When it comes to your own personal spiritual well -being you need to realise that there is a huge gulf between the lukewarm church of toady and the truth. These churches teach you to accept things the way they are and not to rock boats of tradition. These Christians are stage-managed and taught to look no further than their own world. They become passive observers and blind followers of a very small, limited aspect of truth. This is the tragedy of much modern Christianity today. It's evident in the church, the cell group, the fellowship clubs and right through their lives. They are deeply rooted in their own ways and the ways of the world and will not change! A false unity and form of control is forced upon them.

True Bible-based Christianity was never intended to be a mechanism to promote social clubs, denominationalism, sectarianism, traditionalism, control and money centred religion or any other such thing.

Thankfully a great many believers today want to move forward with our Lord and want to change. They smell the stench of death in the institutional church. They see their self righteous churches as an obstacle to their own growth. Many wonderful believers have been dragged down and become trapped in religiosity. Religious empires of personal ambition, apathy to the truth, greed and compromise are all around us today.

The light of the living God shines into the hearts of those who are open to Him. Our glorious Messiah will take you forward with Him, if you set your heart after Him.

How can you be ready for our soon coming Messiah when your church doesn't believe it and teach it?

Its time to become a revolutionary! Revolutionaries have this simple mindset: Do whatever it takes to get closer to our wonderful Messiah! Revolutionaries are radical people and let nothing stand in their way. They are single minded as they get themselves onto God's path!

John 3: 17-19 "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn it, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already...and this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world and men loved darkness rather than light."

John 10: 7-11 "I am the door of the sheep. All who came before Me are thieves and robbers; but the sheep did not heed them. I am the door; if anyone enters by Me he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to kill and destroy; I came that you may have life, and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep."

Heaven or hell:

Your beautiful eyes will see nothing but eternal suffering with all those in hell, OR your eyes will soon look upon the glorious saviour of the world as He lovingly accepts you into heaven forever. And what makes the difference? It all depends on weather you've been born into His family, while you had the chance and time here on earth. The key is to use your eyes to look for that which you can't see just yet!

Old hands what have you done? All your works all your life will amount to nothing if you didn't have our Lord living in your heart by the new birth. All the good works your hands have done will not get you saved! But if you have been born anew, the works your hands did in His name will be rewarded and those rewards will endure forever.

In the news:

Before we get into this edition, I'd like to draw your attention to some interesting news items that are prophecy related:

●A news item crossed my desk a week ago which jumped out and grabbed my attention. It said that Germany and France were secretly planning a new Europe-wide federal government after Greece is bailed out.

●I've maintained for some time that Europe in its present form is not yet in it's end-time form, but its getting there. Now another news item of prophetic interest is that Europe is going to form its own new monetary fund to rival and replace the US-based International Monetary Fund (IMF)

●Greece is still in the news as it teeters on the brink of sovereign debt default. Spain is next. It's economy is much larger than Greece. There are now cracks appearing in the French economy as well. It may be in line for economic shaking next. The UK is on the verge of losing its triple A rating, which will send its currency down a lot further and cause many knock on problems.

●Russia has just cold-shouldered Binyamin Netanyahu of Israel by selling advanced S300 missiles to Iran. Iran has cold shouldered every non-Muslim nation in the world by proceeding to enrich uranium to weapons grade. Isn't it interesting that not one Muslim nation has opposed Iran in this.

●Iran begins production of its own cruise missiles. These are able to carry a nuclear warhead.

●IAEA now says Iran IS preparing to make a nuclear bomb.

●One headline declared, "Dire warning: Israel must strike Iran now." The article goes on to say that Tehran will have nukes before the UN or Obama can do anything!

●Obama accused of helping Iran.

●Syria debates attacking Israel

●Old Jewish tribe found in Zimbabwe.

These news items again point to the fact that the world is on course for its dramatic confrontation with God. Bible prophecy is in many ways being fulfilled before our eyes. They also point to the fact that time is getting shorter!

