Order in the storm:

Spirit-led study of the Bible tears the veil between yourself and the author of the Bible in your heart. This has a great calming effect and puts you at peace with God.

It is the peace of God in your heart that rules as an umpire. (Colossians 3:15)

There are two giant watershed issues playing out now that are and will affect the church and cause many to fail. Firstly, we are in the time of the playing out of eschatology (end-times). Secondly, many churches pay no attention to eschatology (the study of end-times.)

These churches are unprepared, worldly, worthless, vulnerable and have no inner peace except the world’s peace, which is a lie. Their leaders are to blame

Zechariah 11:17 “Woe to the worthless shepherd, who leaves the flock.”

Huge numbers of Christians have been hoodwinked by their church, some intentionally and some in ignorance. They have been led to believe that they must follow and obey church orthodoxy and tradition above full biblical doctrine. So they never make Spirit-led Bible study central.

They never see the things their church won’t preach – like eschatology as the eschatological storm widens.

The big danger for the Christian teacher is that when he goes off into error in one area it generally knocks on to other areas too, and pretty soon he is way off! Excluding a large part of the Bible, like prophecy, is just the same as going off into error!

The closer you get to our Lord, the more you trust in Him no matter what. That is the attitude God is looking for in His servants. It’s easy to trust in the Lord when all is going well, but what about the dark times and the big storms of life?

Job 13:15 “Though He slay me, yet I will trust in Him...”

Habakkuk 3:17-18 “Though the fig tree does not bud and no fruit is on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though the sheep are cut off from the fold and no cattle are in the stalls, yet I will exult in the Lord. I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.

The above verse relates very much too these end times, which are characterised by the fig tree budding and the olive tree.

Do you see the safe attitude revealed in these verses above?

We are now in the feast season. The seven feasts of the Lord and their major prophetic parallels began with the Feast of Passover and end with Tabernacles. We are now in the feast time marked by Pentecost – the church age. It is also called the long hot summer, which then introduces the final three fall feasts.

The prophetic parallel of Passover was the events of the cross of Calvary, which took place in three days and nights.

Why did the Catholic church change three days and nights to two? Was it three days and nights or two? If it was two, then that is another Jesus! If it was three, that’s not the Jesus of the Catholic church! Do you see the gravity, and implications of making this forbidden change?

This is part of the root of cursed replacement theology, so deeply entrenched in the Catholic church and other orthodox churches today. (And many others)

I often wonder what people look like who will go to hell. The Bible reveals that the number is huge. They will be normal, ordinary-looking people. Perhaps this is why the Bible speaks five times more of hell than heaven. Very few churches today speak of hell at all.

The great majority by far will be people with no living knowledge of the Bible. Now, more than ever you need to retreat into the Spirit of God in your heart and into the welcoming pages of God’s word. You need to know what will injure you and what is safe at this time.

The Bible speaks of “resisting the devil – then he will flee from you”. You need to know what to resist and how to resist and how to keep those doors closed.

Part of resisting the devil includes resisting the world and its pressure on us to conform to its ways. You need to correctly identify things that are just ordinary and things that are spiritually charged with demonic forces.

On this subject, many people will never get free from addictions of all sorts because they think it’s an addiction, when in fact it is demon activity and oppression at work. You can cast out a demon. You can’t cast out an addiction.

Demons are in fact invisible people without bodies. You can’t see them, but you can see the effects of their presence and operation. You have to make a correct diagnosis to deal with them. They are multiplying and expanding their operations and influence today.

Thoughts on the coming of the Lord:

Sometimes I wonder to myself why the Bible seems to make a bit of an issue over something so very minor or obscure. Then it hits me!

Consider this rather odd thing:

Feet in the air and feet hit the ground!

At the rapture Yeshua’s feet do not touch the ground He meets us in the air, in the clouds as we are taken. At the Second Advent, the Bible makes an issue of Yeshua descending slowly, as He left and His feet touching the ground at the Mount of Olives.

Why such a clear, almost laboured distinction?

The implication and meaning is far reaching. At the rapture the meeting is in the sky in a blinding flash. This represents the church and her destination which is heaven. At the Second Coming, which is where the tribulation saints and Jews have their salvation completed, their destination, the Millenial earth is inferred.

The rapture takes place in an atomic moment, and is seen by no one. The Second Coming is a slow, drawn-out event seen by all.

The Bible also makes a very clear unmistakable difference and separation between the two coming of the Lord, one being for the church and the other for Israel.

There is no way at all that the two events are the same, as proclaimed by the post-tribbers.

Amazingly the post-trib crowd still can’t get it right. They still see one coming at the end of the tribulation. Talk about being blinded!

By the way, tongues began at Pentecost and continues through the church age till its end, which is where they “cease” (1 Corinthians 13:8), but there is no evidence of tongues being used in the tribulation. It is the church that is indwelt by the Holy Spirit, not the tribulation saints. This is another distinction between dispensations.

Have you ever wondered why the Bible says there will be no marrying in heaven, but there will be in the Millennium? Again this speaks of two distinct destinies with their own characteristics.

In many biblical things, especially related to end times there is a clear order of things. If you get the order wrong, the whole thing does not fit together properly and you are in danger.

The Spirit of God does things decently and in order! (1 Corinthians 14:40)