The central issue is that the world is not getting better and safer! We are on the verge of some very dramatic developments. I can't emphasise enough how important it is to know your Bible in these days. I've said many times and will say so a lot more; the way to be safe in these days is to have a soft, broken heart before our Lord, to know Him and to be right in doctrine.

False doctrine or ignorance always leads to wrong living and choices. In the case of prophecy, it leads to ill-preparedness with many huge consequences!

Daniel's 70 weeks

There are many "hidden" messages with a double reference in this prophecy that are truly incredible. They tie in perfectly with many other prophecies in Jeremiah, Ezekiel and some others. I will share these in the next edition which I hope to have ready over the weekend. Be prepared for some real surprises!

This very important prophecy outlines the central role that Israel, Jerusalem, the temple and the Jewish people have played and will again play in the future. The prophecy dramatically foretells of two coming world rulers, one who will rule forever and one who will rule for a very short season with earth shattering consequences.

Daniel 9:24-27 "Seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city. To finish transgression. To make an end of sins. To make reconciliation for iniquity. To bring in everlasting righteousness. To seal up the vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy. Know therefore that from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem to Messiah the Prince, there shall be seven weeks and sixty two weeks, the street shall be built again and the wall, even in troublesome times. And after the sixty two weeks Messiah shall be cut off but not for Himself and the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and sanctuary the end of it shall be with a flood and until the end of the war desolations are determined. Then he will confirm a covenant with many for one week, but in the middle of the week he shall bring an end to the sacrifice and offering. And on the wings of abominations shall be one who makes desolate."

This is perhaps the most important prophecy in the Bible. Some call it the skeleton upon which all else is built. Some interpretations of this are very fanciful and terribly complicated and a waste of time. What I want to do now is ignore all the peripheral unimportant issues and deal with the simple, obvious and logical view.

The first thing we need to understand is that the original word used for "week" in this prophecy is the word "shabuwa" which literally means a "seven". So this obviously, and in the context, is not talking about weeks of days but weeks or sevens of years. Because it was written in Old Testament times we also need to use the Hebrew year of 360 days in the calculations.

Let's now break this down in simple terms.

In this single prophecy Daniel predicts the greatest events of history and the coming greatest events of the near future. He also gives timelines for these dramatic events.

70 weeks (years) or 490 years are determined upon your people (the Jews) These events will take place.

●To finish transgression and make an end of sins.

●To bring in everlasting righteousness (Millennium and beyond)

●The triumphal entry of Messiah into Jerusalem

●The cutting off or crucifixion of Messiah (not for Himself...for us)

●The destruction of Jerusalem and the temple.

●The coming of the antichrist.

●The antichrist setting himself up as God in the temple (abomination of desolation)

●The coming of the seven year tribulation period.

●Tribulation desolations determined.

The starting point of the prophecy, until the coming of Messiah the Prince is indicated as the command to restore and re-build Jerusalem and it's walls. This is found in Nehemiah 2:1-8 and is called the decree of Artaxerxes. According to well researched chronology this happened at 445BC. This was the starting point for this great prophetic clock.

The prophecy gives the time until Messiah the Prince is cut off, and then it gives the time until Jerusalem and the temple are destroyed by the people of the prince who is to come. It then goes on to say that there will then be one week (7 years) during which he (the antichrist) will bring an end to sacrifices and bring in many desolations.

Very elaborate calculations have been done by many, taking into account the 360-day year and allowing for leap years and most agree and come to the same conclusion. I am not going to get into these calculations here, but I have done them myself as well.

The diagram above presents the summary and gives a simple visual interpretation.

Some analysts object to the gap between the 69th and 70th week interpretation because the prophecy itself doesn't mention or imply a gap. This is where simple logic comes in.

If there was no gap, (of about 2000 years) the entirety of the prophecy including the tribulation would have come and gone long ago. Secondly, the church age was a mystery to those in the Old Testament period, they could not see it, so Daniel did not write about it. There simply has to be a gap between the 69th and 70th week representing the church era.

The 70th week (or tribulation period) is part of the 70 weeks but doesn't follow immediately after the 69th due to the church age gap. Because it is part of Daniels prophecy, the 70th week distinctly relates to Israel and the Jews. The prophecy says that 70 weeks are determined upon your people, which is the Jews.

The prophecy says that Jerusalem and the temple will be destroyed by the people of the prince who is to come. This prince (the antichrist) will cease sacrifices half way through the tribulation. The Romans destroyed Jerusalem in 70 AD, so we can accurately say that the person who is to become the antichrist will arise from the revised Roman empire. This today is Europe, but not in its present form. To more accurately fit Bible prophecy Europe needs to include Turkey and become more compassionate to Islam.

The abomination referred to here is also mentioned by Jesus in Mathew 24:15 "So when you see standing in the holy place, the abomination that causes desolation, spoken of through the prophet Daniel"... This indicates that the person to become the antichrist will set himself up in the temple in Jerusalem.

This is truly amazing and points to the precision of Bible prophecy.

By the way, the thick black lines on the chart above refer to the Old Testament period, implying that the tribulation period is a return to or the completion of the Old Testament.

Mathew 23:38,39 "See your house has been left to you desolate, for I say to you, you shall see Me no more until you say, 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord'"

It's important to realise that Bible prophecy covers many aspects of things. In most cases it's simply God predicting the future. This doesn't means as some believe, that He is sitting in heaven pushing buttons to make things happen. Yes there will be a time in the tribulation period soon to occur, where God will most certainly be "pushing buttons" of incredible judgement. But this will only be then. He has warned about this, but its good to remember that "He reserves His wrath for His enemies."

Summary:

These are the most important and dramatic events of world history past and future. They are all contained in just a few sentences! It's wrong to see this in isolation, simply because all other prophecy ties in perfectly.

This incredible prophecy fits in perfectly with the prophecy of our Lord, called the Olivet discourse, in which He outlines His second coming and the tribulation period. It also fits in perfectly with the entirety of the Revelation. It fits in perfectly with other prophecies from Daniel. In fact it fits in perfectly with all other prophecy of the Bible.

Conclusion:

To deny all of this exposes your ignorance or perhaps deception. If you have problems with this I strongly urge you to study these things out yourself. Do not study the Word of our Messiah through the eyes of church doctrine though. Just read it straight! Also bear in mind that you can't take this or any portion of scripture in isolation. If you read your Bible without pre-conceived ideas all will dove-tail together and fit like a jigsaw puzzle.

If you allow yourself to be led by His Spirit as you study, you will be led into all truth and peace will be the result.

Bible prophecy is perhaps the most important aspect of our spiritual lives, it is so exciting. It is also a very powerful tool of evangelism. Almost everyone has some interest in their future. Prophecy answers all of the most important questions of life. it gives hope, encouragement and above all, helps you prepare for the soon coming of our great King and Messiah.

Daniel 7: 13-14, 22 "I was watching in the night visions and behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days. To Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all nations should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion...The Ancient of Days came and judgement was made in favour of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom"

Heaven or hell:

Young woman, your life is before you, but you may not have the time ahead that you think you will have. You may be planning for a long successful life, but your your life may end tomorrow. It may not be long before the coming of our Messiah. Are you planning for His coming? Are you running your own life your own way, or are you being wise and planning for eternity now? If you don't let our Messiah into your life, He will not let you into His eternal kingdom!

Old man, is your head-full of gray hair indicating your wisdom? You are on the verge of a journey that requires deep yet very simple wisdom! If you set off on your journey to eternity without the knowledge and salvation of God in your heart, your destination will be hell. Your tombstone may say RIP, but you will not rest in peace like your dead body. If you chose the life of God, your journey will lead to eternal glory and true wonderful peace!
